Eric Siu argues that building your own business beats investing in SaaS, angel deals, or real estate. You get control and domain expertise. Early-stage businesses can see triple-digit growth, and the compounding works in your favor.

You also want to think about your business being the best engine for your financial growth. I've talked to a lot of my friends about this and it's like, oh yeah, you know, maybe I should go invest my cash flows into these other businesses over here. They have better multiples, these SaaS companies. Or maybe I should do angel investing here. Maybe I should go invest into, you know, the Magnificent 7, or I should invest in real estate. But talk to all my friends who've done this for a while and we look at the returns and the best returns have always been from your own business. Because you have the most control at the end of the day and you have the most control, you have the most influence and you know the space really well. You've been compounding in the space for a very long time. And so who better than you than to grow this thing at 10, 20, 30, 40% a year, right? I'm not saying that can happen forever, but at least in the very beginning, in the very beginning you might have like triple digit growth.
