Hey. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Thrivetime. I'm Eric Ed Meads and I'm your host. And as always, I'm incredibly excited about this episode. In fact, in this case, I'm incredibly excited because this is a topic right after my own heart in many ways. We're going to be talking a lot about entrepreneurship, and I'm going to introduce you to our guest who's going to share with you some really valuable ideas about how business should behave during tough times and how much incredible opportunity there is in tough times. I'm also going to share with you how she managed to make millions of dollars on a business idea that I had and never shared with her. Her name is Natalie Ledwell and I'm super, super, super excited to be having her on the show. Oh, that's a glitch there. Hey, guys, we're all live here. You gotta go with live normally. Our show intro plays out there completely, Natalie, but it seems to have skipped in this case. But, but Natalie, I'm so, so excited to have you here with me today. I'm a big fan anyway, and I thought, you know, you really have been so inspiring. You're quite stoic. You know, it's like when stuff happens, you just kind of handle it. And so I really wanted to bring you onto the show and have a conversation with you about that. And so let's do this. Let's start off with how did you take the news when you started to recognize how serious this was? What was your. What was going on?
Okay, we have to be in isolation. We have to, you know, kind of hunker down. You go, all right. But then, you know, then it starts to roll on and you're like, oh, people are losing their jobs. People are not going to be working. People are going to be at home like every. Everything's changed. And so, you know, you. Then you're going to go through the. Okay, well, what does this mean and what does it actually mean for the company and our business? Now, we are very fortunate because we are kind of set up for something like this. Our business is online. We are selling programs and products that really help people with their mindset and helping them to get to a place where they can be not buying into the fear and not buying into all the craziness and keeping their immune systems high and basically keeping their brain health high. So to say that we're kind of set up for something like this is a bit of an understatement. But still, there's still an effect of the business as well, because, you know, it's like, okay, yeah, we have all these programs that I know in my heart of hearts is going to help people through this, but that doesn't mean that there are. People will have the money for it. And so, you know, you have to, like, in the first week, I must admit, I had a little bit of a. Like a spiral and I'm sorry, Fortunate and so grateful that my business partner is my. Is my ex husband, slash really good friend, and I can sit down with him and go, okay, I'm having a bit of an issue here. And he goes, look, it's okay. He said, here's the thing. He said, this is not the first time we've been through something like this. And actually our business was born in a time like this. You know, we had the most successful launch of our lives back In September of 2008, when everyone was, you know, losing jobs and the, you know, economy was crashing, which is very similar to what's happening now. He goes, look, it's all right. We've got this. And he goes, and it's not the worst thing that's happened to our company. You know, we've had things where our main source of income has been, you know, Google Ads, or it's been Facebook, or it's been something like that. And then they change an algorithm or the rules change, and then that whole income stream just dries up. You're like, shit. Now we have to, you know, look again. So I think we're. We're primed for this because being online, it's kind of the nature of the beast. I mean, things are changing all the time. What worked six months ago is not working now. You know, so we're always having to pivot and change and look at how we can go with the flow and, you know, and one of the best things that Glenn said, and which I think is so true, he goes. He goes, honey, you don't have to worry about this. He goes, the money never goes away. The money just moves because we just have to find a bit of money, you know?
