Discover the Vibrant City of Rotterdam with Us: A Journey Full of Surprises!

The video is a first‑person travel vlog chronicling a day‑long adventure in Rotterdam and a quick side‑trip to Delft. The host, accompanied by his companion Nina, begins with a humorous, rambling pre‑flight banter before clearing immigration and heading into the city. They explore Rotterdam’s iconic Euromast tower, cross a wobbly bridge, and sample a variety of Dutch foods – from breakfast cereals and croissants to a hearty lunch of soup, a Dutch croquette, and chicken pita. The pair stops at the New Rotterdam Café, tries a blonde Dutch beer, and later visits a bustling shopping area. They take a short train ride to Delft, where they wander without a map, visit a Starbucks, a local bagel shop, and taste a Milka Oreo‑style chocolate bar. The vlog includes a reunion with former teammate Adis, who helped build the host’s website; they discuss his immigration story, share a traditional raw herring tasting, and enjoy Dutch waffles. After returning to the boat, the host leads a cardio workout while fielding audience questions, then wraps up with a late‑night dinner, dessert, and playful banter about towel animals. Throughout, the narrative is informal, peppered with jokes, repeated phrases, and affectionate references to Nina, creating a lively, personable travel diary.
Chapters
What? What did you say? Chup chup, pachup, pachup chup chup pachup. Oh, it's a deuce! What's up, man? If you have to vomit, it's straight or to the right? To the right! Over onto the people underneath. If we don't make it back, Nina, I love you. You're welcome. Good morning, good morning. Day 3. How's Nina feeling?
Good.
Nina had a huge sleep. Nina fell asleep sitting up, actually. Fell asleep sitting up and then woke up at 3 AM to brush her teeth and actually go to bed. We're heading off to Rotterdam today. We gotta go do our passport check for immigration and then get some food. You hungry, Nina?
Yeah, kinda.
Kind of? I'm so hungry I had chips this morning I was waiting to eat, but I wanna eat! Alright, immigration is done. We're officially safe to go to the Netherlands. Nina's at the library getting her daily sudoku. She likes her sudoku challenge. Did you finish the last one?
Yeah.
What was your time?
Uh, quick. Less than— under 5 minutes. Under 5 minutes?
Pretty good. I married a smarty pants. Good morning, Nina. We love you. Believe Nation loves you. Okay, let's see what Nina got. This is round 1 of her breakfast. Looking pretty good. Here's what I got. Healthy-ish. Not too bad. It's time to eat. Nina went for round 2. Eggs and toast and croissant and pancakes and— Nina! Where are you gonna put all that food? I got you pancakes. You got me pancakes?
Yeah, I got you one. I just gave— got you one.
It's okay, I'm going to have something else. Cereal. Nina has to eat all this. She looks little, but the stomach can handle a lot. All right, round 2 for me. I got some Froot Loops and some yogurt, and then I got some Mini Wheats for snacks if we need it after, cuz Nina's gonna get hungry.
I'm not gonna eat cereal.
I'm just joking. All right, we're getting off the boat. Nina's excited.
Yeah.
She's cold.
Yes.
She's full. Lots of food. Ready to walk it off. Rotterdam, here we go! You know how dogs bark in Holland?
I don't know.
Woef! Woef! Woef! That's how dogs bark in Holland. Woef! Tina, you go across the bridge first.
If I die.
That's a very sketchy looking bridge. Go, Nina, go! Oh, oh, oh, oh! She made it. Okay.
Scary.
It's a bouncing bridge. Oh, crap. Hit the ladder. All right, keep going. First stop is De Euromast, one of the tallest buildings in Rotterdam. We get some good shots of the city, hopefully. Oh, nice! Look at this. Here we are at the top. There's our boat way down there. You think this is pretty? You know what's prettier? Nina, you're supposed to let me say it. Nina's prettier, okay? Look at this. There's Rotterdam. You can go higher. We'll take more selfies at the top, Nina.
It's okay. I'm scared.
You're scared?
I can't look down. Oh my goodness.
