Relationships shift daily: some days one partner gives 90%, the other 10%. Insisting on constant 50/50 splits is unrealistic and leaves the relationship short of what it needs. Flexibility matters more than rigid equality.

And that's why I hate when partners say we're 50/50 partners. It's never 50/50. Some days it's 90/10, some days it's 70/30. But if you want to be 50/50 all the time, you're going to come to a day where your partner can't give 50, and then you don't have 100, and that's bad.
