What if you could build a working AI agent in the next 8 minutes without any complicated tools and absolutely no coding? Well, I'm here to tell you that you can, and I'll prove it by building one right now that plans my day and sends me an email every morning, and you can follow along. You've probably seen a dozen AI agent videos and you still thought to yourself, okay, but how do I actually build one myself? Don't worry, you're not missing something. Most tutorials are overcomplicated and it can actually be really simple to get started. By the end of this video, You have your first agent, a personal assistant that thinks, plans, and updates you automatically every morning. So let's get started. Here's what we're building together: a simple AI agent that does 3 things. 1, it checks your calendar. 2, it looks up the latest digital marketing headlines. And 3, it sends you a short daily summary all on its own. Think of it as your personal digital assistant that actually thinks before it acts. The point of this super simple tutorial is for you to understand how easy it can be to build a working agent. Step 1, you want to head to Lindy.ai and sign up for a free trial on Lindy. Turn on voice message in Lindy and say something like, create an agent called Day Planner. The goal is to create a daily alert email that helps me plan my day. It will pull in my schedule from my Google Calendar and then give me the top headline from searchenginejournal.com, searchengineland.com, and seroundtable.com. To help keep me up to date, it will deliver this via a neat Gmail email each morning at 7 AM. That's your foundation. One clear, unambiguous mission. Hit send on the prompt and Lindy will think for a minute or two. It will then respond with something like this. If you're happy, hit build agent. Step 2, you want to confirm and add the tools. Now Lindy's AI agent builder is going to think again and ask you a few questions to make sure it's staying on the right path. These are often referred to as clarifying questions in the AI world. They might be something like, which calendar do you want to use? Would you like to use Gmail to receive your daily summary? Lindy will aim to get as many answers as possible so that you don't have to do any manual agent building yourself. So be patient and answer the questions. Now that Lindy has all the info it needs, it will ask you to confirm everything is correct before going to work. If you're happy, tell Lindy it's correct. And just like that, we're off. So far it's not that scary, right? Now we are just waiting for Lindy to finish building our agent. Okay, now the agent is done and it wants me to log into Google Calendar and Gmail so it can access my calendar and send emails. And that's it. We are now ready to test this agent. It looks great and most importantly, it's working. That took 5 minutes, no code, no APIs, and it's genuinely useful. All you have to do now is test and then deploy your agent, and that's it. Congratulations, you just made your first agent. This tiny build worked not because it's fancy, but because it's focused. There's no code, there's no chaos, just clarity. And that's the secret behind every great AI agent. Focus, not features. Not a complicated end-to-end scenario, no APIs, no fragile chains. Just 3 stable tools inside Lindy, guided by clear instructions. In reality, what we created barely scratches the surface of what's possible in Lindy. But the point of today's video was to get you over the first hump because now you actually have something that works. And that's the difference between playing with AI, quote unquote, and building a dependable digital assistant. I often see people overcomplicating agents, which leads them to failure. And look, I get it. If you've tried to follow other tutorials, you've probably seen walls of code, complex charts, retrieval augmented generation, chaining, API calls. But the truth is most of those are just extra details that you may not even need for your agent. So cross that bridge when you get to it. At the core, every AI agent works the same way. It has a brain to think and tools to take action. Once you see how these pieces connect, everything starts to make sense. Now, once you have your head around the basic principles of agent building, you can start thinking about the endless possibilities for your own army of AI employees. You can do weekly automated reporting with AI-driven analysis. You can do automated client check-ins where the agent notifies you of any issues requiring your attention. You can nurture leads with automatic and relevant follow-ups customized to individual prospects. And look, I'm sure your My head is already filling in with new ideas on what to build next.
