Grok Bot CRUSHES Hermes and OpenClaw (Steal These Workflows)

Eric Siu demos GrokBot against Hermes and OpenClaw, walking through connectors like Gmail, Slack, and HubSpot, plus six sample autonomous workflows for SEO, revenue tracking, and outreach. He covers setup, reliability, cold-start problems, and when to add human review before deployment.

So the question is, is GrokBot actually better than Hermes and OpenClaw? So there's a lot to go through here, and I'm going to show you my screen. I'm going to walk through my GrokBot setup so you can determine which one's better for you. I'm going to go through the pros and the cons as well, but I want to show you how I'm using it from a business standpoint to drive more revenue for my companies. Don't get me wrong, I was an OpenClaw user from the early days. I was a Hermes user from the early days, and I still use Hermes quite a bit. And OpenClaw has kind of changed, and I'll go into that in a little bit. And we're going to talk about the key benefits that you should be looking into and why GrokBot might have just dethroned Hermes and OpenClaw. This is my GrokBot here. And so everyone knows GrokBot basically is an autonomous agent, Grok's version, xAI's version, SpaceX's version of an autonomous agent. So they've seen what Hermes can do, they've seen what OpenCLAW can do, but they want to make a more user-friendly version of this, right? And so you can see that there's different plugins you can add here, different connectors that you can add here. So just, I think for early days, for simple connectors here, just add in your Google Drive, your Gmail, your Google Calendar. Now all this, I mean, make sure that, you know, you're not giving away the farm here where it can just do whatever it wants. You can add in Granola, a bunch of plugins that I, from a business owner standpoint, am looking at, right? So GitHub, Linear, what we use for project management, right? And then if you use Asana, great. Stripe is in here, Clay's in here, Mixpanel's in here. So the more connectors you feed an autonomous agent like this, the more powerful it becomes. Slack is good as well, right? Gong is helpful because it can pull from customer calls, sales calls, internal calls that you're having. So the thing that you want to do with your company too is you want to make it more queryable, right? The more queryable you make it, the more searchable you make it, the more useful this type of stuff becomes for your company, right? And then you can have browser-based browse for computer use, you know, your CRM is going to be helpful to X as well to, you know, ingest content that we're putting out. And so one of the issues with GrokBot is when you're logging into it, it's— you can see that you have to make these new bots, right? But when you make this new bot, there's a cold start problem over here. You don't really know where to start, right? It looks like it's trying to onboard me right now. But as a new user, if you've never used this stuff before, you're probably at a standstill. And so what I would say is, If you're using Claude or if you're using ChatGPT or if you're using Groq, whatever it is that you're using, I would just say that because it has memory on how you work already, it understands how you work already. You want to think about what makes the most sense right now. Okay. Hey, based on our working style, I want to make an autonomous agent. Can you make some empty files for me to spin up these autonomous agents? That's what you would do. And that's literally what I did with a lot of these bots. Actually, I think all of these bots over here, are MD files created from my other harnesses that I use quite a bit. So I use Codex a lot, and I think Codex is the best harness right now, the desktop app. There's just so much that you can do with it. And I continue to use Hermees. So I use the Hermees, which is the mobile app that is a third-party one. I use it for my iPad, and then I use the Hermees desktop app. And so I'm just able to get a lot done, right? This way, okay, hey Eric, I just got set up. Like, what do you want me on? That causes a bit of anxiety. What I would say is you just want to cut over your stuff, make MD files, and then you can work with it here, right? And so what I've done is I'm going to show you a couple examples here, and I'm going to talk through the benefits of this. I'm going to talk through the downsides as well. And I'm going to talk about where I think all this stuff is going, right? Because OpenClaw really paved the way for this movement. And I think this stuff is going to get more and more mature over time. And we want to make more and more of this accessible to the average person, make it very easy to set up and then kind of go from there. Okay. I'm just going to pull in this AEO SEO bot that we have, and I'm going to show you some, some output here. Okay. I am asking it to pull a lot of my content from Gong, from X, from YouTube, calls that I'm having internally, maybe even huddle goals that I'm having internally, or maybe content that I ingest into this thing. And then I want to figure out top of the funnel, middle of the funnel, bottom of the funnel content to be creating, uh, from an AEO SEO standpoint, right? Because I want