Eric Siu explains why YouTube Shorts outperform regular videos, using Justin Kan as an example. Creators can repurpose longer content into 15-60 second Shorts to get 150k-200k views instead of 10k-50k.
of the co-founders of Twitch, Justin Kan. His normal videos do pretty well, anywhere from 10,000 to 50,000 views or so. But his Shorts, they're getting like 150,000 to 200,000 views. Massive, massive difference, right? It could be like a 4 to 10x type difference. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Because whenever a new feature is launched by any of these big platforms, everyone, uh, they tend to favor it. If you can take the original content you have and chop it up and then, or actually edit it and to make it a 15 to 60 second video, I think you've got a great video that you can convert into a Short.
