In this guided imagery meditation, Dr. Emmett Miller leads listeners into a present‑moment focus, emphasizing that the past no longer exists except as memory. He instructs the audience to imagine placing the past on a high shelf in a mental library, then closing the door with a personal key. The meditation proceeds with breath‑focused relaxation, encouraging each exhale to release distractions like soap bubbles drifting upward. Listeners are guided to visualize floating through clouds on a magic carpet, and then to travel to a personally meaningful place of deep relaxation, culminating in a detailed beach scene that many find soothing. The session ends with a brief promotional message directing listeners to shopdrmiller.com for the full guided‑imagery program.

ever deeper into the now. Here, understanding now that only this moment exists. The past does not exist. It is gone forever. All that's left are traces of memory, like words and pictures on the pages of a book, a book that you don't need to read at this moment. So you can close the book of the past for now and imagine you are placing it on a high shelf in a library in the back of your mind, so you know where it is if you ever want to think about it. And you can always go back and retrieve those thoughts and images, but only at the time and in the place that you choose. Close the door and locking it with a key that only you possess. And with that key safely stored away, come back down the long hallway that leads to the present. And as you come down the hall, thinking to yourself, with each breath out, letting go, coming back to here and now, in this comfortable place where your abdomen gently rises and falls with each breath, sinking into that pause, letting each breath out empty your mind of distractions and blow them away like a child blowing away soap bubbles that float gently upward toward the sky, reflecting the sky and the clouds. And imagine yourself floating through those clouds floating as if on a magic carpet through time and space. And perhaps you know of a place that you associate with relaxation and peace, or can imagine a place where you might find the deepest relaxation you can imagine, someplace you have been in the past or like to go. You can give yourself permission in your imagination to begin to go to that place right now. I will describe a journey to the beach, almost everyone's favorite.
