"HUSTLE While You WAIT..." - #LifeWithEvan

In this day‑5 cruise vlog, Evan Carmichael and his partner Nina share a candid, behind‑the‑scenes look at life on a ship, their health hiccups, and how they stay productive while traveling. The video opens with Evan admitting he’s on drowsy Benadryl and recounts missing breakfast, leading to a late lunch. He explains that the ship blocks YouTube, so he hands the channel over to his team and focuses on writing a new book, condensing his channel’s 500 rules into ten core themes. The pair deal with unexpected allergies, visit the medical office, and discuss the low‑salt North Sea water. They enjoy a series of meals – mango cobbler, painkiller cocktails, a teppanyaki dinner with origami seahorses on the menu, green‑tea cake, pizza, and ice‑cream – while Nina works on her own projects. Throughout, they joke about stubbornness, hydration, and laundry, and Nina heads to a workout while Evan continues writing. The vlog ends with Evan celebrating finishing a first draft chunk of his book, encouraging viewers to believe in themselves, and teasing a stop in Oslo the next day.

Listen, I'm on drowsy Benadryl right now, okay? That's my excuse. What happened to the seahorse, Nina? Too hard. Well, at least she tried. I'm super pumped, guys! Finished the first draft. Hustle while you wait. That's what I'm talking about. Good morning everybody, happy day 5. Nina slept in a lot.
No, Evan slept in a lot.
We got up at 11 and we're getting ready for the day. Everything is closed for food because we missed breakfast, so we're gonna get ready for lunch. And we have a day at sea today, so I was planning on working on my YouTube channel, watching the videos for you guys, but they blocked YouTube on the boat, so not sure I'm gonna do. Maybe just hand it over to my team, trust them to deliver the gold, and spend the time today working on my new book. Could be fun.
We'll see.
Alright, had a good meal. How you feeling, Nina? He's feeling good. I'm getting allergies. Never gotten allergies on a cruise ship before, but the North Sea doesn't have a lot of salt. Usually the salt water gets rid of everything, but North Sea doesn't have a lot of salt, which I didn't know. So we're going to head to the medical office and get some allergy medication. Nina insisted that it happens.
You will thank me after.
I get stubborn about some things. Sometimes. Most of the time. Most of the time. But Nina's very stubborn too.
No.
It's not true.
You're very stubborn in your answer there, Nina.
No.
So we're gonna go find, uh, find out if they have allergy medication so that Evan can have a good rest of the trip. All right, medical hours are only 8 to 9:30 AM and 6 to 7:30 PM. That's some pretty quality working hours for a doctor, huh? Look at that, you get to work, what, 3 hours a day?
Yeah, pretty sweet.
We decided to go for a walk outside. One, to work off the food, and two, some of the— there's still some salt in the water, so hopefully that kicks in for me. Fingers crossed.
What is that? What's underneath?
I was about to make a video while in the Nina wasn't looking, I snuck it. I got some mango cobbler with caramel sauce and then I put some ice cream on top of it. Okay? That's what you marry. Alright, we're sitting here on the pool deck. Gonna enjoy my peach cobbler with ice cream. Get some work, a little bit done for the channel. I can't get access to YouTube so there's only a limited amount I can do. I'll end up filming a couple videos I think though. And then get to work on a new book. Yeah, pretty pumped. Meanwhile, Nina is looking at the drink menu and is gonna go get do some Sudoku and relax and enjoy the music and work on her new book or work on her new YouTube channel because lots of people are subscribing to it. When's the next video for your channel, Nina?
I don't know.
Okay, she wants her drink. Don't talk to me until she has her drink.
Okay, I'm gonna look at the buffet, I guess.
Okay, we'll see you soon.
If they come over, can you ask for the drink of the day? Painkiller. Painkiller. That's the drink of the What is the painkiller?
Where's that? The painkiller. Rum, pineapple, orange juice. I'll do one. Why not? We'll do two.
Can we have two?
Two painkillers. Alright.
Okay, I'm gonna look at the menu. Alright.
So these are all my remaining notes for the new book. Just pages and pages of notes that I need to translate into that to make it available for you guys. Nina is back. What did you get? Holy cow. Oh, it's just salad and a piece of fish or chicken and soup. And our drinks arrived. Our drinks arrived. The painkiller. Give it a try, baby. See if it takes away your pain. Nina needs to take pictures of all her food first.
The camera eats first.
