OpenClaw + Claude Code Will Replace Entire Teams

Eric Siu shows how OpenClaw and Claude Code together can automate marketing, SEO, ads, and outreach work. He demos a dashboard and an AI chief-of-staff bot, then walks through ROI math showing how these tools could replace entire agency roles.

The real question is, can OpenClaw or Claude Code, or together, can they replace human beings? There's a lot of stuff going on in the world right now. You see layoffs are at the highest rate in the last 17 years or so. Software stocks are getting clobbered. Large companies aren't hiring anymore, right? So is this actually happening right now? And I wanted to show you the math behind this because I actually went to OpenClaw and Claude Code myself and I tried to get the math done. OpenClaw alone or Claude Code alone, maybe it could do 60% of the work, but when I combined them, you actually got Real numbers. I'm going to show you right now how this looks on the screen. And we're going to talk about what you can do about this as well. All right. So on my screen here, I was working with Claude Code on this and I just said, okay, well, hey, like, you know, a lot of people are talking about, you know, what parts, what tasks can they actually replace? What chores can they replace from a team perspective? I had it look at both Claude Code and OpenCLaw. So you can see it talks about the strains. It talks about for, for each one, it talks about the runtime, the interface, the browser scheduling memory. And so with OpenCLAW, you can see there's persistent memory. And then this one's per session memory plus memory.md scheduling. You kind of built in cron jobs and then you have full Chrome automation and you can run it in Telegram. And it's always on, you know, Claude Code is good for thinking, analyzing, and writing. And then OpenCLAW is good for acting, clicking, and browsing. So they both have their strengths. Because I was thinking about this, I was like, okay, I'm using OpenCLAW right now. I'm using Claude Code. Do I need both? And they both are stronger together. And that's why you got the response earlier where it's like, okay, maybe 60% of the work can be done individually for each of these. Okay. Okay, so check this out. If we're talking about, so, so my ad agency Single Grain, let's look at an example here. So SEO director plus 2 writers. So that might cost you $20,000 a month in the United States. If you use Claude Code alone, it's saying you can do 90% of the work. So write the content, analyzing Google Search Console, Google Analytics, identifying decay, but it can't publish to WordPress. Okay. So there's a limitation there. Now, if you want to open Claude alone, it can browse Google Search Console and publish to WordPress, but shallow analysis, poor content quality. Now, now I think this last part's debatable because I've had it write some, some things for me today. And the content was actually pretty good. And so I think it just depends on, on how you go about prompting it. And that being said, my back background, me as the prompter, my background is in SEO. So I'm probably going to be better at prompting around that. But look at this, when you combine it together, 98%. So OpenCLAW alone can only do 30% of the job. And then the Claude Code says 90%. Okay. When you combine their powers, 98%. So Claude Code can write production-grade content. OpenCLAW publishes to WordPress, updates internal links, subject submits to Google Search Console. You don't really need to submit to Google Search Console, but I get the point. Fully hands-free pipeline. Okay, cool. So let's move down the list over here. So this one, it's saying Cloud Code can do most of the work, but as you come down the list, let's say we move over to like an ad platform manager. Okay. So for Cloud Code, so ad platform manager, maybe you're paying them, you know, $8,000 a month or something like that for someone that has, you know, a little more experience. Now Cloud Code can only write the copy and strategy only. And it has zero platform access, at least for right now. You can give it MCPs and things like that, but we don't need to go into that right now. But it's saying OpenCLaw can navigate Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn UI. Create campaigns, adjust budgets. So, but if you combine them together, Cloud Code can handle more detailed planning and strategy, right? So bid strategy, audience analysis, write all the creative, and then OpenClock can implement everything in platform weekly optimization cycles running autonomously. So you can have these cron jobs, these chronological jobs running. And so, okay, that's cool. Let's do one more just for fun. So this one, this one's kind of a pain in the butt right now for me, you know, social media manager. So, you know, maybe you're paying $5,000 a month for someone, but Claude Code can write all the content for you. It can't post anywhere. Okay. Unless you do some, you know, some, some weird MCP stuff with it, right? You can certainly kind of hack it together to do that. And then OpenCLAW can log into LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and post scheduling via browser. Content quality is mediocre. Now that's debatable. You can, you can obviously work with OpenCLAW more to make it, make it better and better over time. But at least for right now, you know, it's saying if you combine the powers, right, you