Eric Siu on the isolation of running a company: you can't show weakness to your team, you have to keep pushing even when exhausted, and you're always responsible for the vision. The loneliness of it hits different when everyone's looking to you to stay steady.
Here's the problem with being a CEO, right? Like, if you're super angry, you can't show it. You have to be like an even keel all the time. And even if you think the company is about to like implode or something like that, you still have to keep a straight face, right? Because the moment people think that like your mind is screwed up, they're all screwed up, right? So you got to keep it going no matter what. You have to be leading by example all the time. You got to push the pace no matter what. Every single day, you got to drive the vision forward. And as exhausting as it is, too bad. That's your job. And it's hard. But it is what it is.
