Eric Siu breaks down how to build AI bots that actually work. Define your ideal customer first, set safety limits, then generate four candidate outputs and measure them at 7, 14, 30, and 60 days. Automate only after you've questioned, deleted, and simplified the process.

Working bot needs an ICP. It needs safety limits, output caps, and evals, right? Don't want to just say, go make more content, go make more high quality content. You want to say create 4 candidates for approval based on our writer guidelines, based on content spikes from the content ingester, and then measure them after 7, 14, 30, and 60 days. And if you like the output, then you can just make that into a routine that repeats every week. I think the problem right now is they just try to automate out the gate. You like Elon or not to use the Elon algorithm, whenever you are building something. Because of AI, you would want to automate immediately. Nope. You don't want to do that. There's 5 points here. First step is you want to question the requirement. You want to delete steps from the process. Then you want to simplify. Then you speed up. And only then do you automate.
