In this short video, I just want to show you how to get started quickly and for free with my new training app, Bitfitter. So the first thing to do is open a browser on any device that you want to use. I'm using a desktop here, but you could use a mobile phone or a tablet, and head on over to the website bitfitter.app. Once you're there, you'll see that there's an obvious button here for you to create an account. An account's completely free if you want to get started and do some workouts. I've already got an account, so I'm going to click the menu item and then log in. From the login screen, use the email address that you used when you registered. Like so, and that will get you to the Bitfitter navigator screen. So on the navigator screen, it'll show you any program that you're following. We'll talk about that another day. But down here you've got 3 buttons, so you can find all workouts that are quick to do, workouts that hardly use any equipment, or workouts that are more cardio HIIT style as opposed to being strength or running type workouts. Alternatively, you can click on the little stopwatch icon thing here and go into workouts. That will give you a list of all of the workouts that you can choose to do on Bitfitter. If you're not sure which one you're looking for, if you click on the 3 dots, that'll give you a little preview option, and that will take you into a screen like this. You It'll tell you approximately how long the workout should take you to do, whether you need a full gym of equipment, or whether it's equipment-free, or whether it perhaps uses minimal equipment. This workout, the upper body conditioning workout, uses dumbbells, so it's minimal, and it's suitable for an intermediate kind of person who's into exercise. You get a list of all of the individual exercises, how many sets and reps, You would be doing and a quick photo example of it. If you're not sure what something is, for instance, I don't know, maybe you're not sure what a cuban rotation might be, if you just click on that in the preview, it'll take you straight over to my YouTube channel and you get to see me doing the exercise or something that's a very close proximity to it. So that's available for all of the exercises. Or you can just browse them in my YouTube channel if you want to put together your own workout. Once you've got the general idea and you're happy, you know what a Cuban rotation is, you can just close that tab and go back to the workout. If you like the look of it and you want to have a go, just click on Do Workout and that will load it for you. So we're doing the upper body conditioning. First exercise is a dumbbell shoulder press. We're going to do 12 reps. We're on the first of 3 sets. If you're not sure all of a sudden what a dumbbell shoulder press is, you can click the video link again. That'll take you to my YouTube channel and you can watch me do the exercise. Or alternatively, you can get on and do it yourself. Quick tip, I like to have my Spotify on so I can listen to that while I'm doing my workout, but that's up to you, obviously. Once you've done your first set, click next exercise, have a rest, do the next set, and so on. Once you've reached the end of it, you'll get this screen which asks you to rate how hard you thought that was, default being moderate. Let's say you thought that was okay, click on that, and you'll get a summary of your workout. The calories will only be calculated if you've entered your body weight in your profile. We'll cover that in another video. And that, really quickly, is the fast, easy, and free way to get up and running and do a workout in BitFitter. Have fun! Thanks, Ed.