Nina, don't look down.
Whoa!
Don't look down, Nina. You're almost there. All right. Is that it? Is that the top top?
I think so.
Let's keep going. What are we going into? What is this? Oh, we just sit.
Yeah. What?
Oh, it's going to take us higher.
Yeah.
Oh, this is cool. If we don't make it back, Nina, how about this? This is beautiful.
Yeah.
I don't often film in a men's bathroom, but I gotta show you this. This is a really cool tap. You put your hand in the middle for water and then on the sides for the drying. So if I put my hand in the middle here, you get water, and then over here Pretty cool, eh? How'd you like that hand dryer? What? You didn't do the dryer?
There's no dryer.
Yes, it's by the tap. Go to the tap.
Oh.
It's right next to the tap. It's on the tap. She figured it out. There she goes. There she goes. Pretty cool, eh?
Yeah, and the towel is cool too. They don't use paper towel, just roll it, pull it down.
I like the blow thing better. All right, let's go! Alright, next up we're going to grab some lunch at a famous café here called the NRC, the New Rotterdam Café. Make sure Nina doesn't get hangry and hopefully enjoy some good Dutch food. We found our spot. Nice bench, table, right on the edge of the street. Pretty cool place. Nina's looking very cute today. That's all I have to say. We love Nina. Believe Nation loves you, Nina. Comment below if you love Nina. I'm trying a blonde Dutch beer. I can't pronounce that. Gruwerij Noord. Oh man, my Dutch friends are going to kill me for that. Okay, Nina, try. See what you think.
Hmm, it's good.
Nice. Alright, our lunch has arrived and Nina's camera is out. We have soup of the day, whatever that is. It looks good. We have a croquette, Dutch croquette. Oh, that's pretty big actually. We could share that. And then I've got chicken in a pocket. Chicken pita hummus. Try the soup, Nina. Let us know, what do you think?
Good.
What's the flavor? Carrot?
Butter?
Buttersquash? Nice. Nina loves her soup. All right, done. How are you feeling?
Too full.
Too full?
I didn't eat much.
That was a pretty satisfying meal. That was a great beer. I enjoyed. Nice relaxing atmosphere.
Yeah.
Next we're going to head out to the vibrant shopping active area and then maybe if we have extra time catch a train to a little tiny town and come back. We'll see. Fingers crossed. Nina bought something.
I haven't bought anything. I have something I can buy.
What are you getting?
Eyelash glue.
Eyelash glue. I need some eyelash glue. Get some extensions. All right, we made it to the train station. We're going to a little city called Delft, which is considered a mini Amsterdam that's 15 minutes away from Rotterdam. So we're gonna go explore. I don't have a map of Delft, so we're just gonna walk out and explore, hopefully not get lost, and have some fun. Nina's excited. That's her excited face. Nina found something. Nina found a Starbucks. With the cup popcorn drink, I don't know if I'll have that one again. Nina's excited, she gets her Starbucks. We decided to stop for some coffee. The Starbucks we didn't go into, we might hit on the way back. And Nini's used the bathroom. So we're going to— can we see it? Bagels and Beans. There's a sign here, look. Look at the sign. It says, "The best coffee and bagels in town." If you write a sign about it, it must be true. So let's give it a shot. We're having a flat white cappuccino. Nina's taking a picture. It's a stronger cappuccino is what she said. Oh, the bells are ringing. It's behind you. Nina decided to pick up some Milka plus Oreo. Let's try it. What? What did you say? Chupa Chups? Are you that excited to try this new Oreo?
Oh, this is a chocolate bar.
A chocolate bar. Chupa Chupa Chups. All right, there you go. How is it? Oh, let's see the inside. And what do you think? Good. Does it taste like Oreo?
It tastes chocolate more, but it's a little bit of berries. Okay, let me try.
Oh my God, it's so creamy. I just took a big bite. It's so creamy. That's good stuff. Mmm. Milka Choco Choco Choco is approved. Don't eat the whole thing, Nina. Make sure you save some for your amazing husband.
What the heck?