to drive more traffic, I want to drive more leads. What this does is it also will pull in other connectors that we have. It should look at our Google Search Console, it should look at our Google Analytics. So the more data that you have, it's ingesting content spikes, content ideas. And then from the data that we have already, it can, it can do research, it can think there. And then from there, it can leverage our ClickFlow API, which is our tool that we use for generating content. So there's an API and MCP for it, which you use for free, by the way. And then because we're still on WordPress right now, we leverage an MCP, which is called WP Vibe. And so we combine these things together. And then from there, we're able to output content that is like, Haley is one of the editors on our team. And she says this content's already an 8 out of 10. And I'm like, because her standards are really high, I'm like, that's pretty damn good, right? And so if something we can get to 8 out of 10, and you have a human handle the last mile, that's going to be really good content. What I don't want right now from an AEO SEO standpoint is publishing a bunch of stuff, you know, a bunch of slop, right? Which is what a bunch of other companies are doing right now. I think that you have to have a human in the loop in the beginning, middle, you let the agent do the work, and then at the end, the human comes back in, right? I think when it comes to marketing, you need to have a lot more taste. And so when it comes to thinking about how GrokBot works, when it comes to business, when it comes to driving revenue, I'm like, okay, I was already using this in Codex, but this was much easier to set up, right? So let's talk about some of the benefits real quick. So I just showed you this workflow. Clearly, it's a Simple workflow, but it was easy, very easy for me to set up. Just telling you about that, you know, making the MD file from whatever harness you're using right now, bringing it in here, that makes it very easy to set up because you're just making a handover document. Okay. When you work with your other harnesses, they are aware of GrokBot. They're aware of how this works. And so you say, hey, based on how I work, what agents do you recommend me creating? And what do you think would be the most unique cases, use cases based on connectors that we have? And then you can connect this, right? And so the issue before with like a Hermes or an OpenCLAWS, it's open source, right? There's a lot of anxiety. Like, do you put it on another device? You put it on DGX Spark, you put it on a Mac Mini, right? What do you do from a connector standpoint? And some connectors are more complex to set up than other connectors, right? And oftentimes OpenCLaw or Hermes, you're going to run into issues where it crashes or there's going to be context bleed into other chats and things like that. And so you don't need to worry about troubleshooting. And I think for the beginner right now who's been looking at OpenCLaw or Hermes, you're like, I want to get into it, but I don't have the time. Now is the time that you can actually do something like this. I think that's the biggest benefit. From an ease standpoint to set this up, I think this is way better than like a Hermes or or OpenCLAW. And I think from a reliability standpoint, this is going to get a lot better too. And the fact that you can spin this up on different— each of these bots are in the cloud environment, right? So you don't have to worry about self-hosting it or anything like that. And I think that's going to ultimately save you a lot of time. The barrier to entry to setting these up is like there's a lot of anxiety, right? Enterprises can't quite set it up. And even though Microsoft has their version of like an OpenCLAW and like a Hermes, and same thing with NVIDIA too, they have these enterprise versions that are a lot more secure. Still, you don't want to worry about managing this stuff, right? And so I think Groq Does have a good situation here in terms of getting ahead of the market, in terms of having that one autonomous agent that might be more enterprise ready versus the other ones at this point. So I'm looking at this right now, this AEO SEO bot that I have, because I'm asking where it can ingest content from, right? So it's telling me what can be done here and it's saying what the blockers are. Then I can just tell it to, to, let's do it, right? While I do that, I'm going to show you some of the other bots that I have just so I can give you some ideas, but I want to show you the output that comes from this, this, this agent, right? This took from one of the templates that we had already. So don't mind the design because once we start to it pushes to our CMS, it will integrate the design guidelines that we have. But what I want you to pay attention to is you look at this table of contents over here. So there's 23 different points, right? So VVM Grows can do this. Okay. Search Console can do it. Okay. Single Grain. So this is more of like a services page for us on the Single Grain side. What's an SEO agency engagement at Single Grain? This is a very detailed page. Okay. And it's using ClickFlow to draft this and it's understanding what our writer guidelines are. There's