Yeah, that's a. That's a very interesting observation. I had a similar thing in 2008 where I was saying this on a previous episode where I was sitting in a resort with some friends and the world was falling apart. I had just sold my company. I weirdly taken most of my money out of the stock market before the crash. You know, I was in good shape and I was there with my friends, and we're all kind of enjoying ourselves and realizing that a lot of the world was under a lot of stress. And I said to my friend, wow, you know, it makes me think about the Great Depression. Like all the photographs we've ever seen from the Great Depression are people lined up for toilet paper. Well, no, they were lined up for bread. It was a different situation. But, you know, people lined up for food and. But what we don't see from that time is that there were people sitting around the pool drinking little drinks with umbrellas. You know, there were people that were in good shape, and it would be very easy to make the judgment that they were already rich or, you know, we could judge that, but we could also say that there were people who saw opportunities. Somebody listening to you, for example, right now, I know this. I know because I've seen the kind of comments that we get on shows like this, and somebody's going to go, well, yeah, it's fine for her. Her business was already set up for all this. Right? But then that means they missed the most important thing that I think you said, and that was you launched the business that allowed you to be set up for this in the heart of the previously worst ever economic fall apart for decades. So talk to me a little bit about that, because I think that it's. I think that I'm. I think that there are people out there that have ideas, there's stuff they want to do, but the question is they're going to be held back from that out of fear. They're not going to want to spend money, they're not going to want to invest. Like, they're going to want to pull in. Like, look at Facebook traffic costs today compared to two months ago. It's cheap. It's chips, comparatively, because so many people have pulled their marketing budgets out, Right? So what you and Glenn, like, what. What was going on where you're like, hey, the world's falling apart. Let's build something. How did that happen? Because I think, Natalie, there are people right now that are going to start business, businesses that are going to be the next unicorns, and they're going to be born in this problem. So inspire us. Well, how did you guys know to do that? How did you get through the fear?
Well, and this is a really interesting point. We had absolutely no fear in 2008 because we had no idea what was going on. We had came over to the U.S. we attended a seminar in April of 2008. Frank Kern was the guy that was doing the seminar because we know, we bought one of his programs. We got accepted into his mastermind group. Then we just were like, for six months just focusing on doing this launch. Now, we had no money, so we, in Australia, we called that. There's a saying. We were here on the smell of an oily rag. We had credit cards, so at least we had that. And by the time we got to the launch, we'd actually accumulated $120,000 on credit cards. Now, I'm not recommending if any might have anyone put themselves in a hole that deep, but that's what it took. And we had, you know, we basically had risked everything but being completely unaware because we weren't watching news, we weren't doing anything. We were just. We had to learn everything ourselves. We had to do everything ourselves because we didn't have money to pay anyone. And so we were in this really sharp learning curve to get. Get this thing happening. Now, we'd already always planned to do it September 2008, but we just didn't realize what was going on economically. And we actually didn't even realize until we got to the morning of the launch. And we were speaking to Glenn's dad back in Australia, and he's like, have you guys seen what's happening to the dollar? And we're like, no, what? And he goes, you should really check this out. And then, of course, then we had a little freak out because we're like, what does this mean? Like, what does this mean? If this is not successful, we are toast. But, you know, we had done the work, we had been focused, and, you know, we followed a formula, you know, and for those people who may be thinking about, look, I had this idea. I've kind of been toying with it. Is it something I should lean into? I mean, right now is the best time to do this. I know. For that launch, we ended up doing a $700,000 launch, selling a program that cost $97. And we followed Jeff Walker's product launch formula. Now, at the moment, Jeff Walker is doing five days free training. So you can go online and find some free training. I know that Lisa Sassevich has just released a book called I'm Meant for More, which is like the whole blueprint on how if you've got this idea, how you get it from an idea and lean into it and make it into a business. So there's a lot of low cost, A lot of, you know, teachers like us are doing a lot of free trainings, we're doing a lot of free content, we're doing a lot of things where we are in a place of service, because we know that once the craziness has calmed down and people kind of back into jobs and backing, because there will be an end to this. There will be an end to this. So by then, we've already built the rapport. We've already got to a position where we've said, okay, we have the expertise so that when people are looking to purchase and to go to the next step, we've already got that relationship.
Wow. So partly what you're saying is ignorance is bliss. I mean, let's be honest, it was very helpful to not know what was going on.
You have no idea how ignorance was bliss during that whole.
