This content was created by Erica Hoke. This content was uploaded by Erica Hoke. This is a YouTube video titled "What to do if IVF isn't an option?" (created 2022-02-03). The excerpt is a first-person monologue by a single speaker sharing their personal infertility journey (low AMH, low ovarian reserve, inability to retrieve eggs) and offering alternatives and hope for couples told they cannot get pregnant. The speaker discusses pursuing non-IVF approaches — traditional Chinese medicine, NaPro Technology (natural procreative technology), lifestyle and overall health optimization — and notes financial and religious reasons IVF may not be an option. They also reference a book project "Infertility Success Stories of Help and Hope for Your Journey" and invite viewers to related YouTube content, and mention a posting schedule (Mon/Wed/Fri at noon EST).

today. I'm happy to be back here, uh, talking to you. I had a few days off. If you can hear a difference in my voice, I'm still a little sniffly, but I'm happy to be here today. And the thing that I want to talk to you about is really important to me personally. It was really important to me on my journey, but I want you to understand that it could be potentially really you on your journey too. It's actually the main reason that I come on here and I talk to you about my journey is because I can't stand the thought of families, couples being told that the doctors can't help them and then them leaving that office feeling like because the doctors told them that they couldn't help them, that they can't get pregnant. Okay. Um, there are a lot of resources out there, and that's what we're talking about today. It's not true. Just because a doctor tells you that they can't help you does not mean that you can't get pregnant. So IVF was going to be my, my plan B. It was going to be my backup plan. I thought, if all else fails, I'll do IVF, because that's what everybody says to themselves, right? It's going to be expensive, it's going to be painful, but If I have to, I'll just do IVF until that was not an option for me. I had low AMH, I had low ovarian reserve. I was already hyperovulating, as is evidenced by my, my twins that were born second. I was already hyperovulating and they could not get enough. They couldn't get enough eggs for a retrieval. I didn't have enough eggs for them to do a retrieval. Now, I will say about my reproductive endocrinologist, bless him for not just going ahead ahead and doing a procedure that was doomed to fail just in the interest of lining his pockets. So bless him for that. Um, so, but what do you do? What do you do when you're out of options and your backup plan is not there anymore? So you might do what we did. What I did is I pursued anything and everything that affects your infertility, and there is so much. One of the things that you can do is you can go the path of traditional Chinese medicine. That is very helpful for a number of different things. So people are shocked to hear that traditional Chinese medicine can actually restore your cycle if you're not getting a regular cycle. It's something that, that's a very common thing to help with. So traditional Chinese medicine, can help with your cycle, it can help with your lining, lengthening the time of your luteal phase, it can help regulate your cycle. There's a lot of different things that it can assist with. So that's definitely a good place to start. The other thing is Napro Technology. Napro Technology is pretty new to me, But I didn't know until I went interviewing people for my book collaboration. By the way, if you haven't checked that out, that's Infertility Success Stories of Help and Hope for Your Journey. That's available on Amazon. So I have two authors on there. I interviewed them, Amber and Jennifer, and they both use NaPro technology because reproductive medical sciences is against their religion to manipulate, um, manipulate the reproductive process in that way. So IVF was not an option for them. It's the NAPRO technology, natural reproductive technology, is basically what that is, and it gets to the root source of the problem. It could be the answer that you're looking for. It certainly was for them. And again, if you want to check out their stories, Heather, um, or me, we're on YouTube. Go over to YouTube and check out the author chat. Um, but that was something that helped them tremendously. So, um, it's very possible that being told that you can't do IVF or not having IVF as an option to you, maybe for financial reasons. That's the third thing, right? Maybe IVF is not an option for financial reasons. Um, even though there's financing now, even though there's some people just are not willing to incur the $50,000 to $300,000 in debt that it could potentially take, um, to get to a baby. So what I started to say a moment ago was it might just be a blessing in disguise to be told that IVF is not an option for you. Because in all reality, IVF only is going to work for you if health is the overall goal. The pregnancy is the outcome of that overall goal. Okay. Um, even if you're doing IVF cycles, I strongly recommend that health is the priority. Um, and not just trying to, not just trying to do IVF and continue along your lifestyle and your path that you were continuing before, um, IVF and not addressing any of the things that could be causing the disruption in your reproductive cycle. Okay. So if IVF is not an option for you, there's still Plenty of options there. So, um, thanks for joining me today. Health and blessings to you guys. I will see you here Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at noon Eastern Standard Time. Bye-bye.
