This is a YouTube video titled "3 reasons hiring an infertility mentor saves you time and money" (posted Oct 15, 2021). It is a solo talk by Erica Hoke, an infertility mentor and empowerment coach, in which she outlines three ways mentoring can save clients time and money: (1) maximizing productivity during mandatory waiting periods, (2) advocating for earlier diagnostic testing and second opinions to avoid repeated miscarriages or costly failed IVF procedures, and (3) supporting the body via diet, toxin reduction, and supplements to improve outcomes. She also notes that medical providers often lack training in lifestyle and supplement interventions and closes with a YouTube like/subscribe call-to-action and her live schedule.

Hello, hello, how is everyone doing today? Thanks for joining me. I am Erica Hoke. I'm an infertility mentor, which we're gonna talk about in just a minute, an infertility mentor and an empowerment coach. So we're talking about 3 ways that I can help you today, and my technology is fighting with me, so sorry that I'm a few minutes late. We are talking about today a few reasons why hiring an infertility mentor or coach— and I prefer the term mentor, I'll tell you why in just a second— it's gonna save you not only time but money. So I consider myself a mentor because the definition according to the Webster's Dictionary of a mentor is an experienced or trusted advisor, whereas a coach is a specialized trainer. So we all know how babies are made, so I can't I can't coach you in that, but I do consider myself a mentor and a trusted advisor for going with you hand in hand through your infertility journey. And so what is some of the— what does that look like? Um, what are some of the ways that I can actually help you from my experience save time and money? So there's a lot of hurry up and wait during the infertility process where, you know, you are either waiting on your cycle. You're waiting on your cycle not to happen for 6 months, or for things to be different for 6 months or a year, you know, come back and see us. And so what can we do in the meantime? So those are the things that we focus on during those waiting periods where you've been told, hey, we really are not going to give you a referral for an infertility specialist or anything else until you have gone 6 months. What can you be doing in the meantime? What is going to help, help you if the end result of that 6-month or year-long wait is going to be that nothing has changed, you've just wasted 6 months? So we're going to help maximize your time during your delay. Okay, so I often hear this, this is something, this is like one of the things that I feel like is the worst thing things that a doctor could say to a woman going through infertility because they're not really processing what they're saying. So I often hear this said from a doctor to a patient that, well, we can't really test you for X, Y, or Z, or we're not going to test you for X, Y, or Z until after your third or fourth or fifth miscarriage. That means that that doctor is willing to allow you to go through the pain and suffering of losing a child. So after your— I'm not going to sugarcoat this— after your third, fourth, or fifth baby dies, then we'll look into if it could be this. That's not acceptable. I don't know any woman that would sign up for that or would agree to that, but when we don't get second opinions, when we don't move on to a doctor who's willing to do those testings up front. We're, we're complying, right? So there, I've also heard this. Listen to this one. So, um, oh well, this procedure, this test failed, so maybe we'll go ahead and test you for X, Y, and Z now. Well, the test, the procedure that failed was a $30,000 IVF treatment. Or some other very costly procedure that then fails, that then after the fact the doctors come back and say, well, we could test you for this to see if, you know, this is wrong. Well, you're— there's no refunds in that, and you've got the pain of a procedure that's failed. So that's problematic also and upsetting and trauma and, and all the things. So I'm going to put in front of you tests to get tested for before those procedures happen so that you can maximize your chances of a positive outcome. Okay, so this also, number 3 of my best tips, is going to be, we're going to be supporting your body. Any stage during the process, there are things that you can do to support your body so that your procedures go well, so that during the waiting time that you're maximizing your chances of conception. And so all of those things are going to be maximized, and we're going to cover those sort of things. So again, that is going to, um, it's going to reduce time and it's going to reduce money. So, uh, if you're supporting your body and you're also going along, uh, reproductive endocrinology or medically, uh, assisted reproduction, we want to maximize your chances. We don't want to just ignore the fact that your body might be screaming for, um, some other things. So, um, and just to answer the question that might be in your head, um, is my doctor going to look out for those things? No, your doctor is not going to look out for things like diet, toxins, supplements. They get very little training. You can ask them very direct questions about this. They will tell you if they are honest that they are not trained in this area. So these are the things that, um, I mentor you through. So that you get the best possible outcome for your investment. It's a lot of money, um, and, and people are glad to do it because they want the outcome of a baby, but let's maximize what we have going on for you guys. Okay, happy Friday.
