Whenever I am facing some sort of issue, I'm stressed out, I'm trying to think through something, I will go for a walk outside and I will intentionally not have headphones in. I won't listen to a podcast, I won't do anything, I'll just go walk. And so I started Googling around saying like, why does this work? There's a bunch of science that shows walking, but not just walking on a treadmill, that can be helpful, but actually walking and moving forward, having all of the inputs around you, whether you're in a busy city or a rural area that's quiet in nature, The body is built to start to make connections in your brain that it would not otherwise do. And some people say that it's because there's blood flow, and so there's more blood going to your brain, all these different, you know, kind of theories about it. For whatever reason, when I walk outside, all of a sudden I get new ideas, I solve problems, and I get things done that I've been thinking about all day.