But here's the thing, though. I actually think that right now that's actually something people should really think about, is that, okay, so you had ignorance because you just weren't in that moment paying attention. You were so focused and what have you. But the problem we have today is that ignorance is really hard to have because frankly, social media, we are so not ignorant that we're completely ignorant. But we're ignorant now in the wrong direction. Now we're debating whether 5G is causing coronavirus and, you know, conspiracy theories from reptilian shape shifters and stuff. I mean, it's a frightening time. And so now what's going on is people are spreading more and more fear. And I think that there's something to be learned from what you just said. If we can start off, if we can start off not focusing on how scary everything is, in other words, we can create some self induced ignorance. Go, look, hey, I'm okay this week. Let's not focus on how it's going. That probably helps a great deal because then you're not adrenalized and you can still stay in the world of opportunity and optimism. So I think that's a valuable lesson.
Well, I think the thing is that we have to remember is that, yeah, I mean, I've been seeing, I've stopped. I spend very minimal time on social media now. I mean, I'm doing a lot of live broadcasts, so that's why I'm on there. But I spend minimal time there. You do not watch the news of any kind. And because here's the thing, all these conspiracy theories, all these, you know, you know, there's the Illuminati or whatever that is, that stuff's been going on forever. It was going on before COVID and it's probably going on just as much now. But what we have control over is, despite what's happening, that we have Control over our thoughts, we have control over our emotions and our heart and our immediate environment. We get to create what our experience is going to be. And it doesn't matter who's the president, it doesn't matter what political parties in power, it doesn't even matter what's happening in our own city. We still get to make our own experience. So, you know, this is why we're wasting. Not only we wasting time kind of going down that rabbit hole and all that negativity, but what happens is fear begets fear. So, you know, and this is, you could see that with this whole panic with everyone buying trouble toilet paper at the beginning of this situation, which I still don't understand why that was going on. And people were just getting caught up in the panic and the fear. But what happens, that raises our cortisol levels in our body and cortisol is our stress hormone. Now what cortisol also does is suppress our immune system. So it's the last place that we want to be, in the last place that we want to live. Because. And the thing is, even if you are aware of all of this crazy conspiracy stuff, then what can you do about it anyway?
Except Natalie, that's absolutely one of my messages about this. It's insane. Let's imagine for a minute that 5G caused all this. It didn't. But let's imagine that 5G caused all this. Right. Well, here's what we still know though is the vast majority of people that have been getting sick, the vast majority of them been seriously hospitalized and ending up passing away, have had previous pre existing illnesses related to a disastrous food industry. So in other words, if we had 5, 10, 15, 30 years ago, completely changed food regulations, if we had got to the place where we did not have this incredible epidemic of obesity and diabetes and hypertension and all these things that are turning out to be, then it wouldn't matter whether 5G caused it or shape shifting aliens or, or bats or just some old virus. But there's no real point in focusing on that other stuff that most of which is fiction and secondly, we have no real control over. I think I'm with you 100% on that.
Yeah. And it's irrelevant. Yeah, it's irrelevant how it started. You know, what's most important is this is the situation that we find ourselves in. So how are we, are we going to be, you know, resonating low frequency and victimhood consciousness or are we going to get up into creation consciousness or channel consciousness or oneness consciousness? Are we going to choose to make this a divine time in our lives and that one piece of history and time in our life, that was what we needed to wake us up or to motivate us to have the time and the space, because we don't have the distractions, we don't have all the travel, we don't have all the craziness that we normally have.
We.
We actually have space where we can sit in contemplation and go, well, was I happy with not seeing my family so much? Was I really happy with the hours I was working? You know, do I, you know, now that we've got to experience, forcibly had to experience something different, you know, when you get to see what that is and we get to see how quickly the Earth is healing itself, you're going, hmm, well, maybe there is another way.
