A short motivational/spiritual monologue addressing people considered the "black sheep" in their families. It reframes nonconformity as a potential soul-gift: those who deviate may be sent to break generational cycles, confront buried pain, and heal family trauma; the piece closes with a healing/empowering mantra.

If you are considered to be the black sheep of the family, the one who was always misunderstood, the one who didn't follow the rules, didn't fit the mold, didn't accept. This is just how it is. The sages say you might be a high soul, one cut from the cloth of the family tree that is meant to elevate the family. The black sheep is often the one sent to break the cycle, to confront the pain that no one else wants to face, to feel the emotions others want to numb, to question what others often follow blindly because it's familiar to them, to heal trauma that's been passed down for generations. Visionaries in business are usually ridiculed before they are celebrated. The child who doesn't conform is no different. So if you have a child like this, or a sibling like this, remember, they see a future the family hasn't been able to imagine yet. They weren't sent to follow the pattern. They were sent to break it. If you've ever misunderstood them or wish they would just be a little easier, a little quieter, a little more like everybody else, it's also okay. You were only doing your best then, but now you can see them differently. Here's a mantra for you. The uniqueness of my soul is actually my light for the world. I don't hold grudges, nor do I judge those who can't see me. I use my power to heal and love and become the light my family didn't know that it was waiting for.
