Eric Siu explores what would happen if Apple entered the NFT market. Apple's market cap dwarfs most of tech and crypto combined, so even a small NFT push could reshape the entire industry. Apple typically adopts technologies late but executes them better than anyone else.
have Apple and then you have Microsoft, right? And so, um, I think they're $2 trillion each or so. Um, but if you combine all the unicorns in the world and you combine the entire market cap of crypto, it still doesn't add up to these 2 companies. So that just shows how much of a gap there is right now and how much room there is to grow. And it's not a zero-sum game. I think the pie expands, but that's some food for thought.
Well, I mean, and what will more likely happen is some of them will survive and some of them won't, but like Imagine what happens when Apple introduces NFTs, because now they've introduced a whole level of ownership. Now people can buy and sell their apps on their iPhone and their assets, and they're taking a piece of all of that. Generally, in my experience, Apple comes to the party late, but they come to the party best.
Yep.
They're the last ones to have smartphones, last ones to do anything, but it's so well done. It's so elegant.