have Claude Code. I, again, I do think Claude Code is better for planning and researching and kind of going back and forth because it literally has a planning skill and you can go in detail with it, right? And it actually thinks for a very long time. Whereas OpenCLAW, whatever I ask, it just kind of spits it out immediately, right? Which, you know, sometimes I do want something to take more time. And so when I use the planning feature inside of Claude Code, there's also ask user question tool that you can invoke whenever you want to say, hey, use the ask user question tool to plan with me. And then you'll plan back and forth. And that way, because the more time you spend planning, the better results you're going to get. And sometimes you want to do that, right? Especially with content that you're going to publish out there. And so OpenClaw will post to LinkedIn, Twitter, it'll schedule using your social media scheduler. You can use an API if you want. So 95%. So this one I agree with, right? So you can see that there's just a lot of different roles over here that you can play around with, but when you combine the powers, it can do the vast majority of the job. Customer success. You kind of need to talk to customers more depending on the job that you're doing. So look, if we do the math over here, okay, so the math is look, 60%, you know, roughly give or take if you're having Claude Code or OpenCLaw solo, but then if you combine them, okay, 95%. Well, what do you do with that? We'll get to that in a second, but here's the math for you. Okay. So if you do Claude Code alone, you get 6 of 9 partially in terms of the roles covered and then monthly headcount replaced in terms of your costs are $40,000 to $74,000. Annual savings, $480,000. And monthly costs that you're running using Claude Code, you maybe are paying $500, $800 a month or so. So your return on investment doing this math is 50 to 1. So that's just Claude Code alone. Now the key gap here is it can't act in browsers, at least right now. Okay. Open Claude alone, you can do 5 of 9 jobs partially. And headcount replaced is $28,000 to $74,000. And again, you can, obviously you don't have to replace the headcount. You can just think about. You know, what are the chores? What are the tasks? And then have those offloaded and have your best people, you know, moving on to things that are higher leverage, right? So annual savings here, $336,000, $200 to $500 a month for API costs. And then you get a $41,000 here. The key gap is I can't think deeply. And so I do agree. I'm again, like when I'm working with my OpenCLAW on Telegram, it's just, it's moving really quickly. I'm going to show you in a second the things that I'm able to do in there. And I'm going to show you some cool dashboards I created too, just so you can get a sense of how it works. Because this is me working in Claude code. And I will say that this type of planning that you see on the screen right now, this tabling and all that, it wouldn't be nearly as detailed or also even easy to read because chat is very fleeting, right? When you're using Telegram or Discord or WhatsApp or something like that. Now look, when you combine the powers of OpenClaw and Claude Code alone, you get 9 of 9. Okay. So all the roles, the roles are covered here. So now you're placing $67K to $74K of, you know, headcount costs. And that's per month, right? And so when you look at this, the monthly cost of this, $800 to $1,300. So you're getting a 60 to 1 here. So the key gap here is almost none. And I would argue that the ROI can probably be a lot higher than this. So use your imagination here. And obviously this is why we work with Cloud Code and we kind of, you know, spitball back and forth on just, you know, pining this through, right? And when you look at this, you can see, so what changes with Combine? When you combine their powers, the single biggest unlock is the the think-act loop. So you have Claude Code be the brain, which I like, and you have OpenClaw be the hands. That's the execution layer for you. Because a lot of these things are already really smart, right? Even, even Codex is very smart. For example, you can have it analyze Google Search Console data and then publish optimized pages to WordPress, write ad copy, create campaigns in Google Ads UI, draft outreach, send LinkedIn connections. So I literally have it, have my OpenClaw using our product ClickFlow to run, to create content on the SEO side right now, whether it's bulk content or just production-grade content, single shots. And you can use, you can draft outreach and things like that too. So there's a lot that you can do here and you can even have OpenClaw working autonomously, but I just wanted to show you the math here to show you that yes, in fact, we are getting to a point now. It's only been a couple of weeks in with OpenClaw and PlusCloud Code combined where it's gotten a lot better. And we're already seeing people like This Week in Startups with Jason Calacanis. He's having his team. workshop this. I'm one of his main podcast editors. Like, in about 4 weeks or so, I'm gonna replace 60% of my job. Those tasks are gonna be offloaded to the bot, the OpenCLaw bot that they have. Okay? So that's why I think it's really important to, if you're a leader in any capacity, or even if you're in your career right now, you gotta learn this stuff right now. I don't care like what