In this instructional video, Eric Siu shares a concise set of actionable Google Ads (formerly AdWords) tactics designed to help marketers and business owners boost their online performance. He begins by highlighting Gmail ads as an under‑utilized format that resonates well with senior audiences. He then explains how to set up retargeting campaigns tied to Google Analytics data—such as targeting visitors who spent more than three minutes on a specific page—using YouTube to tell a story or employing broader retargeting. Siu moves on to Google call tracking, recommending the use of CallRail to capture keyword‑level phone call data for richer insights. He stresses the importance of YouTube advertising, noting that YouTube is the world’s second‑largest search engine and that many avoid video creation, creating an opportunity for advertisers. He also covers responsive ads that automatically adapt to screen sizes, shopping ads for e‑commerce, and Google’s in‑store ad options. Finally, he mentions Waze ads as an additional channel within Google’s ecosystem. The video ends with a call‑to‑action for viewers to comment on how they’ll apply these “power‑ups,” subscribe, and stay tuned for more daily content.

In this video, I'm gonna give you some Google AdWords tricks to level up your business. My name is Eric Siu. I co-host the Marketing School Podcast with my co-host Neil Patel, and that's every single day. And I host the Growth Everywhere Podcast where I interview world-class entrepreneurs every single week. So the first thing you can do with Google is you can run Gmail ads. For example, a lot of people don't really pay attention to Gmail ads, but there are a lot of people opening Gmail ads, especially if you're targeting a a more senior audience, Gmail ads actually work. Second thing you can do is you can run retargeting ads that are tied in with your Google Analytics. So for example, if you have a site that has 100,000 visits a month and you want to target people that have spent time on your site for over 3 minutes or so on a specific page, you can do that with YouTube. You can run a retargeting sequence and tell a story that way. You can also do general retargeting ads too, but just make— you can actually do this across the board. People tend to kind of neglect it. I'm not telling you anything new here. I'm just reminding you that retargeting ads actually work. Third thing is you can use Google call tracking too. So with Google call tracking, you can see what keywords people are calling on and you can get all kinds of rich data. And if you want to take it one step further, you can use a call tracking tool like CallRail and CallRail will give you even more data that you can follow up on and that's going to help you. Don't forget about YouTube advertising. It is the number 2 search engine in the world. A lot of people think, oh man, videos are so hard to make. There's a barrier to entry, it takes so much time, I'm so scared, I'm not good on camera. Great, that's why most people aren't doing video. That's why this is your opportunity to do video. I'm doing video, I might even retarget you after you watch this video. You can also run responsive ads too. Responsive ads are ads that you can kind of, well, they adjust with the screen. You can also run shopping ads as well. E-commerce sites run shopping ads all the time, and Google has in-store ads too. There's just a lot of different ads you can run. Guess what? Google also bought Waze, that's W-A-Z-E, for over $1 billion. You can also run Waze ads as well. Google owns it. I don't know if it's in the Google AdWords platform, but that's just something else because it falls in the Google ecosystem. So, if you enjoyed the power-ups that you got from this video, I wanna know what you're gonna do with them to actually level up in the comments below.