Yeah, there really is. I. I've been fascinated by all that stuff. I mean, now you've got people in India that can see the Himalayas for the first time in decades. And, you know, I don't know if you caught it, but a couple of weeks ago, about 10 days ago, some whales went by us here on the beach. And I haven't seen whales here in six years. And, I mean, they're there, but I think that they get scared off by boats and noise and that kind of stuff. And. And the water's cleaning up and the air's cleaning up. You know, one of the observations I have about that is that we are a little bit like. Like the frog in the hot water. Environmentally, the damage that we've been doing to the environment has been so incremental that we really haven't noticed it. And we've started noticing it of late because this. Because it's been speeding up. But I think we are about to get the shock of our lives, because what will happen is where the Himalayas disappeared from India over the space of decades, when this all ends, they're going to disappear in a week, and the same thing's going to happen where we have almost no litter watching up on the beaches right now. It's incredible. I mean, I can't believe it. I always thought the litter was just out there all the time. No, the beaches are clean. And you know what's going to happen within a week, litter is going to be back on the beach. And within a week, air quality is going to drop in cities. And what we're going to see is the amount of damage that we did over decades is going to suddenly come back. And I hate to say that, I hate to be so you know, I don't know, call it negative or whatever you want to call it, but I hate to think that that's what's going to happen.
But.
But it strikes me that that's the truth. But the opportunity in it, I think, is that what will happen is that we are going to suddenly have consciousness that we didn't have before. Suddenly we're going to be in a place where it's like, holy crap, I didn't realize we were doing that much damage. And maybe just enough people will wake up just enough to influence their legislators and change their buying patterns and vote with their money, that maybe this whole pandemic can be the one thing that saves the environment.
Yeah, well, you think about it. We've seen such a fast healing of the planet in such a short period of time. Remember, we had all the scientists and everyone telling us, if we don't get our act together in next 10 years, that's it, we're done, there won't be another generation. And you're like, oh, God, it's so doom saying. And so when you start hearing news like that and starting to believe news like that, we go into this indifference and apathy, go, well, there's nothing we can do. Like, it's too big a problem. It's too big a thing in front of us. But now we realize, whoa, this is actually healing a lot faster than we thought. So now we can already see a different. A different way forward or a different possibility than what we've been told by the experts as to, you know, what the outcome is going to be.
You know, my father explained this to me in a really interesting way. He has a book coming out shortly about human evolution and human migration around the planet. And ultimately his story is the. You know, I don't think he would put it this way, but it's the story of the destruction of our ecology starting 2 million years ago. And. But it's funny because in. He's been writing it for a long time, and I often felt like the way he wrote about it toward the end created this sense of hopelessness, like that there is nothing that we can do. And I asked him about that one day. I was like, well, you know, do you really feel hopeless about it? And he had such an interesting answer, Natalie. He said it's not so much that he feels hopeless about it. It's that sometimes it's only once things get hopeless that people are stimulated enough to make the change. And I said, I don't understand. What do you mean? And funny enough, he used alcoholism as an example. As a long standing member of aa, he talked about his process and how he had to get to the place where he finally realized it was hopeless, where he finally realized he was powerless over alcohol, where he finally realized he needed help. And it was only in that hopelessness that he could create a change. And that's kind of partly what I think is going to go on here, is that as the Himalayas disappear, as the air quality goes back to crap, as we push back at nature, we're suddenly a lot of us are going to go, oh my God, it is hopeless if we, if we mess this up. And I think that that's going to give us the opportunity to really turn things around.
Yeah. And we didn't have to do too much to, you know, to, to invoke these positive changes on the planet.
Yeah.
And, you know, maybe there's some changes. I mean, it's really helped me to sit down and go, okay, well, my consumption, you know, for me, it's like, I'm like, well, I've no financially free, so I can make different choices. Travel, which is not great for the environment, but even the way that I'm consuming things at home and, and releasing this whole instant gratification thing, you know, everything that I've purchased since this whole, you know, lockdown's happened has taken at least a week or a week and a half to two weeks to get here. And I'm okay with it, like before because it was what the system was. You're like, right, I need it now. Like, when was it, you know, I'm like, no, I don't need to be like that.
