Hello everybody, happy Friday to you. If you're not sure, um, if you stumbled across this live video and you don't know who I am, I'm Erica Hoke. I'm an infertility coach and empowerment coach, and I want to talk to you today about, um, something that can be really personal, um, to you, to me, to many people, and that is trauma and If you have watched my channel at all, you know that I struggled to get pregnant with all of my 4 boys. And part of the piece of healing my body and healing my mind in order to get pregnant was, was, sorry, was healing some past trauma. So I had experienced some trauma as a child. And, uh, through my, um, early adolescence. And I really felt like it played a, uh, a big role in my infertility journey. And healing that through, uh, various different means like talk therapy and, um, some Reiki sessions and things like that, um, were able to help me move past that. So why is it that past trauma could be preventing you from getting pregnant? Sorry, I'm like all over the place today. Why is that, that past trauma could prevent you from getting pregnant? Well, it's a few different things. So, you know, trauma, when it's not resolved, is stored somewhere in your body. Many, many times that is your liver. And so if you've been on here before, you know that Your liver is kind of the governor of your hormones along with your kidneys and things like that. That's a very traditional Chinese medicine principle. And so a lot of that emotion stored in your body is stored in the liver. So that can contribute to, to your hormones being unbalanced. Also, it causes, you know, that unresolved trauma can cause continual cortisol spikes and cortisol and adrenal dysregulation in your body, which can affect your hormones. And I wanted to share with you my book here, Infertility Success. The author, I'm sorry, the doctor that wrote the foreword for that is a doctor, fertility, infertility doctor out of South Africa. And let me just read this quote to you. Um, he says, it's Dr. Steven Wolniczek, and he says, if the vessel is not whole and complete in every aspect, then it cannot leave the harbor to travel the ocean of infertility management successfully. This is an infertility doctor, you guys. They're very quickly learning that this is also comes into play. Therefore, do not just focus on the medical procedures in a doctor's office or fertility clinic. Clinic, for these procedures alone will not bring success. Focus on everything, both internally and externally. Fix what needs fixing physically and emotionally, and gain strength in failure, and never give up, for beyond the horizon lies ultimate success, joy, and happiness. Wow, I can't talk. But to have, uh, infertility doctor recognize um, through his years of practice that patients that have unresolved trauma, um, have a harder time all the way around, whether it's procedurals, failed procedurals, or just coping with infertility. So, um, those are the reasons why, and I have lots of tools to help you, um, to help you manage that. Of course, I'm not a licensed practitioner, but I can give you a like, and I'm not a licensed counselor, but you can find one of those on your own. And I give you tools from the infertility world that can help you navigate like the 2-week wait. So, um, we have a group of women just like yourself who, um, who are, are searching for the key, the missing link to their infertility journey and why they have this diagnosis of unexplained infertility. Explained infertility. I dropped that link below. It's a group called Infertility Success Community Chat, um, named after my book here. And I'm here Monday, Wednesday, Friday at noon Eastern Standard Time. I hope that you have a fantastic weekend. Health and blessings to you. Bye-bye.
