Eric Siu and two other speakers argue that storytelling is the most important trait for entrepreneurs. They say it enables vision, influence, and momentum, and recommend the book Storyworthy as essential for founders who want to authentically share their ideas.
There's actually a really good book on how to tell stories because most people suck at telling stories called Storyworthy. Like, you told a really good story, like the passion came out and like it just flowed out of you, right? You didn't need to like plan all this stuff out.
I would say that actually that is the number one most important trait for any entrepreneur is to be a good storyteller. Because if you are a good storyteller, you can make things happen. You can create things for yourself and your company and your people around you. And if you can tell those stories and it comes out of you as part of your DNA, it's part of the truth of who you are, you're unstoppable.
That's exactly what I believe in as well. I'm like, wow, I resonate so, so much with that. Actually, my wife, she always calls me out. She's like, you're full of fluff because all you do is just tell stories. And I'm like, it's a skill. It's like literally being able to paint a vision out there that people don't see. As you share the story, people can start adding color to this story of yours.