it is, like find the time to do this. Otherwise, you're gonna find yourself playing catch up. You're gonna find yourself being way behind in a world that's accelerating so quickly where the train has left already. Like the train's already like 10 stops ahead, right? You got to do what you can to catch up. So that's what I would say. So look, without OpenClaw, I produce deliverables, someone still needs to execute. That's the annoying part. Why are we still doing all these annoying tasks? We shouldn't be. Okay. So that is the math on this. Now let me, let me bump over to what I'm doing inside of OpenClaw right now. All right. So this is my bot Alfred. And within Alfred, you can see there's a couple of things that I have going right now. So I literally had to build a dashboard. Check this out over here. So this dashboard, it shows all the cool things that we're working on right now. So this is my mission control. And so you can see the different agents that I have. And you can see here's the Oracle team, the pipeline team, our mission queue, morning digest. So this is like a Kanban board where you can drag things along. And by the way, how long does this take me to do? I literally took 2 screenshots of Kanban boards that I like with this mission control stuff online with people using it for OpenClaw. I gave it like a, hey, audit everything that we're doing right now. And I want you to make a mission control. And it literally created this dashboard. How crazy is this? So I can see, you know, the approval rate of things that we're working on, the cron jobs that are running right now, the agents that are active, the time that we're in right now. Guess what? Like, I'll say like, this was actually a, this was actually a deal that the team was working on. So I approved this deal today that we're getting. So these are things that it will actually go through our HubSpot. It'll go through our sales calls. It'll go through all the stuff that we have. They'll say, hey, your team said that you guys would follow up with this person a few months later, and you haven't done that yet. And here's the, here's the outreach message. Do you want me to send it for you? And this thing can do the whole thing for you end to end. And so if every day these opportunities are getting surfaced to you, how much money is that going to make you? Right. So I will say that I use OpenClaw to set this up, but Claude Code actually put together the reach out for this, the idea. But I reached out to someone that I was connected to at a multi-trillion dollar company and that deal, that person responded, we got on a call the next day. And then a few things are in the works right now. Right. And we're, we're. That's led to a couple in-person things. We'll just leave it at that. So, and again, multi-trillion dollar company. Check this out over here. Context retention system. You know, these vectors that you're building. Eric rejected these YouTube ideas over here. So this thing will get better over time. And the whole idea is that you continue, as you continue to plan more with Claude Code being the brain and then Open Claude, you're just kind of testing, making sure these things are working. Then you can start to roll this out to your team too. Because the whole idea here is you can add them to your Telegram. You can make a Discord channel. You can have them working in tandem, right? You can add it to your Slack channel too if you want. But what I'm getting at here is Alfred's my chief of staff for OpenClaw, and it's going to be guiding all these other ones to make sure that they're getting things done. And this was interesting. Like, I guess INT means intelligence and SPC means specialist. I don't even know what this means. I need to get into this dashboard, right? The problem with the OpenClaw, for example, is that it's really easy and in ClogCode, it's easy to forget what you're working on. And what my problem was that I start to forget. I'm like, I start to rebuild the same stuff or I start to overlap them. I might have a new idea and then maybe later I start building it again and I'm like, oh, maybe that idea wasn't such a good one, but now they're in 2 different spots. Right. And so it's really important to build a mission control like this and then kind of go from there. Right. And so these recurring mission queues that we have right now, I would say are helpful. This Oracle team, by the way. This is the SEO team. And so this is the actual team over here. Like I got a little excited over there, right? That you have a lead coordinator, you have a keyword analyst, a content strategist, content creator, performance analyst, link building, technical SEO. Okay guys, what about AEO? What about SEO? What about YouTube? What about Reddit? What about all these other things that we need to be considering? So this is where I'm hoping I'm going to get it to a point where these things are just constantly talking to each other in their own Slack or Discord channel, and they're, they're kind of improving on each other. That's what we're ultimately trying to get to. And I think this is, this is now a lot more helpful to me. And in fact, this is the first time I'm seeing this along with you. Okay. So crazy to me that I hadn't even seen this yet and I had the guts to actually show you this in the middle of a video. Okay. So I'm going to continue on over here. So I had asked earlier