So I saw a post the other day, you guys, that I wanted to get on here and talk to you about because I have not been able to stop thinking about it. And it was 2 days ago. So it was when in an infertility group that I'm a part of, and the person was basically talking about some recommendations that were being made to take certain supplements to detox chemicals out of your life. To help improve your infertility, your fertility and your infertility. And they were pushing back against it saying that it wasn't a cure-all, you know, for infertility and that they were really tired of people recommending it and that they were really tired of people acting like it was a cure-all and that sort of thing. And so what I want to say about that is, um, a lot of people need the hope that they have control over their fertility and their infertility. Um, there are so many people out there that are being told the lie that if Western medicine can't help you conceive a baby, you can't be helped. And that's simply in most cases, a lot of cases, let's just say that. I'm not a doctor, I'm not here to heal, prescribe, treat, diagnose, cure, nothing. But there are a lot of things that you could do to help yourself. So if you don't know me, I'm Erica Hoke. I'm an infertility mentor and health and wellness coach. If you're watching on Facebook, or if you'd like to find me on Facebook, you could search my first and last name. Go ahead and hit that subscribe button, that like button. And that bell so that you get notification when I go live next time. But let's talk about this for a minute. Okay, let's talk about what the reality of, of making dietary changes, making toxin-free living changes, and just improving your overall health, right? So the end goal is to get a baby. But along the way, it would be great if we could be happier and healthier. Wouldn't you agree? I mean, if we can't control the end outcome, how about we better ourselves along the way? So this person was kicking back against the supplement thing, which I totally understand because I don't think that people really can internalize how frustrating infertility is without having gone through it themselves. It's super, super frustrating. And a lot of people make dietary changes and a lot of people make supplement changes and they don't see the results as as fast as they want to see them. So what I would say to you is if that is you, if you are making those changes to your supplements, if you are making dietary changes, depending on what else is going on with you, you might give it a hot minute, okay? It might take a hot minute for it to take effect. Also supplements, if they are, if you're buying dollar store supplements, cheap supplements. Nothing against dollar store, I love dollar store, but not for supplements, y'all. Not for infertility, you know. Um, find some good quality supplements out there because regardless of whether it's supplements, whether it's food, whether it's what you're rubbing on your skin, whether it's what you're sleeping on, quality matters. Okay, I don't know why some people, um, it's— well, I have some ideas. Um, I mean, I don't know why so many people um, you know, think that that stuff doesn't matter, whether loaded with chemicals, dyes in the case of supplements, um, fake sugars in the case of supplements, all kinds of things. Um, and the thing that's supposed to be helping you, the thing that's supposed to be helping you that you're, um, kicking back against, you, you didn't spend any time researching if it was a good quality supplement. That being said, I have an awesome supplement seminar coming out pretty soon. And if you're interested in that or more information about how to choose a good quality supplement, just drop a comment below. So yeah, it's gonna tell you how to distinguish if it's a synthetic supplement, how to distinguish if it's a good quality supplement, which ones you should prioritize, because budget matters to everybody, y'all. You know, it really does. But we can't be taking poor quality supplements for a short amount of time, you know, and expecting a great positive outcome. We can't make short-term dietary changes, um, and, uh, and think that it's going to be a quick fix. So, um, this is not to blame infertility on you, your body, your choices, this is to empower you to get out there and take responsibility, not only for what you're putting in your body, what you're putting on your body, and doing the research too, because it's not just, so for me, my journey, right? So those dietary changes made a huge difference in my life. Those supplement changes made a huge difference in my reproductive. I did acupuncture twice a week for around 6 months and then we ended up conceiving after 2 years. So it's a different timeframe for everybody. I did not learn until after I had given birth to my last son that I had a quadruple mutation for MTHFR. But I was doing everything along the way that would have helped me had I known anyway. Do you know what I mean? So if you're not getting results from your supplements, if you're not getting results from your acupuncture, it A, might need a little bit more time. B, you might need to look into the quality of what you're doing. You might need to get another acupuncture practitioner. You might want to talk to them about their success rates with fertility acupuncture. You might just need to give it some more time. Okay, we can't go from shoveling, you know, fast food down our throats and rubbing our bodies in, you know, Bath Body Works, and 5 minutes later expect our body to respond in a positive way. It's going to take a little bit of time for your body to detox. So that's what I have to say today. Um, if you like my content and you want just more straight talk about infertility and the things that you can do to improve your infertility on your own, then just keep watching here. I'll catch you next time. Health and blessings to you guys. Bye-bye.
