ERF 884: One Decision Can Change Your Life Forever, My Social Media Story
20 Aug 2025 · 36 min
In this solo episode of the Eric Roberts Fitness Podcast, Eric Roberts reflects on the pivotal decision he made seven years ago to post his first social‑media video, a moment that set off a chain of events that transformed his life. He recounts the nervous, imperfect debut video in August 2018, the two‑plus years of low‑engagement posting, and the eventual breakthrough on TikTok during the COVID‑19 pandemic in 2020 that sparked massive follower growth. Leveraging that audience, he launched an online coaching business in April 2020, scaling from a handful of clients to a team of 13 employees serving thousands of clients monthly. He emphasizes his philosophy of consistent, purpose‑driven action over quick‑rich motives, detailing how he reinvested earnings, lived frugally, and prioritized improving coaching systems. A personal health scare—an untreated thumb infection that nearly cost him his thumb—serves as a vivid illustration of the cost of procrastination. Throughout, Eric stresses that a single decision—whether to post a video, start a workout, or join his coaching program—can alter one’s trajectory, warning that inaction is itself a decision with negative consequences. He repeatedly urges listeners to act now, promotes his Legion Athletics protein flavor, and invites the audience to enroll in his coaching program, framing the episode as both motivational storytelling and a direct call to action.

7 years ago today, I made one decision that scared the hell out of me. I was nervous, shaking, had no idea what I was doing, but that one decision to post my first ever video on social media completely changed my life. And if you're listening to this, I want you to know you're one decision away from changing yours too. What is going on, guys? Welcome back to another episode of the Eric Roberts Fitness Podcast. I hope you're having an amazing day thus far. And in today's episode, we're going to be talking about that. We're going to be talking about this past Monday, August 18th, was my 7-year anniversary of posting my first ever video on social media. And if you go to my Instagram @ericrobertsfitness, I just made a post about this. And so you can actually go and see the video. It is cringeworthy to say the least. Literally looks like somebody kidnapped me and they forced me to say and make, you know, say those things and make that video. But all that to say, I leave it up and I'm really proud of that video, even though it was— trust me, when you go watch it, you're gonna be like, dude, this, this is the guy that I follow. Like, this is where he started. But that's why I leave it up because I want to remind myself and I want hopefully other people to see you're not gonna be perfect with it. And trust me, when I first, like, when I made that video, I remember distinctly I was sitting on my couch. I propped my phone up on like my little TV stand that I had at the the time and I propped it up against my TV. And I remember just like looking at the phone and being like, what, what do I say? Like, what do I say? How do I say it? Like, I had no clue about angles. I wasn't very confident in myself. I had no clue, but I just knew I wanted to say something. I knew I wanted to get it out there. I knew I wanted to start. And that was the biggest thing for me. I just wanted to have that starting point. And You know, again, if you go watch the video, it's basically me talking about like my manifesto, which is so, it's so interesting to see now looking back on what I said then, because I essentially said like, hey, I don't, I don't know everything, but I'm going to share everything I know. I'm going to try to help you as best I can. That is my one goal of this page is to help people as much as possible. And it's just really cool to see how it's all played out since then. But before we get too ahead of ourselves, I want to hit on the first point. Of all of this, which is whether it's making a video on social media, whether it's changing careers, whether it's becoming a parent, whether it's wanting to lose fat and not knowing how to count calories or not, not knowing how to go into the gym and do the exercises, do the workouts. You're not going to be perfect when you first start something. So please don't beat yourself up and don't let that stop you from starting. I wasn't perfect. And it, it, it didn't happen right away for me. You know, I, I was at the time, I was an in-person trainer. I was waking up at 3:30 to go be at the gym by 4 to start training people at 4:30. And I would do that until 8:30 PM and I would go home and I would do it all again the next day, 6 days in a row. And so I didn't know exactly what was gonna come from it. I didn't know how all of this was going to transpire, but I just knew I wanted to start. And I really hope you can take that with you as well, because sometimes you do just have to start without things being perfect. And trust me, you know, my life didn't change right away. So when I first posted that video, that was August 18th, 2018, took, I would say, a good 2 to 3 years before things actually started to change. And this was 2 to 3 years of like consistent posting. This was 2 to 3 years of, you know, not getting a lot of views, not getting a lot of engagement at