today, I was like, we were designing exactly what I was talking about where I want these things to be able to talk to each other. And so yeah, what's not built yet, they think you're describing agents don't talk to each other, no agent channel. The gap right now, every agent talks to Eric, nobody talks to each other. Your insights, right? They should be debating in a shared channel, reaching conclusions, and only escalating decisions to you. How to build it in 3 levels. Agent roundtable, easiest this week. It shares the output file after all 8 morning agents finish, reads all their outputs and synthesizes. Oracle says this, they say this. Here's 1 message to send you instead of 5. Okay, great. We have the agent squad group. Okay. Start level 1. Okay, great. So. I'll just say, let's begin level 1, right? And then it just starts working. And I could say, by the way, because I have Opus 4.6 on this now, I can have it spin up agents in parallel. If I want to have it create 10 or 20 different documents at once, I can have it do it in here. You can also have Claude Code do that as well. But the key thing to remember here is that Claude Code, again, is your brain and OpenClaw, these are your hands to get things done and you need both in my mind to make sure that you're planning accordingly. And just keep in mind, like the workflow to use this to, just to give you some tips here would be one, when I'm using OpenClaw, I'm using it on Telegram on my desktop or on my phone. When I'm using Claude Code, I'm using the Claude app and I'm also just, there's a code section for that. And then when I'm on my computer, I'm using Cursor, plus I have Claude Code open within it. So then I can open up files within it and all that. I can have other sections where I'm calling on data. So it is my command center. Actually, maybe I'll just show you my Cursor from a command center standpoint. I'll show you the, how Claude Cowork can actually do a lot of this work for you, which is actually just a version of Claude Code. But then again, you got to combine, you got to tie in everything together because a lot of people right now are like, oh, I have Claude Code already. I'm good to go. And I assure you, you are not good to go. Because of where this stuff is going. So hey, quick break. If you're looking to work at an AI-forward company, we are hiring at Single Grain. So Single Grain, we are a tech-enabled marketing services company, and our mission is to be the marketing partner that B2B companies never outgrow. The way we're looking at things right now is we are going hard on tools like Claude Code, and we have different products, Carrot and ClickFlow. And our mission is to hire the best possible people who are very AI for it, who love to nerd out on marketing and who want to go into this future. And so it's not going to be an easy thing, but you can check out our careers page by clicking this button over here, or just go to singlebrain.com/careers and we'll see you on the other side. So this is, this is Cursor, and I'm not saying you can use any IDE you want. I've heard good things about Codex, the new version that came out with OpenAI. But you can use Cursor and I have Claude Code running in the middle over here. You can see I'm able to call on my data on the right side. Like if I'm, if I want to ask about specific data or cross-pollinating data sources such as HubSpot. And Gong, like my CRM and my sales intelligence, just sales calls. I can do that, right? And I can, I can find really interesting insights there. So I have that on the right side where I can just ask new chat stuff. Here is my brain. This is Claude. I can use it to plan things. And I have a lot in the, I have a lot of, it has a lot of context on my goals. Same thing with OpenClaw. And then over here, I can open up, you know, the .md files that it outputs and I can edit it within here. And then this is my file structure, my folder structure on the left side. So this kind of. On my desktop or on my laptop, this is kind of my command center. And then the other thing I want to call out is this is Claude Cowork. Okay. So this is cool. And I'm going to show you one of the leads that we had. So last, I've been doing these live streams. And by the way, you should check out the live streams I'm doing every single week on, I'm just live streaming just how I'm working with AI for business in general, business and marketing. And so we did a webinar last week and I just said, hey, Claude Cowork, I literally dictated this out. I said, hey, here's a list of enriched webinar registrants, and I want you to figure out, you know, we have these 3 offers. We have ClickFlow, we have Single Grain, we have Carrot. So these 3 different offers, show me, you know, who looks qualified to work with the, you know, any of these offers and what the angle is potentially. Okay. So I'm just going to show you this one example over here. So Tim Peters from Guideline. So it says, okay, he's a CMO and VP of Demand Generation at Guideline. Guideline is an AI service company providing enterprise automation consulting solutions. And then he's the CMO VP of Demand Gen. He's ready. So he registered for a webinar about AI revenue systems. He's actually looking for a way to apply AI to growth. SG's tech-enabled approach is exactly what he's looking for, right? We can see his email over here. We can see his location. We can see the LinkedIn and