How to Get Ahead of 99% of People BEFORE The New Year

This is a December 1, 2024 YouTube motivational talk by Elay Amitay Halevi advising viewers to treat December as "month zero" — an opportunity to get ahead of most people by reviewing November, identifying root causes of unhelpful patterns, and setting three specific, non-negotiable goals for the next 30 days. The speaker guides listeners through a practical worksheet-style process (what went well, what could have gone better, why it happened, what to keep/change, three goals, imagined outcomes, and a firm decision to recommit daily) and emphasizes execution, momentum, and becoming a person who keeps their word.

You, if you do everything I said here today, you are going to have something that 99% of people going into the new year will not have. You're going to have momentum in the direction that you want to go in. And so as you roll into the first of the year, you're going to be like, get out of the way. I'm already on the way. I'm already moving. It's the getting moving that's difficult. It's the getting moving that requires you to exercise your conscious will and keep deciding to recommit to this version of you, which when your old self is going to keep trying to pull you back in and keep you stuck. Hi, guys. Welcome back to the channel. If you are coming onto this video with the mindset of having a very chill, very relaxed December, then this video might not be for you because this is for the people that want to get a head start on the year ahead. A lot of people treat December as kind of a nothing month, as a month to just relax, take it easy, and by all means, if you feel called to do that, you do that. If that's what feels good to you in the season, then that's fine. But this video is not going to be for you. Most people do that just because it's what the norm is. Okay? So most people decide to go into December and relax and let their goals slide because it's more socially acceptable to be doing that and to be stuffing your face, to be letting stuff go, to be winding now at work. That's what everyone does in December. But if you're in a season where you're getting ready to change your reality, you, your personality, your characteristics and everything about your life, then December can actually be a really incredible month to get ahead of 99% of people. Most people, they see December as a month to just slack off and give up on their goals. But people who are winning in life see December as a time to just lay the foundations for the year ahead. So don't think just because it's December that means that, you know, you can just chill out and let everything go. On the contrary, it's almost like that energy of getting up at 4am or 5am before everyone else gets up in the morning because you know everyone else is going to be chilling and relaxing. You have this, like, underdog energy in December where you can really use this to your advantage. And when you know everyone else is chilling out, you can be the one that's actually setting the foundations for the year ahead and actually hustling towards what you want. So there are 30 days remaining. This is going to be posted on the 1st of December, and I have my whiteboard back out again because this is going to be a very practical video. If you see me going up and down, it's because I'm on my tippy toes. But we're going to go through step by step how to actually lay the framework for the year ahead. And I want you to just remember this, this month, by the end of the year, by the end of 2025, you could be in a whole different state of being. You could have a different state of mind. You could be happier, you could have more money in your account. Contrary to what people say and believe, you don't have to blow all your money and have nothing left. By the end of the year, you can have things your way. You can start aligning with the version of you that you've always wanted to be. And by the end of this month, you could be completely unrecognizable and going into the new year as this new, empowered, amazing, successful version of you who's able to completely attack the year ahead. So don't let these 30 days go to waste. If you feel like you've wasted the whole year, if you feel like it's just slipped through your fingers, then don't worry, it's not over yet. You've still got 30 days. You've still got time. And we're going to go through today how to actually start setting you up for success. When everyone else is chilling and relaxing. You are going to be focusing on what you can do now in the next month to get you in a position where going into the new year, you feel excited and ready to go. So December is month zero. It's gonna be month zero. You can start over by month zero. What does that imply? You can wipe out everything that happened this year. Okay, you can decide from this day going forward, not January 1st, December 1st. Going forward, you're letting go of all the that's been holding you back all year. And this is going to be the perfect foundation for everything that's to come in the next 12 months. You've got 30 days to do it. You've got loads of time. So allow yourself to start viewing December not as month 12, not as winding down, not as admitting defeat to the year, not as dwelling on everything that's happened, but as the beginning of next year already starting today, right now, starting with this video. And you're gonna want to get a pen and a piece of paper because this is going to be very practical. If I could go through the effort of hanging up this whiteboard for you and it was really inconvenient to do. You can go through the effort of getting a pen and paper because it's going to be follow along video this one. Okay, so December is month zero. You can let go of everything else that happened before before we can let go of everything. We don't want to do that in an energy of avoidance. Okay, first step is actually we need to get really honest about what could have gone better this year. Okay. What results have we been getting? What went wrong and what could have gone better. So once you get honest with yourself about that, then you can actually improve it. If you're living in denial, it's very hard to change something. So we're going to do this by simply looking at not the whole year because that's overwhelming, but we're going to do November in review. So we're going to review the month of November, how that went for you and we're going to split this up into different questions that we're going to go through together. So you better be writing them down so that you can have clarity