Today we're gonna talk about the top 7 marketing careers for this year and beyond. So LinkedIn actually did a study of the top marketing careers and they actually have a ton of data to work with because of, well, they've got hundreds of millions of users, right? And they're also owned by Microsoft, so it's not so bad. You know that Microsoft is a well-run company. This is gonna go from number 1 through number 5. This is actually from LinkedIn. Number 6 and number 7, those are going to be from trends that I've, I've been seeing. And if you stay till the very end, I'm actually gonna give you a bonus one. So a bonus one after the 7th one. Number 1, as from LinkedIn, the most popular one is a social media manager. And this makes a lot of sense. You're watching this on social right now, and marketing 101 is basically looking to where your audience is hanging out and then bringing people to the point of sale. So right now, a lot of the attention is on these social media platforms, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, whatever it is exactly, right? Bottom line is a lot of these companies need to be able to hire people that understand these platforms and know how to maximize reach. That's what people are looking for. Number 2 is you need a marketing strategist. So people often get strategies and tactics confused. Strategy is the thinking piece of it. Tactics is actually the doing piece. Those 2 go hand in hand, but you have to have someone that's creative. You have to have someone that understands, someone that reads quite a bit, someone that understands the industry or understands what needs to be done. And then they will come up with the playbook, the roadmap to attack. And then the people that are executing, they will follow that roadmap and then, well, you'll reach your goal. Number 3, number 3 is actually a marketing manager. And what that means is there are a lot of moving parts when it comes to marketing in general, and you need someone that's going to make sure the trains are running on time. So that's why you need a marketing manager to help manage all the moving pieces. Don't forget to hit the like and the subscribe button because it helps us grow, helps the YouTube algorithm as well. So help us grow as well. Number 4 is you need a specialist. So number 4, what that means is earlier we talked about social media manager. That is actually someone that's specializing, especially in someone that's in a channel. In marketing, there's a lot of different disciplines. There are a lot of different channels out there. You have SEO, you have paid media, you have analytics, you have content marketing. Video editing could be another one because that's kind of part of marketing as well, but it's also creative. There are a lot of different disciplines. And so for a larger company, they usually will need a specialist that can help get the job done. And for a smaller company, they need more of a generalist. So it just depends on the size of the Number 5 is last on the LinkedIn list is you need a product marketing manager. When you think about software as an example, let's use Google. Google not only has search, they have Google Maps, they have Google My Business, they have Google Ads, they have a handful of other different products in there. And for each of these products, there's a product manager, and that product manager is the CEO of the product. But you also need a product marketing manager, which is basically the de facto kind of CMO for that specific product. Product, right? So you need product marketing managers. You also need product managers as well. And obviously we live in a world where technology is just going to continue to rise. We're going to see more and more software, we're going to see more and more solutions pop up. So there's going to need to be more product marketing managers in general. Number 6 is you need a short-form video editor. So a lot of people are taking their videos, they need people to repurpose videos for short-form such as Reels, such as TikTok. The, the organic reach is great on those. So that's why you need short-form video editors. Maybe I'll make a video Uh, that, by the way, drop a comment below if you'd like me to cover that, perhaps on how to hire short-form video editors or whatever topic that you'd like to see me cover next, or could be a role that you think I might've missed. Just drop a comment below. Let me know what you think. I'm curious. Number 7 is a data analyst. Data analysts, these are people that can help with the reporting. They're gonna analyze a lot of the data that you have, and then they can come up with actionable insights. That's what's gonna help drive strategy. I mentioned strategy a little earlier. Strategy then will drive the actions that you end up taking at the end of the day. So data is the new oil. People often like to say that. Number 8, this is the bonus one is a creative and also a creative lead. 'Cause when you think about the X factor of marketing nowadays is actually creative and it's data, right? So you have to have creatives that can help with ad creative, with landing page creative, or your content creative as well. Ideally you have a creative lead that is driving a lot of this strategy. This person also knows how to hire great people that can also help execute as well. That's where you're gonna build the most leverage at the end of the day.