Wow. How am I gonna do laundry?
Just soak your clothes and then rinse it out in the sink. Yeah.
Oh, she— Nina bought Tide. She bought me some Benadryl. We love Nina, she's special.
Okay, she got me water.
She got a sangria. Well, I got her a sangria. Hello, how's the sangria?
Strong. Every drink is strong here. And I'm working.
Working on the book, making good progress. Pretty pumped. Alright, made some good progress on the book. Got about 70% done what I wanted to for today, so maybe we'll spend a little time later. Nina got upset at me for not drinking enough water.
Yeah, you have to stay hydrated.
Have to stay hydrated. Gotta fix these allergies. She gave me some Claritin too. She went first to get Benadryl, then we realized that Benadryl is drowsy, and then decided to get some Claritin as well. Lots of love from the wife. We love you, Nina. Thank you for always thinking about us, Nina.
And by us, I mean me.
Special. Christina, we should put like hearts over Christina's head.
Christina's head?
I mean over Nina's head.
What the heck?
Christina, let's put hearts— Listen, I'm on drowsy Benadryl right now, okay? That's my excuse.
Let me get some water.
Alright, so Nina suggested that I go back to the cabin and I have a nap and maybe I would feel better. And I had a nap and I feel a little bit better. Good job, Nina. We are heading off to the teppanyaki dinner reservation. This is the most popular restaurant on the boat and you have to make reservations for it, so we did. It's a steakhouse. I think? We're gonna go see. Ready to eat. We are hungry.
So this is the menu.
And on the back it teaches you how to create a seahorse. Origami. So Nina's gonna try. Let's see your origami seahorse, Nina. What happened to the seahorse, Nina? Too hard. Well, at least she tried. Better than my seahorse. That's what my seahorse looks like. It's a cool idea to have it on the menu. Step 1 is too difficult to do. Okay, Nina decided to make something else. Let's show Believe Nation what you made, Nina.
Here?
Oh, look at that. It's a crane. Good job. How's the steak, Nina?
Good.
Nina likes it. Nina approved. Alright, just finished the dinner. What did you think?
It was a good dinner.
You full?
Very.
I'm full. I had to eat Nina's cake dessert. I'm not a big cake person, but that was some yummy green tea cake. Next, what are we doing? Are we going to go work out?
I have to relax a little bit. Come on.
Next, relax.
Nina's gonna go work out. I'm taking a pass because of the allergies. Hopefully these pills will kick in soon, and then maybe while Nina's out, I'll keep working on my book. Yeah, hustle while you wait. That's what I'm talking about.
Hello, Feliz Nation! Finished my dinner, have a glass of wine after dinner, and I'm off to work out right now.
Have fun, Nina! We'll see you.
Love you.
Alright, Nina's gone. Time to work on the book. I'm super pumped, guys! Finished the first draft, at least the chunk that I wanted to get done today. I'm not showing you everything here, but this is your cheat sheet for success. I took the top 500 rules from my channel and condensed it down into the 10 most common themes that keep coming up, and that's what this book is about. So pumped for you guys to see this. I'm excited! The wife has returned. How was your workout?
It was good. I did 20 minutes weight and then 1 hour cardio.
1 hour! High five for the 1 hour!
Well, almost. 55 minutes.
I got everything I wanted to do in the book and more today. Yeah, we're going to the park. Oh, she got food.
I want to get some snack for the husband.
Actually, that's all for me.
No, actually, I was— I don't know if you want anything, so I just got some. But if you want, I could go up to get more. This is fresh pizza, they just made it.
Well, last time I ate the pizza, you got upset that I ate all of it.
Yeah, because I got 4 slices, you got— you ate it all.
Well, I did. Okay.
And then, and I got you, um, a can of beer.
Oh wow, nice. How much love is there for the Nina? So special. Okay, well, that's good. You deserve it. All right, maybe I'll go up and get some ice cream too. All right, we just came back from upstairs. You should be— you should be on the— on this side, on the inside. Look at Nina, there she is. Decided to get some celebratory ice cream sundae, and we got a lemon meringue pie. And Nina got some more pizza and ice cream and another glass of wine, which is somewhere. So we're going to enjoy and celebrate our first day at sea. Pretty productive day all in all. Looking forward to hitting up Oslo tomorrow. Thank you guys so much for watching. We believe in you. We hope you continue to believe in yourself and whatever your way is.
Much love. See you soon. Bye.