this time I had no online business either. So I wasn't like making any money from it. I didn't start making money from social media. I don't like directly make money from social media, but people find my social media and then they want to sign up for our coaching program, which is my business. And that's the only way that I make money, that we make money. But I didn't start making money until, you know, I'd say August, July, September of like 2020. That's when I really started to like, you know, get some real clients that like weren't my, my clients from in person. So it took 2 years of consistent posting, nobody watching, nobody commenting, nobody caring what I had to say, people making fun of me because it was just like my people, my, my friends from back home who were like, you know, trying to razz me on all of my videos and being like, oh, who the fuck does this guy think he is? And it was 2 years of that, you guys. And so it didn't happen right away. But I didn't need it to happen right away. Like I just wanted to do it. And that's where I think no matter what your goal is, whether it's weight loss, whether it's starting a business, my purpose wasn't to like get rich quick from posting videos on social media. I just loved fitness. Like I loved fitness. I loved working out. I loved learning about nutrition and I loved helping people. And so that's why I was doing it. And that's why I think I was able to be consistent for those 2 years. Like, let me keep reiterating this, 2+ years of consistent posting before anything happened. Imagine how, like, if my goal was to get rich quick or make a ton of money or something like that, that would be so defeating. But it really wasn't because that wasn't my goal. My goal was just to help people. My goal was to help one person per day, interact with one person per day, help educate one person per day. Like, if I did that, that was a win. And to this day, yes, you know, I have a business and, and I'll talk about that a little bit later on, but that is still the goal. Like when I make content, create content, when I do this podcast truthfully, and I mean this, if one person listens to this podcast and gets inspired from it and changes their life, then I win. Like that is a win for me. Anything more than that is icing on top of the cake. So it didn't blow up right away, but there was seeds being planted. And I'm a big, I'm a big believer in faith. I'm a big believer of God. And I just, I knew That God had something for me. While it was slow at first, around, like I said, 2020, 2021, that's where things started to get a little bit crazy. That's where, you know, in May of 2020, I got on TikTok. And at the time we had to remember, you know, 2020 COVID, people, everyone's home on their phones, you know, not doing anything, not going anywhere. And so during this time, TikTok was just like going crazy. And I mean, like I could post literally anything and get 20,000 to a million views like that. Like it was every video. And so during that time I was posting videos, making videos, and people started following. People started to like know who I was. People started to watch the content and I started to gain hundreds of thousands of followers. And I was going through some of my old pictures and it's so funny because I would take screenshots when I first got 5,000 followers. I was like, holy shit. Like, this is crazy. What is going on? And then it was like 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000, 300,000, 700,000. And I was like, what? Like, even thinking back to that time, it, it was just like wild because I was like, I, it was crazy to me anybody cared what I had to say because remember, I was posting for 2 years before that with nobody really caring. Like nobody really following nobody. It didn't really gain any traction. And I was just like, I felt like I was just a kid who like really loved fitness and was trying to help people, but I'm like, why would they wanna listen to me? Like, why, why do people care what I have to say? And so it was, it was a really wild time. And, and then during that time, again, you know, I started my online coaching business in April of 2020. And so during that time, you know, people were watching the content, watching the videos, and they were like, well, fuck, I, I want you to help me, Eric. I want, I wanna work with you. I want you to coach me. And so during that time, you know, I was gaining hundreds of thousands of followers and, and the videos were going crazy. And so I started to take on 10 clients, 20 clients, 40 clients, 60 clients, 80 clients. My, my cap where I was like, okay, I, I, I can't like keep taking on people. I was working with 100 clients one-on-one online. And, and like during this time, legit from like 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM was only answering emails, like answering emails and making a couple TikTok videos. That was like my entire life. So I knew at, at that point, like, I mean, things were going crazy. Like it was, it was nuts. My, my business was exploding and, and I started to realize like, I, I can't keep doing this by myself anymore. Like I need help. I need other people to start working with me and, and kind of helping me. And that's when, you know, uh, Coach Linda, who I don't know where I would be without Linda. She was a client of mine