Paid ads are dead. All right, I'm kind of kidding. They're not dead, but ad targeting basically is. Google and Meta already know what people click on, search for, and buy. You could do any manual targeting to find your customers, but you're not going to do better than them and their AI systems. When you overcomplicate targeting, you actually make it harder for the algorithm to do its job. So here's what actually works. Number 1, you want to keep your target audience broad. Don't go deeper than age and location and let the algorithm hunt for your buyers. Number 2, focus on your messaging. You want to A/B test different hooks, body copy, and call to actions to find the winning elements your audience resonates with the most. Huge plus if you use storytelling. Number 3, track metrics and fix the bottlenecks. For example, if your click-through rate is high but lead conversion is low, you probably need to fix your landing page, like improving the headline, adding more value to your lead magnet, or adding testimonials.
