I've talked to the best marketers in the world, and here are my top 5 lessons I learned from them. Number 1 is Alex Hormozi and the offer. Everything is about the offer and giving much more than you get initially, because if people have a good experience with you, the easier it is for them to, one, remember you, and two, because they built a relationship with you, it's a higher likelihood of driving a conversion, driving a sale down the line. Number 2, my podcast co-host Neil Patel believes that content is a compounding asset. So with Marketing School, we've done over 3,000 daily podcast episodes, and because of that repetition, that's allowed us to build core authority that paid ads cannot buy. Number 3 is from Chris Do. You want to find a mentor early, and not only a mentor, you want to make sure that you find the right mentor. Chris learned fastest when he worked with people who understood his situation and gave him direct personalized feedback instead of generic fluffy advice. Number 4, cost over competition. So my friend Patrick Campbell shares that pricing should be determined by the value of the product and not just by what competitors charge. When the value is obvious, price becomes less of a barrier. So if you're driving $10 million in value for a product, instead of just charging $10,000 a year, why can't you charge $1 million a year because that's 10% of the value. It's a fair deal if you can guarantee it, right? Think about that. Number 5, focusing on one game before expanding. So Noah Kagan suggests that you should pick one offer, one avatar, one channel, and go deep until it works. And I totally agree because you can do anything, just not everything.