in person, and then she was inside of my online coaching program. And then just kind of like transparently through osmosis, she started to kind of like help out. And then she was a big part of our community. And I was like, well, hey, like, do you want to like leave your job and do this? Which is like crazy to me because Linda at the time was, I don't know. I mean, I can say her age. She's not going to care. She was like 49, 48, 50 at the time. I forget the exact age, but somewhere around there. And I was like, Yeah. Like leave your job and come work for this 24-year-old who's doing this thing on social media. And so it was just, it was crazy, man. Like it was nuts. But, you know, I'm so thankful for her. She trusted me and, and she had faith in me and she was like, yeah, this would be awesome. Like, I don't know how this is gonna go. And I was like, well, I don't really know how this is gonna go either. Again, going back to when I first made my first video, I didn't know what I was doing. When I first hired Linda, I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't know what we were gonna do. I didn't know how it was gonna work, but I knew we would figure it out and she knew we would figure it out. And so I started to hire Linda and then, and then Mary and then Tara, and then all of our coaches that, all of our amazing coaches that we have now, you know, just kind of like kept exploding from there. And it was just crazy to see. And I, I think one thing I was really proud of, uh, through this journey, people who follow the podcast know this, uh, I am obsessed with buying a Lamborghini and I'm not going to say for sure, but there may be some things in the works. And so I'm excited, you know, it'll be cool. So we'll see. But, you know, during this time of like 2021, 2022, 2023, I didn't go and like really upgrade my lifestyle. Not to say that would have been a bad thing, but for me, coming from the background that I came from, you know, money was, was, was the problem in my household. Like money was always the thing that we fought about. Money was always the thing where it was like, it was always this thing over my head. And so for me, I was like, fuck that. Like, yeah, maybe I'm making a little bit of money, but I'm like, I'm saving everything. I am not like, to this day, I still like don't want to go out to eat sometimes because I'm like, no, I could just cook at home. But, um, you know, I was saving money and I was reinvesting my money back into the business. I was hiring Linda. I was hiring coaches. I was upgrading our systems. I was upgrading content. I was getting, I just wanted to reinvest that money back into the business. Literally until February of this year, 2025, I, I lived in my 700-square-foot apartment. I still have the same car that I bought in cash in 2018. No, I'm sorry, 2014. Yeah, I bought that car in 2014 when I was 18 or 19. So whenever the fuck that was, but 2014, 2015, somewhere around there, I bought my car in cash and I still have the same car to this day. So like, I didn't, I didn't go upgrade my lifestyle. I just wanted to focus on building the business and not just from Like a growth, business growth perspective, but also from just, I wanted to get better as a coach. Like we were investing a lot into becoming better coaches, becoming, having better systems for our clients, having better check-in processes for our clients, understanding how to help clients get to their goals better, how to make sure they stayed on track better, stayed accountable. And so it was really just a lot of reinvesting and I was really, really proud of that. And then, you know, kind of looking Looking, you know, kind of fast forwarding to now, you know, we, we, I have 13 employees. Uh, we have a business that coaches thousands of clients per month, which is crazy to say out loud. Um, you know, I have a business that supports me. I have a business that supports, you know, my, some of, I, I have business supports that my family, I have a business that supports my coaches and their families and, and their lives. And so, you know, I'm able to take, you know, these amazing trips. You guys might see me if you follow me on social media or hear, kind of hear me talk about, hey, you know, going to Florida or I'm going to Mexico or whatever. It's like, That is something I always wanted to do growing up because number one, I just genuinely love the beach. Like even just talking about like being at the beach just like puts a massive smile on my face because I love it. And also too, as a kid, we weren't able to do those things 'cause we didn't have that kind of money. So, you know, it's allowed me to do that and have those experiences. And I, I just like, I'm just so grateful. I have my own protein powder flavor, which by the way, if you're interested, my protein powder flavor just restocked. So you can head to legionathletics.com. Get the protein powder flavor caramel coconut fudge cookie. That is my protein powder flavor. You can use the code Eric at checkout, and that will transparently help me because I want to show people, I want to show the company like, hey, the people who follow me, they like my shit and they like my protein powder. So you can do that. That would really help me out. Or there's a— there'll be a link in the show notes of this podcast where you can also