ChatGPT now lets you share conversation threads with others, who can view, edit, and add follow-up questions in the same thread. Enrico Schaefer tested the early-access feature and says it shifts AI from solo work to team collaboration, though it was still buggy when he tried it.

So yesterday I got early access to a ChatGPT feature which I did not expect, and I think it's going to be really interesting. And it's a share feature within ChatGPT which allows you to share the thread that you're working on with other people who have, of course, a subscription to ChatGPT. So this share feature allows you to say, hey, I'm going to develop a prompt, going to develop a question. I now want to share that prompt and that question with someone else. And potentially, although it didn't work yesterday, I think it's just a little buggy still, but eventually we can have a threaded discussion within the context of that ChatGPT thread. We can both or all, potentially 10 people, 20 people, be asking questions of ChatGPT and all have access to what everyone's asking and what ChatGPT is providing for output. This is a really interesting, game-changing approach because a lot of the applications out there that are being built on ChatGPT do all kinds of things which provide individual assistance but not a lot of knowledge sharing. You could copy and paste something and send it around. This is direct access to collaborative GPT. Collaborative GPT is something that I don't think anyone has been talking about. So a couple of thoughts. One is that ChatGPT certainly knows better than anyone where the best functionality is going to be. Where the best value is going to be with its, with its products and services. So the fact that it rolled this out next, I think, is an indicator of what it believes to be really one of the most amazing features of ChatGPT, which is personal assistance plus, plus collaborative workflow. I'm going to be doing a video about this feature and showing you how to use it. Showing you how it works in the coming days. So stay tuned. It's going to be, I think, one of the best features of ChatGPT that we've seen yet.
