Hey, um, I am here to talk to you about all things infertility related and how they are connected body, mind, and spirit. If you don't know me, I'm Erica Hoke. I am the infertile mom of 4, all bio babies of my own. And, um, I overcame infertility through a lot of different methods and I'm here to help you do the same thing. So what we're talking about today is one key phrase that can really help you in so many situations, change your mindset, and move forward on your path to getting the answers that you're looking for on your infertility journey. So let me just tell you, um, it's really interesting. I was having a conversation with a friend the other day, and a lot of the things that I am, am giving you in terms of resources in terms of trainings, in terms of courses, things like that are things that really helped me, but I didn't necessarily have the words then that I do today to label them or to identify the reasons behind them like I do today, um, or, you know, why they worked. So one of the things, um, that I think is so important because so many women going through infertility Everybody has an impedient, right? You have your doctors, um, that are going to tell you what your chances are. They're going to tell you what your odds are. You have family members and complete strangers telling you that because you have already— if you're suffering from secondary infertility, well, you already have X amount of kids, so just be happy with that. Or you already have, um, you know, you're 40 years old already, why in the world Do you think that you can have a child? Or it's too late for you. Any of those things, one simple phrase can just stop all of that negativity in your tracks. And the person that I was speaking to asked me, she said, did you lose hope? Were you hopeless when you were going through your infertility journey? And I thought about it for a second, and I certainly did go through a lot of hopelessness, as we all do. I went through periods of despair, not just hopelessness, but despair. And, but I said to her, I said, you know, I didn't have the words for it at the time, but I basically said what I know to be true today, the phrase of, I do not receive that. I refused to receive a diagnosis that my body was incapable of carrying a child. I strongly believe that the desire to get pregnant and specifically carry my, my child was a God-given thing. And so I just refused to take that doctor's diagnosis or doctors because it was a lot of second opinions, third opinions, and things like that. So I want you to commit this to memory because you're going to need it. People have a lot of opinions and it's so helpful. And what you're doing is you're guarding, you're protecting your mental space and your emotional space. So you do not have to receive, um, whether it has to do with infertility or not. Let's be honest, like people are full of opinions these days and there's a lot of, um, standards of theirs that they want to apply to us. So you can just say, I do not receive that. Likewise, receive the things that you want to receive and say to them, when someone pays you a compliment, don't just push that off and don't just reject that. Say, thank you, I receive that. I feel like it's such a helpful thing. I'm teaching it to my kids as well. So in the description of this video, you know, it talks about the Bible a little bit. And there is scripture that says, I'm no theologian, but life and death is in the power of the tongue. Let me see if I can— life and death is in the power of the tongue. So it's a very powerful thing to speak words negatively or positively over someone. So not only can we do a good job of protecting our space, but we can also protect what comes out of our own mouths and what we speak over other people as well, right? So these are the kind of things that I'm touching on. We talked about the quantum physics aspect of visualization last week on my Friday video. We're talking about all these things, not just in an echo chamber of isolation, not affecting your, your body as well, but collectively as a whole, things that can help you move forward on your infertility journey. So The link is in the comments for, um, Infertility Empowered. That's my group that I admin where we just go through things like this. I'm doing a live training next Friday. That's September 3rd at 3:00 PM. I just decided that right then and there. Um, I'm doing that at 3:00 PM and it's going to be an hour-long mindset training and it's free. So if you have someone that is suffering from infertility, that need some mental and emotional support, this would be a great place and community for them to come in, um, be able to share, um, what they're going through and get some resources. So thank you. And hey, if you're watching on YouTube and you like this con— con— content— sorry, not comment, but you can comment below.