get that protein powder as well. Again, the flavor is caramel coconut fudge cookie. It's so good. It tastes just like the Girl Scout cookie. The, the Samoa Girl Scout cookie, just such an easy way to get an extra protein throughout the day if you are struggling. Super clean, low calorie, low sugar, low carb, all that great stuff. So check it out if you'd like. But I've been able to get that as a, as a result of, you know, my, my decision to make a social media video. And, and literally I'm, I'm leaving, I'm living the dream life that I once imagined. Now, that's not to say days aren't challenging or days aren't hard. And that's also not to say like, by no means do I think I have like arrived. By no means do I think I have like made it. Like I genuinely think I'm just getting started. We're just getting started. There's so much more to accomplish and there's so much more to attain, but it is quite literally all of this has happened from one decision. And that's what I wanna shift to, to talking about now. One decision is all it takes. That video didn't like instantly change my life, right? I said it took 2 to 3 years for anything to really happen, but the decision To start posting videos on social media changed my life forever. One decision can literally change the trajectory of your life. My life is forever changed because of that one video. And it's not about the one big leap. It's about the decision to start. And that's really where I want to kind of turn this story on you now, because so many people With their health and fitness, whether it's you're afraid to fail, you don't start a coaching program. I, I, there are hundreds, if not thousands of people who listen to this podcast. They hear me talk, they hear our clients talk. Excuse me. They watch my videos, they read my emails, and they haven't joined our program yet. And they want to. Some of you guys, I'll be honest with you, you're never gonna join my fucking program. And that's fine. I don't expect you to. I still love you no matter what. And I'm super appreciative. But there are a certain percentage of people who want to join. Who never, who haven't yet because they're afraid to fail. And I, I get it. I understand it's, it's scary. Commitment is scary. You don't wanna fail again. What if it, what if you join doesn't work? But what I always say is like, I understand that, but what you should be terrified of is staying exactly where you're at. What you should be scared of is what happens if you don't make this decision. And by the way, not deciding is deciding. So many people think they can just opt out. So many people think they can avoid making a decision. When you say, I'm gonna think about it. When you say, I'll start on Monday. When you say, I'll start when things are less busy in my life. When you make these avoidances of making a decision, you are actually making a decision, which is to stay the exact same. Does that make sense to you? So when I say one decision can change your life, I mean that in a positive and a negative. You can make the decision that would then change your life like it has mine, or you can make the decision to stay exactly where you're at and keep getting exactly what you've been getting. And when we talk about the fear of failure, the fear of not seeing progress, or the fear of making a wrong decision, I think what you should be afraid of is If you make the decision to stay exactly where you're at and keep living the same life that you have been living for the past 6 months, 12 months, 3 years, 5 years, 50 years, that should terrify you. And I'll also be honest with you, eventually life will force you to make the decision. And usually it might not be the one that you want, and you might not be in a place Where you are right now. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I guess, however you want to think about this, one thing I have seen from like in our online coaching program alone, we've coached over 25,000 people. That's insane, right? Like that's nuts. And I'm super grateful. And that doesn't even take into consideration the 3 and a half years of in-person training that I did. And one thing that I have seen is life is gonna make you make a decision when you hit rock bottom. Unfortunately, that's what most people have to get to. You have to get to rock bottom before you're like, I gotta fucking change, dude. And it sucks, but it also kind of doesn't suck because when you think about it like this, you can change what rock bottom is. You can decide to say, I'm 20 pounds overweight. That's rock bottom. For some people, that is rock bottom. For some people it's 30 pounds overweight. For some people it's 200 pounds overweight. Everybody has a rock bottom. It depends on where your standards are. And so you could literally, again, going back to one decision can change your life. You can make the decision to say, no, this is rock bottom for me right now. I do not want to get any worse than this. This is my rock bottom. I am deciding to change. You can do that. One decision can change your life. Or what will happen is you'll keep putting it off and you'll keep avoiding making a decision and you'll keep thinking about it and you'll keep procrastinating and you'll keep waiting. And eventually you will hit that rock bottom when you get diagnosed with diabetes, when your blood pressure