internal links and things like that at the end. And so, you know, there's a nice little touch with this little bar at the top as well. And so there's a lot we can do. to play with this, right? And we have skills where we can add in the call to actions and things like that. But GrokBot put this together and I'm like, this is already pretty damn good and it's only going to get better, right? And the way we think about doing this, all this stuff right now is just we give people control of skills and then ultimately these bots can run these skills and then we're ultimately able to do a lot more for the clientele that we work with, right? So here's a revenue signal radar bot. And so every weekday it will rank the handful of current quarter revenue moves that are worth making across expansion, stalled deals, and closed loss revival with evidence and a draft. And nothing out until you approve it. Okay. This is great because you think about all the deals that you might've lost before, maybe expansion opportunities, maybe there's deal expansion or sorry, lookalike expansion off of maybe ICP fits that have reached out that you haven't spoken with, or maybe people that reach out for discovery call that you haven't spoken with, or people that responded to your cold outbound that you haven't connected with. Right. And so this will give you an idea and this is dummy data over here. So this is, you can see, oh, you know, here's the priority. So this one's stalled out right now. This is a home goods brand awaiting signature. You know, here's the priority level and the next step. Here's what's going to happen. Right. And so it can give you basically this queue and it can draft emails for you to then send out. So imagine if a salesperson is running this, this is connected to their Gmail, this is connected to their HubSpot, they have read access only, and then maybe they can draft, maybe you allow the Grok bot to draft, that becomes very powerful, right? And so everyone kind of gets their own version of autonomous agent. And that's always been my vision, right? But the only issue is with the Hermes, for example, when we do these implementations for clients, it's like, okay, well, what about permissioning? What about governance? What about security and all these things? And so I think if you have something like this, this is good. We ultimately, we make a company brain where people can use it to do a lot of the work, right? And then we have a lot of the workflows. It's talking about the concept known as fat skills, thin hardness, right? You want to have very deep skills and you can combine them with each other and kind of go from there. So that is the Revenue Skill Radar. And those of you that have been watching my stuff, I talk about this sponsorship piece already. There's a sponsorship piece over here, which there's a deal that our sponsorship bot is actually negotiating with Semrush right now. And it's actually not, it's something that I'll look through like once a week. And basically it'll send out like an email to these people, right? It sends out like an initial email to people because I get like 20 to 30 sponsorship requests per week. And I really just want the bot to deal with them. And it deals with people really well in terms of, hey, here's our typical price. Are you going to accept it or not? And kind of go from there, right? And then we kind of pick and choose the deals that we want to take. So if you're managing that for clients, if you're managing influencer deals, things like that, a sponsorship deal desk definitely works. And then this one is Outreach Command Center, right? So what this one does is it has 3 worker agents that handle sourcing for warm single brain outbound sponsorship and stalled deal revival. So this is like a command center that's going to show you what's happening at a high level. So you know what's happening, right? Because oftentimes you're working on so many different threads that you don't know what's happening. And then this one's helpful too. You have a pre-call intelligence. And so a lot of people will talk about having these notes, like these pre-call notes, right? But what's interesting to me is if you can actually create a, almost like a lead dossier first, right? So, hey, here's what the size of the company is. Here's the decision required. You know, here's the recommended actions. Here's what the angle should be based on the products and services that you offer. Um, here's any calls that we might've had with this person. So this can get better and better, right? And so the way I look at this, like what I just said was GrokBot is good from an ease of setup and reliability standpoint out the gate. And it's only going to get better over time too. This is a little bare bones to start with, but it's going to get better over time. You're going to be able to compound it. And I would also say that if you're already using an OpenClaw or a Hermes, I would say, and also you're using Claude Code and you're using Codex as well, which is ChatGPT basically, you're using all these things, you're using open source models. Okay, that's all great, but you might as well add this to the stack. And so I don't look at this as it's got to be this or this, right? Because this