Hi, in this short video I'd just like to tell you a little bit about an event I organized in March that became known as the Corona Mountain Goat Challenge. So I wanted to put together an online competition, but one that every level of runner could take part in. Perhaps a little prize money to make it a bit more competitive, but completely free to take part in. The idea I ended up with was to see how many meters of ascent people could manage in 14 days, the winner being the person that could manage the most meters. Basically hill reps and lots of them. The idea certainly seemed to catch people's imagination. In just one day, 113 runners decided to get involved. There were just some truly inspiring runs, from hill reps indoors on a stationary bike Staircase to an epic 10 miles repping on a single 100-meter hill. But eventually one lady emerged as the ultimate winner. Running consistently every day, she achieved 3,900 meters of ascent. She really earned the title. After the competition, she requested that her winnings were used for a donation to a food bank. To me, this summed up the spirit that everyone created in the 14 days they competed.