There's nothing left in there.
What is this? Oh, you took a big bite. So sad.
So sad that's all that's left of the chicka chicka chicka. Mmm, we have to come back to— where are we again?
Delft.
Delft. Come back to Delft just to try them. For real.
Mmm.
Back to the train station. Get Nina her Starbucks and then head back to Rotterdam. Nina got a chamomile tea. I got my buttered caramel popcorn cappuccino. Cheers!
Hey!
This is good stuff. We need to bring this to Toronto. Alright, we are back on the train heading back to Rotterdam. We're going to go meet up with an old teammate of mine. Adis was one of the guys who built a good chunk of my website initially. He started off interning with me and then I hired him and then he moved back to Holland. So when he heard I was coming, he's like, "We gotta meet up." So we're heading back to Rotterdam and gonna go find him. Nina, have you met Adis?
No.
Have you met Adis? Okay, well Nina's gonna meet him too. And so we'll believe nations. It'll be fun. Alright, this is the building where we're going to meet Adis. He's not here yet, he's doing a tour. That's a huge marketplace inside he's doing a tour of. So when he comes out at 5, we're going to meet him. Alright, that crazy big building is where I'm gonna meet Adi, so we're gonna go in, see if I can find him. I'm excited!
Nina is very excited about this cupcake.
Nina's into the sweets.
No, that's interesting. Different.
Oh, Nina, chocolates. Chocolates, Nina. Okay, we're at a traditional herring shop where you have to eat raw herring like that. So Nina Nina, look above you, that kid, okay? That's what you have to do. Nina's gonna get it. Nina's gonna get that. I'm gonna go with the fried stuff. Okay, we've got whitefish and french fries. We've got some more whitefish. And we've got the raw fish. Okay, so this is the moment, okay? He's gonna demonstrate. This is a demonstration of how to eat it, Nina. One bite. Pay attention, Nina. There it is. Ready? Ah, come on. That was close. Two bites. Okay, Nina, this is it. Okay, if you have to vomit, it's straight or to the right? To the right. Over onto the people underneath. Go, go, go! Come on, Nina! How is it? How is it? Decent? Yeah, you're good. Good. All right, I like it. Try it. No, no. Okay, this is who we came to see. Adis. Adis, tell us about yourself.
About myself? Well, it's been, uh, a while since we met, I think it was in 2011.
Yeah.
We had fun times back in Toronto.
Enjoy.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And well, after many years we met finally in Holland, in Rotterdam. I want to say welcome in Holland.
How do you say welcome in Holland? In Dutch? Welcome. Welcome. It's really tough. Alright, and we're eating some traditional fish and chips.
It's called kipling?
Kipling.
Kipling.
Kipling. White fish. Nina finished her.
Mm-hmm.
It looks good, Nina. Good job. High five. Boom. We just finished eating.
Yeah.
Nina's full. Yeah. I'm full. But Adis insisted that we try the Dutch waffles. So he's gonna buy some and Nina's gonna eat all of it.
Yeah.
There he is. Buying us some Dutch waffles.
Dutch waffles.
Dutch waffles. The must-try.
Wanna try it?
This is it. Okay, Nina, go.
Oh, this is the Dutch waffle.
This is the Dutch waffle. And? Sweet?
Mm-hmm.
We just left Adis. He's sticking around to talk to a client. Adis was one of the first guys to work for me, and he, uh, I had to vouch for him to come to Canada. Before he could get to Canada on an internship, He had to have a company say that they're going to vouch for him and take responsibility for him. I had no idea who he was. We just had a Skype call. He had this super sketchy Skype photograph of himself. The call just worked out. I took a risk and said, "Okay, I'll vouch for this guy to come to Canada." If he— What?
Can't see your face.
