The importance of work-life balance as an entrepreneur.

I look at all my friends that— founder friends that end up having kids, and then everything just changes afterwards. Your perspective is like, work is no longer number one.

It's true. It took me a little bit longer to get that perspective shift. The catalyst was sitting on Christmas. My daughter was like, wanted to play with my wife. And my wife was like, why don't you go play with, you know, Daddy? And she's like, Daddy just likes to work. He doesn't like to play. And I was like, oh, is that how she thinks of me? Yeah, it was like after that, like, I was kind of wrecked for like a week. I was like, man, I need to fix that. I think maybe I was blind to that. Up until that point. And hearing her say that was like a knife to the chest. And that was like, this is not good. Having the kid, for some people, it can be immediate. Others, if you have a soul or a heart, you start seeing how your influence, your time, your impact, the impact it has on the kid. And you either want to change it or you, or you don't. But yeah, for me, I did. I did want to change. Yeah.
