Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and U.S. generals have ditched PowerPoint because slides waste meeting time. The speaker watched ten minutes spent reading a slide that took thirty seconds to read alone, arguing that distributing material beforehand lets people absorb it faster.
You want to know why Elon, Jeff Bezos, and US generals ban PowerPoints from meetings? Because they're a waste of time. You go over useless crap that could be sent in advance and then people can just review it. I don't mean to keep rambling here, but I went through a PowerPoint presentation this morning and on the meeting people were trying to read crap on the slide that I can read myself faster, and it's taking them like 10 minutes to go over something I'm reading in, no joke, 30 seconds.
