is that that which has been lost can never be replaced, and our lives are completely devoid of meaning, just like that baby goose or the, or the baby fawn. And although we may feel as helpless as that goose or that fawn, it's not true. It's just in our minds that we've lost something that's so important, because let's face it, 9 out of 10 times a person who has depression comes out of that depression, their lives have meaning again. They want to live and they look back and they say, "Oh yeah, I had a period of depression in 1993 or 2001 or something like that." This is the unique thing about the human mind, is we can become convinced that life is not worth going on with, not worth living. In fact, some people who have depression actually die because of it. And it's all because of a belief. It doesn't really mean that life is not worth living. It's just that we don't know how to reconnect with that which gave us so much spirit, which gave us a reason to be here. And so the deep healing from depression means letting go of what needs to be let go of, coming to one's center and tuning in to what really counts for us, to find meaning in what we have in our lives. More about how to do this later.