Oh, well, I'm trying to get your face in. You know, if he came and did something dangerous, I would be on the hook for vouching for this guy. But I said, "You know, what the heck, let's take a risk. Let's say yes." And it worked out. And he worked for me for a couple years in Canada. And then he left and came back home to Holland to start his own business and met with two of his guys and he's doing well. And so, uh, it's great. He's getting married next year. It's awesome to see. So, bet on people. Take a risk sometimes. Needs to happen. Okay, we're going to head back to our boat. Get back on board before it leaves. And walk off the food. That was good, but it was a lot of food. We've had a lot of food. Didn't help that I had the ice cap just before too, or the frappuccino. Okay, let's go, go, go, go, go, go, go! Alright, we're back on the boat. Nina decided that we need to work out.
I'm going to cut it.
Did you just flex?
No.
You worked out and did like a bicep flex. There you go.
That's natural, you know.
That's natural. We gotta go work out. We're gonna see if we can do some weights and some cardio. Burn off some of this excess food. See how we do. How you gonna do, Nina? Nina's gonna do well. Alright, good. I believe it.
Weights done.
Now we're gonna do some cardio. I'm gonna answer some questions from you guys. Hopefully the internet is good enough. Let's go! This is the view I get doing my cardio. Pretty cool, eh? So when I do cardio, I always do Q&A with the audience. I'm on for about 45 minutes. I'm going to test out the internet connection here. See if I can get some questions in and get a workout in. Everybody wins.
Here we go!
Alright, workout is done. Good workout. I cramped out at about 300, just over 300 calories, but I got a good sweat on. Nina's still going though. Look at Nina hustling in the back. She's going for 450 calories.
Rockstar!
Look at Nina go. 452.
It's not right.
It's not right?
This thing is stupid.
It's even more? Are you stopping? How far are you going? How far are you pushing?
That's it.
You're done? Good job. High five. Boom.
You have to do 9 incline, 9.5 incline to get to 45 minutes or 450 calories.
You did well, Nima. Good job. All right, it's about 8:15 at night. We're going to, uh, oh yeah, the boat's left. Boat is moving slowly out. We are moving. We're gonna head back to the gym. No, we're not heading back to the gym. Back to our room, shower, and then go eat some food. Dinner time! We got a towel animal. What is that?
A rabbit.
A rabbit?
Bunny.
I was gonna say elephant, but yeah, elephants don't lie down like that.
Okay, sure.
Rabbit. Alright, had our shower. Look at that, new shirt. You could totally tell the difference. The difference. Nina, you can tell the difference there for sure. Nina's ready to eat a humongous dinner. She said she's not that hungry, and then we'll see what she orders. I'm predicting lots of food. We'll see. It's late too though. It's 8— it's almost 9 o'clock, something like that. It's a late dinner for us, but we had to work out. You know, I wanted to work out before going to eat, right?
All right.
Alright, let's eat, see what we got. Get some good food in our bellies. Starting off with some drinks. Cheers!
How is it? Decent?
Alright. Alright, dinner is done. We are stuffed. So we have to go check out the buffet and see what's next. What?
We're done but we're gonna check out the buffet.
Well, there's always room for dessert, right?
Yes, for you.
And Nina needs to see what new food there is. I'm really full. Tummy is bulging. It's 11 o'clock almost. This is a long dinner. All right, snack time! Those are fish fingers, Nina. And spring rolls. Nina, you're full, remember? Why don't you have a plate full of food? I discovered the ice cream machine. Very exciting. Mina's excited too. You gonna have some? No, just me?
Yeah.
All right.
I thought you're full.
I said there's always room for dessert.
Holy moly, a little bit on top, just a little bit on top. Okay, that syrup is probably way more calorie than the ice cream.
What did you go get? Show it off, let's see.
Okay, I got a wine and I got a drink.
What kind of drink is that?
Um, Rebelish Fish.
All right, that's how you're gonna close the night? With the food?
Maybe.
All right, sounds good to me.
Sonita passed out. It's about midnight right now. And I went to the bathroom to quickly record the final video message of the day for you guys. Thank you so much for watching. Wish Nina a happy sleep in the comments. Thank you for the love. We'll see you guys again next week. I believe in you. Hope you continue to believe, believe in yourself and whatever your one word is. Much love. Thank you guys again for watching, and I'll see you soon.
