Okay, so today we're going to talk about how to beat procrastination. This applies for your personal life, this applies to business. But before we continue, don't forget to rate, review, subscribe. It really helps us grow, really helps when you support. It makes me, makes me happier, it makes the world go round, all that kind of good fuzzy stuff. So look, when you think about procrastination, that's a lack of motivation. When I remember all the times I, I'm procrastinating, I'm putting things off. That's lack of motivation to get something done. And there might be something holding me back, right? It tends to be avoiding the important things that you know you need to be doing. And the thing is, when you avoid those things, those are the things that like, you know, if you get them done, it's uncomfortable doing it, but it just, it adds so much value for the long term. And if you keep doing that over and over, it's going to compound over time. So what I would say is when you're procrastinating on something, think about your goals, right? And this is backing up a second. There's a book that I read called Vivid Vision. It's a great book. It talks about creating a vision for your long-term. What is your vision for the long-term? You gotta have goals first, right? If you don't have any goals to begin with, it makes life tougher for you 'cause you don't have any direction. Now, then what you would do is you layer it on with something that I use called the 5-Minute Journal. The 5-Minute Journal, every morning I wake up, it says, you know, here are the 3 things I'm grateful for, here are the 3 things I'm gonna do today, here's a word of affirmation, basically. And then you can fill it out at night. There's 3 amazing things that happened, And there's one thing I could have done, or a couple things I could have done to improve. That sets the direction, that sets the tone for today. You're off, you're off to a good start, and then that gives you a feeling of motivation, right? When you have a feeling of motivation, you've trained in the morning, you've gone to the gym as well, you've done some meditation too, maybe you've drank some water, you've kissed your spouse, you kissed your dog, all these amazing things, right? Then you've got this motivation suit, and you just feel amazing, and that makes it tougher to procrastinate. I just, I wake up with so much like energy, I'm ready to go, and I'm just like, yeah, you know what, let's do it. And I start hitting the things that I tend to avoid, get those out of the way, and your day becomes way easier. If you just have one big thing you wanna knock out each day, one big hairy task obstacle that you wanna get out of the way, you knock that out in the morning, your day is already off to a really good start. Everything else is just gravy at the end, okay? But it starts with creating good habits first. Planning your day out, planning your vision out, having some sense of direction with your life, then it becomes much easier to knock off the procrastination bug. It's gonna be way easier to say, hey look, I get that you're trying to get me to procrastinate right now, look, I don't have time for it, I got goals, I got things that I wanna hit, I got people I wanna see, I got things that I wanna achieve, you know, there's all these things, right? But it starts with kicking the procrastination away, and then you're gonna be able to accomplish everything that you want. So, if you enjoyed this video, leave a comment.