comes back and you've had a scare. Like, and by the way, I don't want any of these things to happen to you. This is just real life of where you're heading if you don't fix your shit. Yeah. So eventually you will have something very negative happen to you that forces you to change. But I'm just here to try to encourage you. Like, why do you have to wait for that to happen? Decide now that you don't want to get any worse. This is the worst that you will get. It is only up from here. You can decide that for yourself. And if you don't, eventually life will, and it's usually not what you want to have happen. And I want to tell a quick story about this. So back in 2021, I had something wrong with my thumb. I, I, to this day, I don't know what was wrong with it, but all I know is I woke up one day and my thumb was kind of like swollen and I was like, man, it's kind of like hurts. And I think I, I, I did something to it. I forget what it was, but it was swollen. I was like, all right, you know what? It's okay. Like it's, it's kind of bad, but I don't need to do anything about it. It's not that big of a deal. I don't like going to the doctor anyway, going to the, you know, ER, screw all that. So I'm like, all right, like, I don't know, I'll soak it in some hot water or something and I'll like try to fix it myself. Right? Again, probably what you tell yourself with your fitness. Yeah, I'm, I'm 20 pounds overweight. My clothes don't really fit, but like, I'll, I'll, I don't have time right now. I'll take care of this later. It's too busy right now. It's not that bad. I can fix it on my own. That was me with my thumb. I was like, you know, I'm too, I'm, I'm too busy with work. I got 90 clients that I'm coaching right now. I'm answering emails all day. Like I'm barely sleeping. I don't have time to fucking go to the goddamn doctor or even call the doctor. So a couple days goes by, my thumb is like 2 times the size that it was a couple days ago. And I was like, okay, this is probably not good. And I can tell it's getting worse. But still, I was like, I, I don't have time. Like, I'll, I'll take some medicine, I'll take some ibuprofen, I'll do a little Epsom salt, you know, again, like soak it in there, whatever. I don't know. I'll, I'll Google some stuff. Oh no, Google says I'm gonna die, so I'm just gonna not Google stuff. So a couple more days goes by and eventually it gets to the point where I can't bend my thumb. And it's like 5 times the size of my other thumb and it hurts and it's painful. And it's like, it's almost like that part of my hand was going numb. And I was like, okay, this is like, this is pretty fucked. Like, I'm not gonna lie. This is, this is really, really bad. So I call a doctor and they're like, yeah, hey, like we can help you, but you should probably go to the ER immediately. 'Cause if you don't, you might lose your thumb. And I was like, fuck off. I'm like, No way, right? Although I don't know, because it just kept getting worse. And so I hung up the phone, grabbed my keys, drove to the ER with my one hand, like half working, half not. So I get to the ER, you know, I'm— and I— there's like, it's like a Saturday night. It was like Saturday at like 5 PM. So like nobody was there. There wasn't a lot of people working there either. And so I sat there for like probably an hour and my thumb just was like Throbbing, getting worse. So finally they bring me to the back, you know, and the lady comes in and she kind of looks at it and she's like, holy shit. Like, this is like, you have a serious infection. And I was like, yeah. Oh, okay. And so I'm like, can, can you fucking fix it? Because now, now I'm scared. Now I'm like, okay, I, I fucked up. Like, I fucked up. I should have, I should have taken care of this when it was like initially starting to get bad. So now I'm like pissed at myself. Probably something you can relate to. I'm feeling kind of anxious. I'm like, this, okay. Like, this could be really bad. I'm like, can you fix it? And she's like, yeah, we can fix it. But she was like, I'll be honest with you. If you would've waited any longer, we probably would've had to cut off your fucking thumb. And I was like, holy shit. Like, think about that. I almost lost my goddamn thumb because I kept putting it off because I said, I'm too busy because I said, I'll, I'll take care of this myself. I'm not a fucking medical professional. How the fuck am I gonna take care of this myself? Right? And so luckily she was able to get the infection out. She like drained all this stuff out. It was disgusting. I didn't wanna look at it. She's like, oh wow, I love this. I'm like, you nurses are fucking weirdos. I'm like, I, I don't know, nurses and doctors. I'm like, I don't know, maybe I'm just, you know, a bitch with that kind of stuff, which I am. But still, like, I, I don't know. She's like, this is so cool. I'm like, that's disgusting. But nonetheless, you know, my, my thumb was fucking bandaged up for like 5 days. You know, I had to like do all these things to it. You know, luckily it's fine and everything, but I almost lost my damn thumb. Why? All because I was thinking about it. All because I was too busy to make a change. All because I'm just going to keep trying on my own. And that's what most people do with their fitness. Isn't that crazy? You've been putting it off for 6 