is not that hard to set up. And I look at this as something that is going to empower more users to come online and more people to use this, right? Here's another one over here, Founder Content Radar. Okay. And this one, This one, like, I, I think I asked it to give me ideas that I can make this into a bot. And so here's what this does. Okay. Okay. I'm Eric Siu, founder of Content Radar. Every morning I scan X and the web for conversations heating up around AI agents, marketing, recruiting, and revenue ops, then turn the strongest signals into original ideas. Hey, can you add Matt Van Horn's last 30 days skill to this? So when you do this, it becomes even more powerful, right? So let's see if this even works. This is just a very basic command because I know there's a last 30 days skill that's, that's very powerful. And you can see, oh, here's the ranked ideas over here. Here's the confidence. Oh, when is this going to expire? So basically this gives me ideas to attack from a pillar content standpoint. I'm going to go from there. And so I'm just going to let this work right now. Oh, okay. I'm on it. I'm finding Matt Van Horst's last 30-day skills and fold it into Morning Write. So imagine like if it's very easy to add skills into here, which it should be, great, right? And then now I'm looking at this AEO SEO one over here and, you know, granola is rich. Okay, great. What has it done over here? Services, Reddit is next. Okay. Okay, go ahead and produce these in parallel, right? Let's just see what happens here. By the way, I'm typing. You can be dictating this. You could just be yapping to this all day and you should be able to get a lot more stuff done, right? And so it's recommending that it should attack these pieces of content. I'm like, okay, just show me what you got. Let's go from there, right? And so here it found the last 30 days, it searches X, Reddit, other service that ranks by actual engagement, installing into Radar now. Okay, easy. You see how easy that is? And this, this is what blows my mind. You know, I've been working like this in ChatGPT since January. I'm like, I'm surprised the world hasn't woken up to this yet. I think it's because it wasn't so, it wasn't as accessible, right? It wasn't easy to kind of put this stuff together and for people to use. Now it's becoming a lot more accessible. Okay, so here's another example of another bot. This is a marketing analyst bot that you can use, right? So this is dummy data over here. So sample output. So this is a marketing analyst bot. So it connects HubSpot, Ramp, and Gong, and then tells you what's actually creating pipeline versus what's just costing money and where the next dollar should go. Not a campaign dashboard. This is a keep, cut, spend call. Your CFOs would like this, right? So sample output, fake company, fake numbers, find the screen shares, keep, cut. So Verdict organic pages are creating pipeline, paid media contractors are not Closes the bottleneck, not more ads. Okay. What's converting? Okay. You're converting over here. Organic search is credited with 90 contacts, AI referrals here. So this helps from a marketing standpoint at a high level, right? Oh, what this all cost last month. Okay. These are all contractor invoices, software costs over here, right? Cut down this $14K on these unattributed contractors, whatever. So again, dummy data over here, right? But you can kind of understand where this is going. Okay. So I'm going to give you another Bot idea here, outreach agent. Okay. So I build a weekday queue of warm single brain prospects. Okay. So I read HubSpot, Gmail, and calendar, apply hard safety gates, score, draft each email, and then stop. Nothing sends until you approve. So that part is important, right? There's too much brand reputation where you just let this yellow every day, at least for right now. So that's what I would say. In my opinion, this is something that could displace Hermes and OpenClaw in terms of mindshare because of the ease of setup and the reliability. And you can just see Also the resource that they're going to put behind it because of SpaceX, right? And so Hermes, they raised money for it. They have resources, right? OpenClaw, even though they have a deal with OpenAI that's kind of weird, they're like a nonprofit or whatever. I think they're kind of falling apart, right? Like OpenClaw hasn't really improved in the last few months or so. So I'll say OpenClaw is behind even though they're kind of number one. And I think it's a resourcing thing, right? Because OpenAI has a lot of stuff to deal with. And you have Hermes, which they raised money, right? And I think they're certainly very reliable and they're shipping a lot and I think they're very impressive. But when you put the power of SpaceX behind this and you look at how quickly they ship, I would say that you definitely, like, for most people, people are going to be wanting to turn to GrokBot. That's my opinion for the next 6 to 12 months or so. And we'll see how this all plays out. And maybe it is that Claude and ChatGPT launch their own versions of this, but I think this is a very impressive first go at it. And my guess is that if you have never set up a Hermes or OpenCLAW before, you're going to go with this first.
