Eric Siu tests Google Bard's new ability to search the web and pull live information, comparing it to ChatGPT. Bard can now summarize long documents and URLs, feels faster, and marks a significant move in the AI chatbot competition.
Google Bard might just completely crush ChatGPT's growth rate. Google I/O, which is Google's event, they announced a big update to Google Bard, which is their version of ChatGPT. And the implications are huge here. I just started playing with it a couple days ago and I wanted to show you a couple things that you can do with it. So as I look at different PDFs, so let's say I don't want to read a document, it's 19 pages. So I just said, hey, can you summarize this? And the reason I can ask it to summarize a URL is because Bard is able to pull from the web in semi-real time or at least semi-recently, without needing any additional plugins and things like that. And I would say it's also a lot snappier than a ChatGPT. And I think it's gonna be, the competition is heating up quite a bit now and I think it's gonna be interesting to see how this pans out in the next 6 to 12 months or so.