months. You've been trying on your own for a year. Where are you at? Where are you? Where are you at? What has changed? Are you getting closer or are you staying the same or getting worse? And I just don't want you to keep Putting off a decision that can change your life for the better. I am living proof. I just told you my story. That decision to post that video changed my life forever for the better. I know this is real shit. I've seen it happen to me. And that's why I'm so passionate about this kind of stuff. That's why I get, you guys might hear me get mad or like, it almost seems like I'm pissed off when I'm talking about this stuff because It's not that I'm mad that I'm pissed off, but I just, I just want to shake you sometimes. And it's like, I need you to understand the shit that you're doing, putting it off, delaying, waiting for the perfect time, quitting when things aren't perfect, not starting because you don't know exactly what you're going to do. All of that shit is just making it worse. And I'm trying to open your eyes and wake you up to just say, you have to go. You have to take Take action. You have to move forward because one decision can change your life forever. And if you're hearing this and, and you're still sitting on the sidelines, like, just ask yourself, like, what's scarier, making a move and learning or doing nothing and wasting another year of your life? What's, what's worse, starting to go to the gym and look stupid for a week or 2 weeks or 3 weeks, but then inevitably learning how to do the exercises Learning how to stay consistent, learning how to use the right muscles, and then changing your life forever. You are putting off a short-term period of being uncomfortable for a long-term period of success and fulfillment and gratification and satisfaction. And instead, you're trading that for short-term comfort, for short-term, I don't have to change right now. I don't have to join Eric's program right now. I don't have to join the gym right now. I don't have to, I don't want to learn how to count calories right now. Having a short-term comfort, but then imprisoning yourself inside of a box of long-term pain, of long-term discomfort, of long-term living a life that you don't want to live, all because you're afraid to get uncomfortable in the short term. Guys, it is going to be short-term. Now, I said earlier I was posting for 2, 3 years before anything happened, but in the grand scheme of things, it's been 7 years since I made that video. So just for easy, if 2 years of that was nothing and it was hard and it was discomfort, but now the past 5 years, I've got to live this amazing life and build this amazing life and build this amazing coaching business and gain millions of followers. What do you mean the 2 years is nothing? I would make that trade every single time. That's like saying if you invested, for every $2 you invested, you got $5 back. Would you do that? Unless you're a fucking moron. Yes, you would do that. So that's how you have to think of this. It's the short-term discomfort. It's, it's the short-term investment. It's the short-term planting of seeds. I've told this story before, and I got this story from Andy Frisella. And I don't know the exact numbers. And so, you know, forgive me. I've said it before in this podcast, but I forget. But the story about the Chinese bamboo tree, when you plant this tree, you have to water it every single day and it doesn't grow for like 5 years. And again, my exact numbers might be off, but the concept is there. You have to water it every day and it doesn't grow for 5 years. And then when it starts to grow, it doesn't really grow that big. It's like small increments. And then in 8 weeks, it shoots up to like 70 feet. So think about that. Like, I know it's not sexy. I know I can't like sell you a, a, a body in 30 days, but think about that. Do you wanna put in the work now to have it pay off later? Or do you wanna not put in the work now? Stay comfortable. Think about it. Procrastinate. I'll wait till it's perfect. I'll just keep trying on my own. Do you wanna keep doing that now to be comfortable, to then never get to the fruit of your labor ever? Because you never put in the labor, you never put in the work to have the fruits bear. I really hope this is hitting home for you, and I hope my story can really show you that once again, one decision can change your life forever. The decision to walk into a gym, the decision to stop drinking, the decision to sign up for coaching. Like, you never know what's gonna come from it, but I do know this. And you know this, I can promise you, if you keep doing the same things you've been doing, you're gonna keep getting the same results you've been getting. And we, we as humans, we're so fucking emotional. There's all these emotions. I'm afraid. I'm scared. What if I fail? What if it doesn't work? But I ask you on this podcast today, take away the emotions and just think about it logically. Do you want to keep doing the same things you've been doing and keep getting the same results? Or do you want to do something different? And get a different result. I'm not guaranteeing you that the one thing you're gonna do is gonna change your life and automatically happen for you. It didn't for me, but the decision to post the video changed my life forever. The decision