You want to fire people quickly and you want to give them warnings quickly, right? Like once you see something's off, ideally just nip it in the bud and say, hey, like when you did this over here, this doesn't quite align with our values here of being improvement obsessed or being reliable. And you just blame it on the values, right? And then after it happens like 2 or 3 times, just, you know, you want to send an email to people and just say, hey, like, you know, we saw this and that. That way you have a paper trail of what's going on. And you know, if you need to make a move, then you can make a move quickly, right? But what would be the worst is if you let this person sit around for 6 months, 8 months hoping that they'll get better, but they're just the same over and over, because ultimately not only are you going to have to cover the slack, your team's going to have to cover the slack, and they're going to be unhappy about that.
