A podcaster traded 500,000 ad impressions with Jordan Harbinger Show and gained 100,000 downloads plus a $700-800k business deal. The growth came from being active in the podcasting community and making content people actually want to hear.
One thing we do for our podcast to grow it is we use impression trades. There's a podcast called the Jordan Harbinger Show. They get about 6 million downloads a month. We get about 2 million. So we said, hey Jordan, we'll trade you 500,000 impressions. Basically, he will do an ad read and it'll show to 500,000 people, and then we'll do the same thing. That actually grew our monthly downloads by about 5% or so. 5% on a couple million is actually not that bad. Because I was doing a podcast, one person stopped me. He's like, oh, podcast guy, right? Even know my name. And so, podcast guy, great. That led to a deal that basically paid us about $700,000 or $800,000. And that's just from being a part of the community, participating, but also from content, right? So it's really hard to attribute what it is, but as long as you keep putting value into the world, as long as you're participating in community, and then eventually you build a community, you're gonna be unstoppable, right?