for you to sign up for coaching can change your life forever. The decision to go to a gym membership and, and get into the gym can change your life forever. Also, it did mine. I wouldn't be here right now unless I made that decision to get a gym membership. Did I like change my body overnight? No. But that decision, not only, yes, helped me change my body over the long term, but it led me to love fitness. It led me to get a job as a personal trainer. It led me to want to make that social media video. It led me to want to build this business. That one decision, you're really one decision away. And I say this and, you know, I know I've kind of Given you some harsh truths and kind of given you some tough love in this podcast, but I kind of want to end it with like this, this empowering, like, for real, like one decision can change your life forever in the most positive way. And that's no matter how bad you fucked up, no matter how many times you failed, no matter how many diets you've done or how many times you've gone off track, one decision can change your life forever. That should excite you. That should bring you some empowerment. That should get you pumped up about the future. Because if you can know, it's not about being a sniper. If you guys know what a sniper is, like, you know, they like very, very accurate, like long distance. Like just, it's not about being a sniper. It's just about being directionally right. It's about being like a shotgun. A shotgun might not be so accurate, but like, it's going to hit somewhere in the target. That's what you need to do. Will the decision To sign up for the gym, will that change your body in 30 days? No. But the decision to invest into your body, the decision to start working out and taking your health more seriously, that decision will change your body and life in 90, 120, 180 days. Will signing up for coaching fix everything immediately? No. No, it will not, but it will help you make your health a priority. It will help you do something different. than what you've been doing before. It will help you change your life forever in the long run. So stop waiting, stop procrastinating, make the decision now, whatever the decision is, whatever deep— and again, I, you know, I talk about fitness on this podcast, but it could be anything. It could be your job. It could be a career change. It could be relationship. It could be talking to that one person. It could be having a hard conversation with your boss or employee. It could be with school, going back to school, anything. That thing that, you know, you've been putting off, that thing that you keep saying, I'll think about it. Maybe I should do it. I'll do it when I'm, when I'm, when I'm in a better place. This is the funny one too. It's like, people will say, well, when I'm in better shape, I'll get a coach. It's like, that's the whole fucking point of a coach. What do you mean? When I'm, when I'm more rich, I'll start saving money. What the fuck do you mean? That's how you get rich. So that decision that you've been putting off and waiting till things are perfect, Make the decision, man. Fucking go. Stop living a life that is less than what you want. Stop living a life where you're disappointed with yourself because you don't have the courage to go. And that's the one thing for me, I'm so proud of that kid in 2018 that he had the courage to go. I wasn't perfect. I sucked, but he had the courage to do it. And you can't have courage unless you're scared. Making a decision That you're not scared of is not hard. There's nothing courageous about that. To have courage, you must be scared. To have courage, you must feel anxious. To have courage, you must feel like, oh man, like this is hard. That's the whole point. You have to have the courage to do it anyway. So you guys, one decision can change your life forever. I hope my story showed you that, and I hope you can leave this podcast today, go take an action. Stop fucking around. Stop waiting. Stop living a less-than life because you haven't made the decision you know you need to make. Do not let life make the decision for you. If there's one thing, stop letting life make decisions for you. You're going to continue to feel upset. You're going to continue to feel less than. You're going to continue to feel like you're not living your life the way you want to because you're not. You're not deciding how you want to live your life. You're letting other things or other circumstances do it. And that is a way to have a miserable fucking life that you will never be proud of. And I promise you, I'm not trying to be mean. This is just the reality. And if that decision is to sign up for our coaching, click the link in the show notes of this podcast. We would love to be able to help you. This mindset that I have, this mindset that I'm talking through today, This is how our coaches think. This is how we operate. This is what we do. We're gonna have these hard conversations with you because I believe it's our job as coaches to have these hard conversations. It's not my job to be fucking nice to you, although I think it is nice actually telling you the real shit, but it's not my job to be nice. It's my job to help you change your life. And so I'm willing to have these hard conversations with you. We're willing to have these hard conversations with you.