That's so interesting you say that because. So I'm on lockdown in solitary. My family's separated from me in the US So I'm here and I don't normally do the shopping, I don't normally do the cleaning. No, it's not that I expect my wife to do it. We have, we have people that help with that. And I don't normally have to do that. I don't even have to do much cooking, although I enjoy doing that from time to time. And all of a sudden I'm having to be completely self sufficient. 3 weeks ago I told our staff, don't come to the house anymore. I don't want to risk infecting them. I don't want to risk them infecting me. It was the responsible thing to do. And now I'm like here handling it. You know what it's funny is I am no longer a just in time shopper for food. What is going on is I have found a local contact who has connections with all the local farms. And so once a week I put an order in and I get farm fresh delivered eggs and broccoli and all kinds of great stuff. Then there's a woman who does grocery shops on a two weekly basis. She's offering a service locally. You pay her a fee and she know we don't have food delivery here like so many other people do. But you know what, what, what I've realized is now I notice when I'm getting low on something, I start thinking in advance and I start planning for it. And you know what's really crazy? My stuff's arriving here without packaging because it's. So much of it's coming from farms I'm consuming. I'm, I'm producing a whole lot less waste. And I'm just hoping that we can kind of hold on to that a little bit. Natalie, I didn't mean for this to become an environmental rant, but I know you and I are, we're. That's our frequency. We're going to talk about that. Here's what I want to shift to. I alluded in the introduction to this show that you capitalized on one of my business ideas, even though I never shared it with you. It's not. I want to be clear, she didn't take it from me, but I want to tell everybody about it because it's a message that I think is really important to what's going on today. Some people asked me recently how to get through the pandemic, how to get through the lockdown the best possible way. They found their health was shifting, you know, drifting, I should say, right? Sliding. I'm eating a little bit more junk. I'm not working out so much. I'm not working so hard. I wanted to write a book. I'm not getting any of it done. And, you know, in the meantime, I've launched a YouTube show. I'm learning how to play the guitar, I'm out exercising. And they're going, how are you motivating yourself to do that with all this fear? And so one of the things I told them was that, you know, get a clear image of who you want to be at the end. Get a clear image of who you want to be at the end. And then suddenly I thought about you and I thought about how you capitalized so very well on an idea that I had, whatever it was 1995, 96. And for everybody Listening. Here was the idea I had. You tell me if you think it's a great idea. But the idea was that you don't just have a vision board, but you could go to a website and you could. Like, there'd be pictures there. You could upload your own pictures. You could create a music video dream board. I mean, how cool would that be? And I hired this guy in India, and he developed it, and he's a really good guy, and he kind of created it, but he never made it look pretty. And we never kind of got the user interface, and we never launched it. And like so many entrepreneurs with a great idea, I'm good at starting. I didn't finish. Natalie and Glenn started and finished, and they created Mind Movies and have changed lives all over the world. And so it's with that in mind that I want to give everybody a challenge. And we're partnering with Mind Movies, and this is what we're doing. I want you to create yourself a lockdown montage. So let's explain a montage, because I know I have viewers from all over the world, right? Let's explain a montage. A montage is effectively a what the movies use sometimes to tell a story, you know, very quickly. So, for example, Rocky has to fight Drago in Rocky 4, and he needs to do, like, six weeks of training, but we don't have six weeks to watch the movie, right? We just. We don't have six weeks to watch the movie.
And.
