A spoken coaching monologue (YouTube) arguing that people often send mixed signals because conscious desires (e.g., wanting a soulmate) are combined with unconscious desires (e.g., wanting independence or fear of long-term commitment). The speaker uses a "pie chart" metaphor to explain how conflicting internal signals can attract partners who are partially available—commonly experienced as emotionally unavailable partners—framing such outcomes as feedback rather than failure.

You say, I am ready to receive a soulmate. I desire. This. This is a prayer I'm putting out there. What you might experience is that no men will talk to you for three months. So actually, like, people will cancel on you. Men won't talk to you. People who are into you will leave. Now, what's happening is before, on a subconscious level, the signal you were sending out is, I want my soulmate, but I also want some validation. But I also want to have a good time. Because your desire is like a pie chart, and we have conscious and unconscious desires. The conscious ones are the ones you tell everybody, I'm ready for a relationship. I'm ready to be in love. I'm ready to find my partner. I'm ready to have a baby. The unconsc ones are, I want to be myself. I'm deathly scared to be the same man or woman for 50 years. I don't want to share a bathroom. I want to be my own woman. I want to be an individual. I don't want to get hurt anymore. So what's happening is you have 50% sending the signal to draw in a soulmate. 50% is sending the signal to sabotage that. And so what you get is something in between, which is a man who's half in and half out. A man who's emotionally unavailable is because the available part of him is appealing to your desire for a relationship. The unavailable part of him is appealing to your need for freedom and independence and not wanting to be locked down. So that is why you have manifested this man. We can blame him and ask him to change, but he's like, what do you want from me? Like, I'm just following your signal. It's just that most people aren't aware of the unconscious signals.
