Getting Pregnant-your MIND matters

This content was created by Erica Hoke. This content was uploaded by Erica Hoke. This is a YouTube talk titled "Getting Pregnant-your MIND matters" (posted 2021-08-28). It is a solo speaker presentation about infertility and the role of mindset/frequency and emotions in fertility. The speaker explains a high/low emotional frequency scale (e.g., love, joy, peace vs. guilt, shame, grief), discusses how negative emotions can affect the infertility journey, and offers practical coping strategies such as gratitude practices, grounding (walking barefoot in nature), dietary/toxin reduction, therapy/journaling, and use of essential oils. The presenter notes that one-third of infertility is male-factor, promotes a Facebook group called "Fertility Empowered," and invites viewers to join, follow upcoming live sessions, and subscribe for more content. Happy Friday. I'm gonna come on today and talk to you about something that you're probably seeing around a lot lately. You can hardly go into any store that sells clothing for women without seeing the high vibing message all around. So what does that even mean? Like, we're all running around with, you know, good vibes only, high vibes, but what does that mean in terms of pregnancy? And why does that matter? Why does your mindset matter when it comes to getting pregnant? So I think that we all also know someone who either went through infertility and a few different scenarios either happened. They either gave up their infertility journey and then became pregnant, or they adopted and then became pregnant. Um, different scenarios like that. And if you're on the infertility journey, just Raise your hand if somebody, comment below, raise your hand or give me some hearts or likes if you're watching on Facebook, if you've heard that and you want to punch somebody in the face. I mean, really, no pregnant woman wants to hear, "Well, if you would just relax, if you would just not think about it, then you'll get pregnant." But it's annoying and based on what I'm going to tell you today, it might not be that far out there. Let's, let's take a look at like why that is. So what we're talking about is frequency. When we're talking about high vibes, good vibes, positive vibes, that all is in relation to frequency. So MIT did some studies, it's been a few years now, on the vibrational frequency of certain emotions. So that's really what we're talking about today. We're talking about the emotions that come along with an infertility journey. Okay, so let's just tie this into some science so we don't feel like we're gonna float away. This is all scientifically based, you can go and Google it. But also, like, you know that your heartbeat is an electrical current, you know that you have electrical current, um, in your brain, and all that is measurable frequency. So, so many women myself included, when you're going through infertility, the feelings that you are processing and that you're going through, and if you are watching because you have a friend or a family member that has infertility and you're trying to understand how to help and support them, the feelings that they're going through are really low on that frequency meter. We'll talk a little bit about that in just a minute, but feelings like shame, which is the lowest frequency feeling, hopelessness, anger, sadness, grief on a monthly basis, on a rotating basis, right? And so we're gonna talk about coping strategies to deal with those emotions and why that matters. But basically all this, all these, this bundle of emotions, of negative emotions and feelings associated with not being able to get pregnant, feeling worthless as a woman, feeling like our bodies are not doing the job that it was meant to, meant to do, feeling very alone in the process and carrying a lot of the burden. By the way, just putting this out here as a side note, A third of infertility is male factor infertility, just saying. But women, we tend to carry the burden of that, right? So, um, let's talk about what the top end emotions are in terms of frequency, and let's talk about the, the bottom end and why what I'm doing with women and empowering them impacts the meeting point of that. Okay, so top emotions are— and I'm not going to go into this, but I do have this coming to my guide section as a training in my group, um, Infertility Empowered. So if you want in there, I drop the, um, the link in this video. So hop on over there. Okay, top, top emotions: enlightenment, Peace, joy, love. Okay, reason. Now we're getting down into, um, the breaking point. Acceptance, willingness, neutrality, and courage. Courage is the break line. Okay, courage is the break line between positive and negative. The beginning of the negative downward scale is pride, anger, desire, fear, grief, apathy, guilt, and shame. So those last 4 are a space that infertile women and couples live in on a rotating schedule every month, you know, that the cycle doesn't produce a pregnancy. So grief and apathy, guilt and shame. So I'm not telling you to 'Just fix your mind and you'll get pregnant.' It's not about that. It's about how your body is— everything works together in your body. And so we can't— if you really want real healing in the process and in the journey, you can't discount the power of dealing with your emotions in a positive way and trying to help yourself in whatever way is possible. Okay, so what does that look like? So how do we artificially, um, support our frequency or increase our frequency? Okay, the, the number one thing that you can do to support your frequency of your mind and help your body come into a better balance, right? Um, everything's connected, is gratitude. So that is a really hard thing to do, but Some of the things that I teach, I intrinsically attached myself to. Um, I just gravitated towards them. So the way that that looked for me is I was grateful when I got my cycle and not a pregnancy, that I was getting a cycle because some women do not get cycles regularly. I was grateful that my body was functioning in that capacity. I was grateful that I had one, that I was one step closer to getting pregnant. Okay, so another way that you can help support your frequency is grounding. And what that is, is simply just walking barefoot in the grass or going for a nature walk, immersing yourself. Nothing like hoodoo voodoo, literally just being in nature. And grounding, preferably if you can take off your shoes and socks and walk in the grass. I know that that's really weird for some people for whatever reason, but that really does help. Um, you are what you eat, so eliminating toxins is super important, as well as eating high vibrational frequency foods. So if we are what we eat and we're eating a lot of good rich antioxidant foods and vegetables and clean meats and things like that, clean water, and eliminating things like tobacco and alcohol and prescription medicine as much as possible, then we're going to naturally raise our body's frequency and help that along in that way. So you could also, you know, deal with your emotions in the form of therapy writing your thoughts out in a journal form and that sort of thing. So, by the way, essential oils are also really great for artificially increasing your frequency, as they have their own frequency themselves. So when you apply them, they actually uptake into your whole body within 20 minutes, uh, every cell. So that's something that you can do as well. So So again, these are all science-proven ways that frequency interacts with your body and ways that you can change your frequency. And the reason that we are doing that, again, is that we are trying to incorporate a positive mindset and move up in the, in the emotional scale. So I almost forgot, this is like a really cool thing. Okay, so we're in Fertility Empowered, right, over on Facebook, my group that I, um, admin over there. So the first thing, the breaking point, um, between the positive and negative emotions is courage. And I was talking to a friend the other day, and we were talking about just the hopelessness that, you know, um, diagnosis of unexplained infertility brings, and even just having a doctor tell you that they can't help you. And she said, well, were you ever hopeless? And I said, you know, I didn't have the words for it at the time, but I, I know now that I did not receive that message. I refused to believe that what the doctors were telling me was my reality. And I went to work healing myself. So that courage and that empowerment is what we are over in our group doing. Okay. So that moves up scale to neutrality, but confidence. So I'm here to give you confidence in what you're saying to your doctors, that you can have some things in your control, right? What you put in your body is certainly in your— inside your control. Testing that you can take, charge up, is certainly in your control. Okay, so the next up skill emotion is willingness, and willingness is all tied to that courage and that acceptance. So, and then above that is the acceptance and then reason. So the knowledge and the education is key. And you know what comes after that? Love. Okay. So I want you to feel empowered. I don't want one single woman to ever walk out of a doctor's office and feel hopeless because they tell her that they can't help her. Not that she can't get pregnant. They tell her she can't get pregnant, but that they can't help her. That's how I want her to feel. I want her to feel, um, and I want you to feel if you're on that journey, empowered and courageous, and I'm here to educate you and help you along the way. All right, well, have a fantastic weekend. I will see you here Monday at noon Eastern Standard Time. Hey, if you're watching on YouTube, go ahead and hit that like and subscribe button for more content. See you next week.