And so what happens? We get to watch a montage. We get to watch his six weeks broken down. We get to watch it broken down into the. Now he's working out, he's making progress. Stuff that was hard at the beginning gets easier toward the end. And I think that what I would love for everybody out there to do is to think about who they want to be at the end of all this. Who do they want to be at the end of all this? And then with a clear image. With a clear image. With a clear image of who you want to be, what mountain you want to be standing on, I want you to create your own lockdown montage. So you, you know, you. You find pictures that are inspiring, video clips, music, whatever it is that you want, and you create your montage. Some of you will know how to do that for yourself, but you don't have to, because you can go to Mind Movies to go and create that, and all you gotta do is go to lockdownmontage.com. if you go to lockdownmontage.com you'll find a page there. And it's not just that you, you know, it'll tell you how to do it and how to use it and so on, but there's also a contest. And the way it works is you create your lockdown montage. No matter how you make it, if you make it with mind movies, that's awesome. If you make it yourself, that's cool. It doesn't matter. You, you go online, you create your montage and then post it somewhere. And you post it with the hashtag LockdownMontage. And then we will be looking for those and we will be giving away a series of prizes because we've got a bunch of partners that we're working with. So I can tell you, for example, we've partnered with WildFit. That was a really easy deal for me to negotiate, but there's going to be some awesome full scholarship programs to WildFit. We've got a couple of free places at our 14 day giveaway. There's also a public speaking course that's going to be given away a number of times. We've got some Apple, some Amazon gift cards, and we've got more partners joining us all the time to have more prizes every single week. So all you have to do is go online and upload your video and use the hashtag lockdownmontage. And then we're gonna go out and find those. We'll collect the best of them, we'll put them right on our website and you'll have an opportunity to do that. Now, Natalie, listen, you've been doing this for years. You've been helping people create the very best multimedia dream boards ever. Can you give us. First of all, I have two questions for you. I'll tell you what, they're in order. The first question is, is like, give me some examples of how why this works. Like, you've got some case studies where people have done this and completely changed their lives. And so tell me a little bit about that. And then the second question I'm going to ask you so you can kind of think about it in the back of your head, is do you have any tips for people on how to create the very best inspirational dream board video mind movie that will really drive them forward? So tell me first about some cases where it works and then how to do it.
Great. Okay, so let me just explain. In essence, a mind movie is a visualization tool. Now, the reason why visualization is so important is because if you cannot see yourself already on the other side of this, if you Cannot see yourself already being, living, breathing this reality that you're creating. It's difficult for you, number one, to see where you're going, number two, for you to believe it's going to happen. And number three, for you to be able to track what it is that you need to make it happen. Okay, so what we know is that when we can play, we can do a visualization in our mind. And, you know, and Eric has done a course with Dr. Joe Dispenza, and this is how he teaches him, is that, you know, rather than just seeing yourself as a character in a movie, you actually see yourself in the movie, like in the scene itself. So you. Every part of your senses you're tasting, hearing, smelling, seeing everything that's going on in that scene that you're visualizing. And your mind movie is the prompt to get you there. And then you're feeling what it's like to already be there. Remember, whatever frequency we're emitting out into the universe, whatever is a match to that frequency, is going to attract it back to us. This is why our emotions are actually the frequency that we send out. This is why we need to be feeling what it's like to already be there. So what helps you to have that elevated emotion and that overwhelming sense that it's already done, it's already created? You've got so much belief and expectation that it's going to happen. Well, there's a couple of things. Number one, you've really got clear about what it is that you want, which is one of the awesome parts of creating a My Movie. Because you're articulating what you want in affirmations as if it's already done. You're using the right language. So your brain is already mapped out what this is going to be. Then what you're doing is to add emotion to it. You're adding photos or videos, something really inspiring, like the Rocky clips and things like that are amazing to really be able to help you get into that place of, yeah, this is happening no matter what. But then the music is the secret. So source. Because if you think about it, like, if you go back, there are songs that you know from the 80s or depending how old you are, the 70s, that when you hear that song, you are instantly taken back to a time that had meaning for you. Like the original My Movie that I created back in 2006, I used clocks by Coldplay. Now I can't listen to that song and not bawl my eyes out because that song has become such a strong emotional Anchor for me. And it was the beginning of everything, was the beginning of this entire beautiful life that I get to live. And so you've got, you know, you've got the inspiring soundtrack. You've