on how you've actually been behaving and and why you've actually been feeling and acting the way that you have been. Cuz I'm imagining if you've clicked on this video it's cuz you want things to change. So don't worry, we're going to do it together. This whiteboard could fall off this wall at any moment. Let's pray it does not. By the way, the other video I have on. Stop being yourself if you hate your life. All my other videos, if you need anything deeper, this is just going to be very practical. This is going to be a tool, this is going to be a step by step thing. But if you are really struggling like on a deep internal fundamental level and you want to understand why and how to get around that. I got an energetic scientific, neuro logical perspective. Then you can watch my other videos. But this is just going to be a practical step by step guide, okay? To do with this month in particular because I want you to fucking focus and I want you to smash it. So step one, we need to get honest about what needs to change and how we're going to do that is by taking a little look at November. Okay? So automatically you might be like I don't want to talk about November. November is dead and gone. You just said to let it go. No, we don't Want to be running. We don't want to be in denial. We want to actually become aware of our patterns. Because once we become aware of our patterns, we can break them. If we're unaware, we're going to continue them, and we're going to wonder why we keep getting the same results. So write this down. Don't even continue watching this video if you're not going to write it down. Don't watch. Do. You've probably watched a thousand YouTube videos and not done anything. If that's you, you're never going to get anywhere. So write it down. What went well? We're going to start on a positive note, Okay? It's not all doom and gloom all the time. You're not, you know, I don't want you thinking you need to be fixed or there's something wrong with you. So let's. Let's write down what went well. You can split this out, by the way. So for me, I did life and business because I like to split out the two. Otherwise it'll just get messy. So write down what went well. This can be anything. This is going to give you some clarity on stuff that you might be taking for granted that you did, some progress that you didn't even know you made. Like, I checked my stats in my business and stuff, and I was like, oh, yeah, that went really well, actually. That went better than I thought. So write down what went well. Was there certain habits you brought in? Was there certain things you took up? Certain hobbies? Did you spend more time with friends? Did you do a thing that you were putting off? Could be anything. But write it down. Number two on this section on getting honest, we're gonna ask, What could have gone better? That's a nice way of saying, where did you f. Ck up? No, I'm just joking. Just write down what could have gone better, okay? This could be anything. Again, you can separate this out in life and business or life and career, if that makes it easier for you. But you want to write down what could have gone better. So it could be something like, your sleep schedule was off. You didn't see friends as much as you wanted to. You didn't network as much as you should have. You did it. Look after your diet, you didn't do the thing that scared you. Do that thing that you were putting off. Do the goal that you set in November like it's still here and hanging over you, Right? Whatever it is, write it down and be honest with yourself. You don't have to nitpick it. Just write it down on the piece of paper. Write it down. Then. This is the key question. So this is going to give you insight into the pattern that's driving you not hitting your goals, that's driving the behavior that you feel. Feel like was not supportive of you. Okay, where did I go wrong? And this one I'm not talking about. Oh, well, I, you know, I just. My sleep cycle was off and I went wrong because I woke up late. Like, why did you wake up late? Dig deep, dig deep. Really get to the core of like, okay, my sleep cycle was messed up. I woke up late. Why I went to bed late. Why? I was watching reality tv. Why? I was bored, lonely. Why? Because I wasn't making time to see friends. I wasn't doing things that give me energy. I wasn't doing things during the day to make me feel fulfilled and happy. You know, I wasn't tired because I wasn't actually doing anything. I was being lazy. So then my mind was racing, so then I was awake. Dig deep and really ask why? Because there is no use beating yourself up for the same old behaviors and never getting to the actual core of why those behaviors are even there in the first place. You're wasting your time and you will never overcome the behaviors if you never get to the actual reason that's driving the behaviors. So this is how you get around it. This is how you actually change it. You dig deep and you ask, where did I actually go wrong and how did this begin? Because then you know to change that, you know that that's the part you need to change. It's not just the behavior. It's the reason why the behavior is happening in the first place. If you want to talk about motivation, you get motivated to change when you actually understand the difficulty and why it's there. Understanding changes behavior more than anything else. The awareness and understanding on why you're behaving a certain way and the awareness and understanding of the impacts of those behavior, which we're going to get into in a minute and is what will change the behavior. Nothing else will. So write these down. What went well? What could have gone better? Where did I go wrong? Do you keep asking why? Why? Why did this keep happening? Why did the bad outcome keep coming about? Why was I behaving that way? We kind of trick ourselves into thinking that the way we've been is okay and acceptable. And essentially everything we do is from pain and pleasures. So we either do things to avoid pain or to get pleasure. And so for you right now, if you're not happy in your life, the way that you've been acting, even though you know it's making you unhappy, it's making you feel stuck, limited, poor, unlovable, whatever, that way of living, you're still perceiving that as less painful than changing. And what this exercise is going to do is show you that this way of living is way more painful actually than changing. Because you're probably telling yourself little lies like, oh, it's not too bad. It's not so bad. Like, well, I have to act this way because