A short YouTube monologue by Elay Amitay Halevi describing how unconscious envy (called "passive evil eye") can masquerade as friendship. The speaker lists behavioral signs—hurried intimacy, persistent drama, jabs that create tension—and advises trusting bodily signals (feeling tense, drained, or anxious) as your soul warning that someone close may be jealous; prolonged exposure can wear you down.

How do you know if someone is befriending you? Not because they care about you and love you, but because they're jealous of you. They want what you have. And that unconscious envy is what the sages call passive evil eye. Most healthy friendships take time to build. Someone who is carrying the unconscious envy or jealousy is always in a hurry to be so close to you to make it feel like you are their best friend. When someone is carrying jealousy, they will bring drama to every part of their life, including yours. Comments that get under your skin, things going the wrong way. Your nervous system doesn't feel aligned. That's their energy creating space between you and your blessings. Your soul is always trying to communicate something to you. If you feel tense, if you feel drained, or if you feel anxious around them, around the person who's meant to support you, around this person who says that they trust you, watch that. This could be your soul warning. You can have certainty that evil eye does not hurt you or harm you. And that does work as well. But keep in mind that the more someone is around you who is jealous of you, they will wear you down.
