Eric Siu breaks down why most email campaigns fail. Companies send their best email first, then weak follow-ups. Instead, start simple and personal, then hit them with a produced video later to show you care and actually get a response.

And when you look at email campaigns at most companies, one of the biggest mistakes I think people make is they essentially allow their later emails to just be the weakest emails, which is completely inverted of what you should be doing. Because if I send you a generic email on that first email and you respond, like, that's amazing, right? Because that means the demand was already there, so it's really easy for me to capture. Right. The problem is, is that if you don't respond, your demand is gonna be harder to capture for that particular lead. So what we did is we inverted it. We sent a still personalized but pretty, like, straightforward email, and that was our first email, but then that third email that you got, it was a customized, personalized video that was really, really well produced. Literally like, hey John, Patrick here from ProfitWell. Love what you're up to over at Level Up. And then all of a sudden I'm offering maybe an offer to get on a call. What this ends up doing is all of a sudden I break through the frame. I'm looking unconventional, but not in a way that hurts the brand. And ultimately that allows you to be like, oh, this guy's legit, or this guy like actually put in work to talk to me.