got the visuals and the videos, and you've got the affirmations. And so when you go to sit down and do your visualization, you are so already there. It doesn't take much for your brain to be then be able to create this scene or this mind. Now, the cool thing is, is that your subconscious mind really doesn't know the difference between what you're seeing and then what you're creating is this very vivid experience on a regular basis or a repetitive basis. So what happens is when we're doing that, we're creating these new neural pathways in our brains, and all of the thoughts that we're thinking travel on neural pathways from the subconscious to the conscious mind. Now when we're trying to overcome all these problems, programs about how we can't do it, we've never done it before. We failed before. It's never going to happen for us. We want to try and supersede those thoughts with thoughts that are in alignment with the future that we're looking to create. So you're watching your mind. Maybe you're doing these visualizations. We're creating these new neural pathways. These new thoughts are in alignment with this visual that we're creating here. And then these new thoughts are automatically influencing your actions so that you are already starting to, you know, it's easier for you to get out of bed and exercise. You know, you go to have that second glass of wine and like, actually don't really feel like it because now, you know, your. Your thoughts are in alignment with this. This future that you. You don't want to do. The things that aren't in alignment with that and the things that are in alignment are becoming effortless. You know, they're not. It's not such an effort to be able to do these things. It's not starting to naturally fall into place. So, you know, when you've got thoughts, actions and emotions, that's the trifecta, you know, you become a big fat magnet for everything you need to make that happen.
You know, Natalie, I'm so inspired by that. And frankly, that's exactly what gave me the idea to create that service in the first place. And, you know, like all great ideas, I didn't even really. It was mostly something I wanted for me, you know, and because I knew that, and that was back in the days of course before YouTube and all that kind of stuff. But I knew that when I watched a movie like Rocky and they had those montages come in, what I wanted to do is go to the gym. There's something about the multimedia, and that's not even images that are particularly designed for me. They're for the movie, but they still worked. When the Karate kid, when he goes through that whole training and you're seeing him wax on, wax off, and they condense all of that success into a side. The nervous system responds, bonds. You start creating the biochemistry of the person who does live that way. And the next thing you know, you become the person who lives that way. And so I love what you guys do. I think your business is fantastic. And so everybody out there, here's. Oh, actually, Natalie, just. Just help me out. Just one more. One more thing about this. Like, talk to me a little bit about practice. So we've talked about what you put in the video. Tell me about, you know, what. What do you recommend for watching? Like, you know, how often should they watch, when should they watch? What do you think is best for writing right into their subconscious to really inspire change.
Yeah, well, definitely before you go to bed, I'm sure that there's no one who can relate to this. On lockdown, binge watching something on Netflix. And then that's all you dream about all night. Happened a couple of times. But yeah. So whatever we put into our minds the last 10 minutes before we go to sleep is what our subconscious mind is mulling over all evening. And you know, when you're watching it at night, I always find, because I have a little practice, I do in the mornings, because I know that as we're falling asleep and as we're waking up, we're naturally in theta brainwave activity. So theta is when we're really connected or coherent with the unified field. And so as I'm waking up and my eyes are still closed and my brain's kind of just kicking in, I'm thinking about what I need to do, what know what needs to happen, what kind of action am I taking, what's happening for the day. But if I watch my. My movie the last thing in the evening, I've already started to get these ideas and inspirations and ideas for actions, because, you know, that was the last thing that went into my mind. But depending on what you make in my movie about as to when you watch it. So for me, I always have a mind at the beginning of the year, which is a general one for the year. And I Watch that, that probably for the first few months of the year and I don't kind of really need to do that after that because I've already put every, all the wheels are in motion and things are starting to happen. My health and fitness mind movie I watch before I go to the gym or I watch it at the gym sometimes if I know my goal is to do like 30 minutes on the, on the stepper and I've only got to 20. I'll you know, I've got my phone with me so I can actually put my mind with the on and it gets me through that last 10 minutes. So and it also, if I'm you know, looking at not drinking or you know, eating well for in the evenings and I know that my date time's like 5 o' clock or something, then I'll watch my movie at 4:45. So it helps me, you know. That's right. This is what I'm doing. This is why I'm doing it. This is how amazing it's going to be when I get there. I'm good. You know, it sort of helps me that working on a project I'll, you know, like this kids program I'm working on. I'll watch that mind movie because it's getting me into that vibrational frequency of the outcome so it's easier for me to get ideas and be in flow when I'm working.
