All right, so today we are going to talk about 5 rules for ads that convert. That's advertising that converts. But before we begin, my name is Eric Siu and I'm here to help you level up. And if you like to level up, don't forget to rate, review, subscribe on any platform that you are on. So let's talk about this. Number 1, the headline. The first thing that you see. Ogilvy, David Ogilvy, advertising genius, advertising godfather. He says, Basically, when you write your headline, 80 cents of your dollar is already spent, because people read the headline. It's gotta be short, it's gotta be succinct, people gotta understand what it is, that's what draws people in. If you look at our YouTube channel, the one, the videos that perform the best, those are the ones that have a good headline. The same thing with our podcast too, if you look at the ones that have a good headline, if I look at the numbers, those tend to perform better than the other ones, 'cause it draws people to click, and it starts to get more engagement, that's how these platforms help you in the long run. Now, number 2, number 2 is your benefits. Because when you start with benefits, What is your product going to do for them? Is it going to help them get rid of acne, for example, right? That's helping them solve a problem, it's gonna make them more confident. Get rid of acne, that's one thing, but it makes them more confident. That's a benefit that you're providing people. Like, you're making people more confident, that's worth something, okay? Number 3 is looking at the features. So, with a camera, for example, these are the lens. We're using these, you know, XRP 10,000, whatever, you know, these types of lens. These are the features. Or maybe there's a Retina screen. There's all these different features that you can put in there, and the techie people like that stuff. It's important to have that in there. Now, number 4 is to provide your solution. You gotta talk about your solution too. So you got your headline, you got benefits, you got features, you gotta talk about your solution too. What is your solution in the first place? What are you providing? So what I like to think about is when you're writing an ad, you gotta take people from becoming unaware, to problem aware, to solution aware, to your solution aware, to having a deal, right? You take them through the entire process. So people don't know that they have a problem, then they're aware of the problem, and then all of a sudden they see a solution, they know there's a solution, then they see your solution, and then you take them to a deal. All right, and the 5th rule is a thumbnail. Or when you think about it, when you're doing image ads or you're doing video ads, you gotta have a good thumbnail, 'cause when you're running ads on these advertising platforms like Facebook or YouTube, for example, or Google, you gotta have a thumbnail that's enticing for people to click. Some are more image-based than the others. Instagram's more image-based than the others. Facebook, you got a big, what is it, 1200 by 628. There's a lot of these dimensions, right? You gotta play natively, you gotta post natively to these platforms, you can't just be lazy about it. So those are just 5 rules to help your ads convert better. I'm curious to get your thoughts in the comments, whatever platform you're on, let us know what you think of these rules or other rules that you might add. And don't forget to check out the next clip, and we'll see you tomorrow.
