In this monologue, Jordan Peterson argues that a liberal arts education remains a powerful foundation because it cultivates literacy and articulation—skills he deems the most potent form of personal power. He contends that the ability to communicate effectively is essential for advancing within any organization, serving functions such as negotiation, planning, strategy, persuasion, and rallying support. While acknowledging that liberal arts alone may lack specific technical training, he suggests that pairing it with targeted skill development maximizes one’s professional impact.
