Creating Content on Autopilot: How to Use ChatGPT to 10x Your Productivity

Eric Siu shows how to turn podcast episodes into blog posts using ChatGPT. Transcribe with Riverside, feed the transcript to ChatGPT for a draft with headers and headline, have an editor add links and images. This workflow cuts content costs by about 80% and generates more leads.

My name is Eric Siu, founder of Single Grain, and I'm going to give you a 3-minute hack on how you can 10x your content while decreasing your content costs by about 80% or so. So for context, I have a podcast called Marketing School, another one called Leveling Up, and for Marketing School, we pump out a new episode every single day. That's allowed us to accrue a good amount of downloads for the podcast, but we are looking to maximize the content that we're putting out. And so we use our podcast as a pillar piece of content. So one podcast episode, and from one episode, we talking maybe about a couple of different ideas. But the whole idea here is we want to expand that content onto our blog because our blog has good domain authority, which means that whenever we publish a piece of content that is tied to marketing, as an example, it will tend to rank well. And so what we do is we use a software called Riverside. Riverside has a transcription feature which uses AI to transcribe the content that we're putting out. And then from that, we will then take that transcription, copy the entire thing, go over to ChatGPT, and we will ask it a prompt. And so in the prompt, we will say, ChatGPT, ChatGPT, please create a blog post complete with headers summarizing the content from this transcript. Also, please create a catchy headline as well. And then what will happen is ChatGPT will output it, we'll run it through a duplicate content checker, and the duplicate content checker usually says that 98% plus of it is unique. And then what we will do is we will use a human editor as the last mile. The humans will then add research links statistics, images, and they'll basically make that blog post into a nice 1,000 or 1,500-word blog post. And from there, we will publish it. It basically saves us about 80% or so. So there's a big time savings, there's a big cost savings as well, and we can therefore output a lot more content. And this is very helpful considering we drive a lot of our leads from our blog. So hopefully you found that helpful. That's a 3-minute marketing tip. And if you want to learn more, you can always just look at what we're doing on Marketing School. So that being said, catch you later.
