OpenClaw's New "Business Mode" Is INSANE

Eric Siu spent $7,500 on Claude API tokens and generated $500,000 in realized savings across sales, finance, product, and content. He built an agent fleet including an "Alfred" agent for coaching video packaging and developer support, plus a unified data system powering multiple AI models like OpenClaw and NemoClaw.

Last month I spent $7,500 on Claude API tokens. These are not in subscriptions. This is actual token usage. And most people see that number and be like, are you stupid? That's insane. Why would you ever spend that much money? And I see it and I think about how it's the best money that we've ever spent because this is $7,500 that has helped on the sales side, coordinated decisions strategically across the entire company, replaced work that would have cost us 10 times that in headcount. Not only that, it found $500,000 in savings that I actually ended up realizing because I cut those costs in the next 3 days after finding them. So in fact, I got that ROI immediately and I'm going to tell you about the ROI that we got back as a business and how you can think about this for yourself. So I'm going to give you some examples of what $7,500 for this actually buys. So here, when we have our leads come in, this is a multibillion-dollar company that reached out. So everybody on the sales team gets a lead dossier saying, hey, this company, here's the company size, here's their growth rate, here's their expansion potential, here's what they're looking for, here's how we see them growing, here's what to watch out for, here are the key decision makers. And then also, here are some other triggers in terms of what they're doing. In terms of angles, we should maybe help them with programmatic SEO, localized content for international markets, aggressive growth targets, single brain to optimize paid media efficiency across 40+ new locations. So now what happens is our salespeople are way more prepared when they come into these meetings and they have different angles to attack and they know much more about the company. And what happens after as well is it will listen to the call, it will update this, and it'll also follow up with the person too. It'll also update the CRM. And so you have a lot of this manual work that used to be handled by one, let's say, business development representative. Now that that work is all being taken off, so now they can focus on higher leverage tasks. So your return on job displacement should be really high because again, you're having humans focus on doing human things. This is just one example. Let me give you one more. I use it as a coach for my people as well. So Jan, who helps us with YouTube videos, I was looking at his packaging and I wanted Alfred, my chief of staff bot, to give feedback on these videos and based— and also use a YouTube API to look at who's doing well in the AI space. So it's looking at who's doing well in the AI space, where they're eating your lunch over here. You know, Nate Hurk, Alex Finn, I think they all do a great job. Matthew Berman over here. And so here's the thing, these people are getting way more views. What's happening over here? Where are you differentiated? Where are they not? A revenue business angle, which I think separates me and what the data says you should do. Double down on the business revenue angle. It's your only differentiated lane. How I use AI to run this company. Stop competing on cloud code tutorials. Interview format. You already have a network. Use it. Titles are too generic. Oh my God. Did you see this new OpenCLAW strategy? Reads like every other AI channel. Your strongest performer. Everyone's using OpenCLAW wrong. And a specific contrarian angle. Then you can see here, Jan tries to say, wouldn't you say we should keep their formats because it's so— it's recognizable? We can catch their attention because of different title and words in the thumbnail. Half agree, half pushback. So different title and words alone won't close the 10 to 50x view gap. The issue isn't copy, it's positioning. When Nate titles 18 Claude token hacks in 18 minutes, and Eric titles how to make OpenCLAW 20x more powerful. It looked like the same video. Anyway, all that to say is it handles coaching over here, and I went back and forth with it, and it gave Jan feedback on, on his videos over here in terms of the packaging. And you can see here's a 4 out of 10, here's a 3 out of 10, the other one's a 7 out of 10. So all that to say is he's getting this feedback. It's up to him if he wants to take this or not, but this also removes any emotion. If it feels like I'm giving the feedback and it feels like, oh my God, it's the boss giving the feedback, well, now you have a robot that's doing it. And I actually agree with all this feedback over here. And so this has a lot of range Ultimately, in terms of my spend, so it's going towards helping with cutting costs on the financial standpoint. It's helping on the sales side. It's helping coach my team too. It also on Fridays, it just asks people, "Hey, what have you actually automated this week with AI?" And then it looks at who's actually doing things that are high leverage, and then it tries to help those people. And also the people that might be falling behind a little bit, it'll also help. It'll try to help those people too. Or it'll also say like, "Hey, this person hasn't been filling this out for a while," and maybe send a message to the manager, right? All that to say is it's all here to help the company get better, and that's how you got to justify. Because if you're spending look, if you're spending a dollar and you're gonna get ten million dollars back, of course you do that all day, right? So if you want the ROI, let's Look at this, $7,500 in spend, $500 grand. That is a 66 times return. And I bet you I got a lot more than that because of all the other stuff that you're seeing over here. So it helps us create products. By the way, let's just move over to the product side. If you want an AI-native marketing firm, look no further than Single Grain. Most people right now working in the Stone Age, not us. When we think about using agents to supercharge our work in terms of pumping out higher quality content