it makes it easier for this, and it would be too hard to do this, and it's not really worth it because you haven't actually thought out how good it would be to change and how actually terrible it would be to stay the same for the rest of your life. So that's why we're doing this exercise. Not to make it too serious or anything, but that's essentially what's going on here. So. So it may seem surface level, but if you actually do this and apply it, it's very deep, and it will change your paradigm basically without you even realizing it. So now we're going to dive into the second part of this, which is setting the intention for the month ahead. Now that you've got some clarity on what you've been doing, what you've been doing well and not so well, we can look at the month ahead with more perspective and with more awareness. So we're going to first ask, What will you keep? There might be some things that you realize that you're doing that are actually quite positive, and you didn't even give yourself credit for them. But now that you have, you have given yourself that positive reinforcement, you're more likely to continue that behavior. So what will you keep doing? What was some good stuff that you did? What will you keep doing? Write that down. What will you change? So this is following on very much from the last section. What needs to change this month? What really needs to change? Write it down. So the sleep cycle thing, what needs to change is I need to get to bed on time. In order to do that, I need to make sure I'm stimulated throughout the day so that I can feel relaxed in the evenings, so that I'm not binge watching TV just to feel something. That's a very basic example, but that's an example. You don't want to just say, my sleep cycle needs to change. You want to go back to the reasons why and change those, and then the sleep cycle will automatically change off the back of that. So write down what needs to change and don't make it surface level. Now we're gonna do. Three goals. Three goals for December. You may be thinking of about 25 goals, but that can be a little bit overwhelming. So narrow it down to your main non negotiable three goals. If it's something you feel like that is going to be impossible and I can't even see myself doing it, maybe that's not the goal for you. I'm just saying if it's something that stretches you a little bit, but you're like, okay, if I pushed, I could do that. That is the goal for you. Three goals that you know are going to make you feel your best by the end of the year, get very clear. You have 30 days. You can do it. This can be anything from being consistent with your sleep cycle from now until the end of the year. Being consistent with eating clean from now until the end of the year. Consistently meditating, reading, journaling, whatever, doing the things that scare you, talking to strangers, making friends, pushing yourself in your business, getting more sales even though it's December. Whatever it is, write it down. Try to be as specific as possible. The more specific you are, the better. You want to set clear targets and then you want to really dig behind that. And you want to know, You want to dig deep behind those goals. This is kind of part four. Once you've written them down, I want you to get very clear on what would achieving these goals mean to you. So really imagine 30 days from now. You've done everything that you said you would. This could be anything from something small, like eating a little bit cleaner, other than maybe Christmas Day and Boxing Day or whatever. Okay? Because you want to engage in traditions, whatever feels right to you. This could be journaling every day. This could be starting to read more, starting to educate yourself more, starting to push yourself more in business, sleeping better, anything going outside more. Just set them clearly and get very clear on what they would mean to you and how it would feel if you actually stuck to these three goals for the next 30 days on New Year's Eve. How would it feel for you to know that you did this? It's done. Imagine that feeling right now in your body. How would it feel to know that you smashed these goals. You're about to welcome in the new year and you're already on your way. What would they mean to you? This is going to be something deep. This is not going to be surface level. So it's going to mean I can trust myself. It's going to mean I feel capable. It's going to mean I have a stronger self concept. And now everything is just kind of coming to me more naturally. Because that's what happens when you stick to your word and you go after your goals. Right? That is the main thing and that is the main beauty of setting a goal and achieving it. It strengthens your concept. So get really clear on how it would actually feel and what it would mean for you to get these goals. And if you're not feeling anything, change your goals until you feel something. Okay, this is the last part, so stay with me. The last part is, how would you feel if you didn't do anything or change anything and everything stayed exactly the same? How would you feel if nothing changed? If you had the exact same month as last month? If you set these goals today and you don't even take a step towards any of them and you get to the end of the year and nothing has changed and you haven't implemented anything, you haven't proven anything to yourself. You haven't proven that you're committed to change. You haven't proven that you're committed to this new version of you or this new life. How would you then feel on December 31 as the new Year's rolling in? How would that feel? You realize, you look back at this, you look back at the goals you set and you realize you didn't even really try. How would it feel? Get very clear. Your situation stayed the same. You didn't do anything to change it. How would it feel? And when I say your situation stayed the same, I don't mean physically. I mean you internally didn't take any of the steps. Because sometimes we can take the steps and take the steps and it takes time for reality to catch up, but we feel the shift internally, so we know we're good. Right? So that's a different state of being. You're in there. You're in a whole new state of being when you feel like that because your subconcept is, and everything is different. But if you did nothing, if you implemented nothing from today, if you didn't even try, how would that feel? If you stayed in the same state of being, how would that feel? Stay betraying yourself, Right? Because these are things that you know you want to do. You've just written them down. How would you feel? Write it down, Write it down. I look so little. So what are we gonna do now? Now that you've written all this down? Every person, most people, they struggle with, they take on all the Information. They've got information coming out their ass, but they don't have implementation. Nobody executes and then nobody moves from where they are in their state of consciousness, in the state of being, in the state of affairs in their life, because they do not implement. Do not be one of those people. 