Your ego protects your current identity, which locks you into your present circumstances. To change your life, you have to shed parts of your old self and adopt new qualities that match the level you want to reach. You can't access higher experiences until your character actually upgrades.
People start to struggle with the ego self when they decide that they want their lives to change. That's when the struggle begins, because whatever level you're playing at in this game, whatever experience you're having in physical reality, in your relationships, in your finances, in your career, that's a byproduct of the energy that you're embodied in and the identity that you are embodied in. And so that identity is ruled and governed by your ego. And at the moment that you say, I want to change something in physical reality and I want to go to, let's say, from level 1 to level 2 You can't get into level 2 of the video game until you up-level your character, i.e., you are going to have to sacrifice the old self or parts of the old self and bring in new aspects that energetically resonate with the next level, and then you will gain access to that experience in physical reality, but not a moment before.