creative at scale, whether it's on the ad creative side or on the AEO side, that is exactly what we do when it comes to being proactive, thinking ahead, using the latest products to help us be more efficient. So we can work on human things and we can offload the robot things to robots. That's exactly what we do. Go to singlegrain.com to learn more and we'll see you on the other side. So I just mentioned it helps me with social media, it helps me with content coaching. Okay. It helps me with sales. It helps me with finance as well. It also helps with products. So earlier today I was sharing this with our architect and I said, hey, this seems like it might enhance what we're doing with the Zapier SDK or no. Permissioning is big for us. So with Single Grain, which is the agents that we have that we're doing for clients right now, where we have these, this unified intelligence, these revenue agents that are helping our customers. Well, sometimes I'll find some good things and I'll find it on X and then I'll I'll share it over here with Sean. He's like, oh my God, this is great. And then we get things moving this way. And by the way, if your devs need access to different tooling or maybe they're stuck in certain areas or maybe they need more context on what you've built, they can just simply talk to my, my bot Alfred over here and Alfred is going to hook them up. And so in my mind, this is a no-brainer. And in my mind right now, I'm trying to figure out how do I get this into the hands of my people? So if I didn't spend the $7,500, I wouldn't have known how important this was to get into the hands of my people. So this $7,500 is spent. Let me just put it this way. If you look over here in month 1, it's going to be terrible. You're going to have broken automations, stuff's going to hallucinate, stuff's not going to work, memory is going to be forgotten. You're going to have to reset the gateway. It is a pain in the butt. But if you can get through that, if you can sit through the suck, you're going to get to month 2. And what's going to happen is you're going to start to see things start to work. The agents are getting better. The agents are starting to remember better. You're going to know the right upgrades to add to your agents as well. And for us, we use OpenClaw, we use NemoClaw, we use Hermes. And then from there, you can, you can see the flywheel really start to work in month 3 because you're understanding how to use this technology better. The technology is better understanding you. And then you have this whole single brain that you have All of your data sources that you're willing to integrate into the single brain. This single brain will give your agents, your agent fleet, more information, and then your team can query this information and these agents can help your team execute on tasks. They can do data pulls, they can strategize, and you now have an organization. Not only are you 100x, your entire organization is 100x. You're also going to be able to see the people that don't want to adopt this as well. So you can either help coach them up, or in this case, sometimes you might need to have a tough conversation, right? Like, who knows? But the whole idea here is that you get to the point a lot faster as an organization. And that's why to me that $7,500 is well spent. Now you might be saying, well, Eric, I can do all this and just run it on open models? You can. Here's the thing. If you are spending the $7,500 I spent on frontier models, okay, so frontier means these tokens are the best of the best at the moment. Now, that might be more expensive, but I'm probably going to get to the result much more often than not a lot faster versus if you run it on a cheaper model or if you run it on a free model. If it takes me a day to get something done with frontier models and it costs me more, but it takes me, I don't know, a week to get something done using cheaper model or using something that's free like an open source model, it's not worth the time. The trade-off is not worth it, right? And I've tried it. Like, I have devices here. We have great devices. And we have open source models that we use. It's just not that close yet. It will get a lot closer. But if I can get the best intelligence, I should probably want to buy the best intelligence. It's just like think about hiring. You want to hire the best people for the job, right? And so maybe 15 to 20% of my spend in the future should go towards frontier models, whereas 80% might just be for open source or maybe cheaper models. That's how I look at it. But right now, as I'm learning, I might as well just burn it right now and learn how it works. And then now that I'm completely AI pilled, I am willing to optimize. Look at this as I paid the toll right now in terms of paying for the best intelligence and figuring out where I want to go from there. I think that lesson's worth it. And look, if you want to get a 66x return just like I did, you know, you maybe don't want to spend $7,500, that's fine. Again, there are very good open source models that you can use right now. There's Gemma 4, there is KIMI 2.5, right? There's GLM. Whenever you're listening to this, I mean, these are all out there. There's Quinn that you can use as well. So you can definitely use them and you can see, you can experience the CLAWs. Okay, so you can use the OpenCLAW, you can use NemoCLAW if you're running this for customers or you're running this, you want something more secure for your team. You can run Manus for yourself as a general agent. There's no setup required there. You can run Perplexity Computer, you can run You know, Claude code routines. You can run Claude co-work. There's a lot of things you can do. You just need to get started right now. And so, you know, if you watch this video and like, oh, like I will never spend $7,500 on this, well, you're kind of just defeating yourself, right? You need to be using these tools right now. You need to be understanding how to use these things right now because not learning how to use them is putting yourself and your company at a significant disadvantage. So if you enjoy this, you should check out this next video over here on why OpenClaw plus Hermes are my best marketers.
