Eric Siu and a co-host debate whether Google's Gemini has caught up to ChatGPT. They cite competitive pressure and note that large profit margins attract fast competition and investment, referencing an article from The Information and comments from Sam Altman.
These products that Google's creating, I think they're moving at a faster pace and doing a better job than ChatGPT. I think so too. And I think this is where I read something on The Information last week because I still have a subscription to The Information. Basically, the article is like how Sam Altman's like, oh crap, this is like, oh crap moment. And like internally he's like trying to push the team now because they need to be pushed because this Gemini situation, like they are starting to get lapped.
And I think this is going to really change what is going to happen in the whole marketing ecosystem. And I'm like, you may say you're a decade ahead, everyone can catch up very quickly and they don't need a decade's worth of time. When your margins are that high, It invites competition, right?
