Eric Siu explains how to choose which podcasts to appear on. Skip the big shows that ask the same generic questions. Go for smaller, well-researched hosts who ask original, deep questions instead.

So this is for anybody who's trying to get me on a podcast. I will do podcasts if I think the person who's doing the interviewing has good questions. So I did one recently with somebody who had no, like, very small audience. Yeah. But I saw, or the team had seen, that he like did a ton of research on every person, would watch like 50 hours of content to ask like really good in-depth questions. And so like, and he's doing it absolutely the right way, which is like, do the work and you can bat outside of your league if you do the work. But the flip side is like, if somebody's got like, they've been doing a podcast, they've got 500 episodes, They've never taken off. And the first question that they ask in every video is like, so tell me about yourself. No, thank you. I'm just not interested. Like, my audience already has 50 podcasts they can watch of me saying the exact same story.