2025 is the year that you're getting shit done and you're moving the needle and you're living the most aligned, successful, abundant loved version of you. And you do that by actually taking action, by executing. Okay, is it going to be challenging? Yes. But at this point, what do you think is more challenging based off everything we've just gone through? What do you think is more challenging? Staying here in pain, in the self? Betrayal, suffering, or the pain of just changing? Yeah, it's going to be uncomfortable, but growth is uncomfortable in an expansive way. Pushing yourself outside your comfort zone to overcome your old patterns is uncomfortable, but in an expansive way. Your experience of life opens up. You're able to tap into higher frequency emotions and experiences, but the pain of staying where you are and never ever pushing yourself is difficult and uncomfortable in a claustrophobic, compressive, way. The walls will start closing in on you. You'll only ever be able to tap into a very limited range of emotions. It will be all lower level emotions. You won't be able to see opportunities, you won't be able to experience things on the same level. They're both hard, but which one do you think is better? Suffocation or expansion? They're both uncomfortable. You have to choose one. What you're not changing, you're choosing. So if you're deciding to keep going down this path, you're choosing this path, even if it's just default, which it is at this point. You're on this default mode, but that's what you're choosing because you're not changing it. Your only other option is to change it and face the uncomfortable situation of actually having to grow and change. But that comes with the pleasure of knowing you can trust yourself, of tapping into higher feeling states, of tapping into more opportunities, more abundance, everything else. Those are your only two options. You must choose one. I'm assuming at this point, hopefully most of you are probably choosing to grow. You're choosing to do the work, even though it's hard, even though it's a struggle. It's a struggle, but in an expansive way, because you're growing. So at this point, the only thing left to do is, Is decide. You decide today that you're leaving the past in the past. That you're moving forward as this new version of you that you are the version of you that can achieve these goals no matter what. And then when things come up that are going to test you, because they will, you, you decide again, you commit again, you decide every day, in every moment of weakness, that you're not going to succumb to your old reality, that you are going to be this new version of you. And eventually being this version of you becomes easy. But until then, you must decide and you must keep deciding to stick to your word. It is a conscious exercise of will. It's not an overnight thing, but it starts with you making a very firm and very strong decision that today, the start of your new year and the start of your new life, this could be the turning point for the rest of your life if you just let it. The work does work. Whatever. I say that in videos, right? People ask me sometimes, what is the work? This is the work. You deciding that you are this version of you. You putting yourself miles out of your comfort zone. You doing the things that you would shy away from, normally not reacting and not succumbing to that reactive voice that wants to keep you stuck, complaining, gossiping, victimizing yourself, right? Feeling like a victim, making excuses. That's the work. Overcoming all of that bullshit and doing the stuff that you know you have to do, breaking your patterns that are keeping you stuck, facing your limiting beliefs and overcoming them. That is the work. And you must decide to do it today and decide to do it every day when you don't feel like doing it, because you're not going to feel like doing it. But eventually you will get something magical called momentum. And this is what I want you rolling into the new year with you. If you do everything I said here today, you are going to have something that 99% of people going into the new year will not have. You're going to have momentum in the direction that you want to go in. And so as you roll into the first of the year, you're going to be like, get out of the way. I'm already on the way. I'm already moving. It's the getting moving that's difficult, is the getting movement that requires you to exercise your conscious will and keep deciding to recommit to this version of you when your old self is going to keep trying to pull you back in and keep you stuck. So you decide here today that this, these intentions that you said, you're going to stay committed to them. And then on top of that, you are also deciding to become a person of your words. You become a person who, when you say you're going to do something that is non negotiable, you know that if it's possible for someone else to do it, you can do it too. So long as you stay committed. That's how you get this strength of character and strength in yourself where you feel like you can take on anything. And that's how I want you to feel next year. And this is how you, you build up that muscle by committing to be this person who has this kind of character where you don't go back on your word. You show up for yourself and other people and what you say you will do is non negotiable. And this is one of them. And that's how you start exercising it. You just keep showing up, keep deciding, keep recommitting, especially when it's difficult to do so. Nobody is going to do this work for you, but the work does work when you do it. And if you decide to commit to showing up for yourself this month, for the next 30 days, consistently, you will thank yourself for the rest of your life. I hope this video helped. I'm wishing you all a magical December. You have everything you need inside you to live a life of abundance, fulfillment and success. You just have to detach from all the bullshit, all the programming and all the noise and go within.
