Eric Siu argues Google will soon crawl social platforms more heavily and cross-reference creators across LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube to rank results as website traffic declines and social media grows.
If you're Google right now, knowing that maybe website traffic is dying and knowing that social is becoming stronger and stronger, you probably have to do a much better job of crawling everything on social because that's where things are going. And then what you would do is try to cross-reference, okay, Neil Patel on LinkedIn, on Twitter, on YouTube, whatever. Let's just look at all the things he's talking about and maybe rank him accordingly that way. But I think the way Google's going to choose to rank things in the near future is going to be completely different.