Oh Natalie, this is so helpful. So I want to offer a couple of my own thoughts about it. I am a pretty good video editor and I can tell you that my temptation as a result of that might be to haul out Final Cut or do my own mind movie. And I, I can tell you that I recently went to a workshop where everybody had an assignment of doing their mind movie and I wanted to get all fancy and I wanted to do it myself. Mine never got done. But the thing is about using the mind movie platform is it gets done. And I also want to suggest to you that it's not a matter necessarily of making one lockdown montage video. You might make a few because here's the thing, some of you want to write a book. Well, what if you made one montage that had you writing and researching and then having a book launch and then books in airports and then you've got this one montage all about you becoming a phenomenal best selling author. But then you could equally have another montage about you really dialing in your fitness or being a great parent. So I think you could have a master montage like your ultimate lockdown montage. But I think you could also create really frequency centric ones that are aiming for a particular area of life. So I want to remind you the way to do this, you go to lockdownmontage.com and there's all the instructions are right there. It tells you how to make your video, it tells you where, it gives you the link to go get your video. If you want to use the Mind Movies platform. It then gives you the instructions on how to enter the lockdown montage contest, which is really simple. You take your video, upload it to Facebook or YouTube or Instagram or Twitter or whatever, and you use the hashtag lockdown montage. Our team will be watching that, our partners will be watching that, and then every week we'll be giving away some prizes and the sponsors that we have so far, as a matter of fact, I was just looking at the design here. The sponsors that we have so far, WildFit is a sponsor, Better U Academy in Europe is a sponsor, and Edu Academia is also a sponsor. We also, I can't divulge some of the other. Mind Movie is a partner. So we've got a couple of others that are coming on board and we're going to be looking to add even more prizes. We want to make this a real exciting, fun project again. I want to remind you, if it's me, I wake up in the morning, watch the movie to stimulate the right chemicals in my body that day. I don't know if any of you ever saw the movie the Abyss, but in the movie the Abyss, there was a scene where a woman had to drown in order to save her life. It's Hollywood. That's how things are. And as the water was coming up, the water was coming up, you would think, well, she has to drown. That's the story. You may as well put her face in the water. But no, no, people want to live. And so as the water comes up, she's like lifting her head up and she's lifting her head up and she's lifting her head up and she's lifting her head up and I'm going, oh my God, she's going to drown. And then I realize I'm sitting in the Oxford Theatre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, like this. I'm sitting there, there's no water in the theater, there's no flood. What am I doing? I look like an idiot, I think. And then I look around and who else is doing it? Everybody. Media impacts your nervous system. Imagine how different your life would be if you got up in the morning and watched a montage of the way you want it to be be. And then if you had a down moment in the day, you took it out again to inspire yourself. And then at night, you watched it one more time with the volume a little lower, and then you went to sleep. Who would you be in six weeks? That's what Locked on Lockdownmontage.com is all about. Please go make your video, upload it, hashtag it, and let's see where it takes you. Natalie, I want to thank you so much for making the time to come out here and talking with us. I want to thank you for making mind movies when I failed to do it. I'm so happy for you. And. And I just. I really want to thank you for making the time to come out here and be on Thrivetime.
My absolute pleasure. Thanks, Eric.
Most welcome.