the website. It even drafts the message for me and it does the angle. Okay. Hey Tim, thanks for registering for the new revenue— for the revenue systems webinar. As CMO at Guideline, you probably saw a lot of parallels in what I showed, especially the part about building agent Powered marketing pipelines. We're doing this exactly for SaaS companies at your stage. We'd love to compare notes on what you're building on the demand gen side. Quick call. So I might edit this a little bit, but the whole idea is this has gotten it there, maybe 80, 90% there. And I can see for the offer fit, 9 out of 10 for single rate. Okay. Reason, CMO at 160-person AI company, perfect buyer, perfect company size, perfect vertical. Okay, fine. Carrot AI company CMO would immediately get Carrot's AI-powered ABM value. And then AI SaaS company with demand gen focus needs SEO testing to optimize content. So I would refine these a little bit because these offers are a little different than what it's describing here, but I wanted this thing to give me reasoning. And so the whole idea here is that Cloud Cowork can, can, can do this for you. And I, by the way, I didn't even ask it to make this dashboard. It just did. And I'm like, okay, well, I'm lazy. Can you just do this for me in terms of the outreach? And bear in mind, whether you're using Cloud Cowork, which actually can do the outreach, I think, because there's connectors, Manus can do it for you as well, which is now owned by Meta. And then you can even have OpenCLAW do it too. But in this case, like I'm just dumping this in here. So, you know, Claude Code and Claude Cowork are kind of hand in hand. It's your brain. And so you can get like a cool output like this. Then I would try to figure out, okay, take a screenshot of this, move it over to OpenCLAW. How can I have this done automatically? How can I spin up a team member to just do this automatically every single week and just have it on autopilot and then just have it where the manager can at least, you know, trust but verify. Okay. So check this out, watch. So I'm like, I'm lazy. Can you just do this for me in terms of outreach? Which leads do you want me to send outreach to? Top plus high only, 18 leads, all 39. I'm just going to go top plus high only. Okay. And then, you know, draft in Gmail, cause I don't want to just YOLO right now. Okay. So the whole idea here is it can do it. Okay. Cause it's, I know it's already hooked in with my, my Gmail. And, you know, the draft messages are already here and I can, you know, I would, I would recommend it. Like if you're starting to do this, don't just let it move autonomously. I would just make sure that you're customizing a little more of the draft message because this draft message is like 80 to 90% there. We still need to tweak it a little more, but the point is it's working. Okay. So, and it actually opened up another window. I'm not going to open this other window just because I don't want to show any sensitive information, but look, if I hit allow for this website, it's going to start to move. And I need to make sure that it's also working on the right email address too. So I have to repeat what is going on right now with hiring. Layoffs are at an all-time high, or not an all-time high, but a 17-year high. You have software companies, their valuations are getting pummeled. Largest, the largest tech companies out there are no longer as aggressive with hiring. In fact, they are laying off people. Well, why is that happening exactly? It's because of stuff like this. This is one of the reasons, right? It's not all because of this, but if one person can now do the work of 10 people or even 100 people using the Claude codes of the world, using the OpenCLaws of the world. And you can see now the math that was given to you in the beginning of this video. That means it is time to hustle. You got to hustle. Okay. So if you want to get started on this stuff right now, I would highly recommend just going to X. Okay. Going to opening up Grok, which is their LLM, and then asking who are the best people to learn Claude code from? Who are the best people to then learn OpenCLaw from? And then just tweaking and making sure that you're just testing, right? Because you're going to learn the most by doing. Um, I would say OpenCLAW is a little more advanced and there are security vulnerabilities with it. There's a lot of setup things that I, that I needed to consider. And I actually have a couple of X articles on this. I would also say that Claude, if you first start learning Claude, that's good. You start learning Claude Cowork, that's kind of the next level up. And it is using Claude code in the background. Then if you, if you graduate, you start using Claude code and you don't need to learn how to code because I don't know how to code, right? And then eventually just, you're going to learn how to use the command line interface, which is a CLI. And then eventually you're going to move over to OpenCLAW and this stuff is just going to get better and better over time. But I do think if you jump in on it right now, you're going to have a significant advantage. So I would say this, that's how you get started. If you enjoyed this video, you should check out my next one over here on the right way to use OpenCLAW, because a lot of people are not using it right. You should check it out over here and we'll see you in that video.
