You describe yourself as a geek, outdoorsman and a dad. Grounding traits in a high intensity career. What's something you've learned from parenting that surprisingly made you a better executive or board member?
I think it's really delegation for me. Try not to control outcomes, but really try to empower the team. Both my kids came out fiercely independent and, you know, wanting to get dad to fulfill whatever their whims are. And I was surprised by that. You know, I kind of expected dad to be in charge. The, the actual parenting experience for me for was anything but that. They saw, they saw dad as more their servant. And so obviously you have to have guardrails up to try to keep them in appropriate lanes. And I think you lead most of all by example. I can't tell my kids what to do, but hopefully I can show them what to do. And over time they'll, they'll follow that lead.
